A Journey in Time -- From Conservatism to Extremism, An American Problem

BuzzFlash,
"What is objectionable, what is dangerous about extremists is not that they are extreme, but that they are intolerant. The evil is not what they say about their cause, but what they say about their opponents." -- Robert F. Kennedy, The Pursuit of Justice: Extremism, Left and Right, 1964
How Many Wrong Steps Should One Person Get Before Tripping Up?
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Wed, 06/04/2008 - 1:58pm.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
Just judging from how many wrong steps Bush has been able to take . . . the worst America can offer to the world, and without accountability, seems to be in vogue. But, most Americans know that this Bush GOP government (30 years of it) has in no way ever represented this country, democracy, or the American people . . . so why would anyone in Congress, who cared about their job, support such a criminal and treasonous regime, and why do they still, no matter what Bush does?

Pelosi Clearing the Table Again, or Just Slipping It Under the DLC Carpet?
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Thu, 05/29/2008 - 2:42pm.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
After Pelosi's intervention regarding the Bush impeachment . . . how can we be sure that Pelosi can be nonpartisan and not clear the crowded path for a frustrated Hillary Clinton? Could that be the last straw to be used in the Clinton camp? Do we really think that the Clinton campaign hadn't thought of who would be in position in the White House if the Bush/Cheney treasonous couple was to be impeached? Pelosi is the last person who should be trusted to intervene in anything favorable to democratic government.
Greatness, Gratitude, and Grief

BuzzFlash,
For Senator Edward Kennedy's Greatness -- We Americans Send Our Love and Our Gratitude
I know that I speak for many of us Americans who "hated" to hear that Senator Kennedy suddenly became ill and was in the hospital. And, when hearing what caused his seizure and suspected prognosis, I felt anger, loss, sadness and then hope that Senator Kennedy, because he is such a tenacious fighter with a strong sense of conviction, will be the one to determine his own destiny.

Political Treason in Israel? Treasonous Acts Started Before 911
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Mon, 05/19/2008 - 11:33am.BuzzFlash,
Bush's speech has been called political treason. Yes, agreed, but, we haven't heard that word "treason" repeated as often as it should have been for all of the seven years that Bush has sat his behind down in the Oval office. (Of course, Bush's father pardoned those who could have testified against him and Clinton stopped those investigations, so Poppy Bush has never paid the price for his crimes while in office. It runs in the family. Their money made off the backs of Americans fighting WWII.)
Democracy to Some Only Skin Deep

BuzzFlash,
"There can be no 50-50 Americanism in this country. There is room here for only 100 percent Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else." Theodore Roosevelt, Address, Republican National Convention, 1904
It's been disturbing to read some of the comments made by a few fellow Americans during this long Democratic campaign. Comments from those who don't seem to know better, and then there were the comments from those Americans who do know better.

The Art of Pointless Polemic Politics
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Wed, 04/30/2008 - 5:30pm.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
A better term would be polecat (skunk) polemic politics because, up to now, they have had a strong and lasting smell to them . . . we Americans have an illegal and treasonous Bush GOP invasion/war/occupation going on where people are dying every day and we have to listen to the constant barrage of he said/she said Clinton/McCain politics in their hoping that this small talk will be enough to take the American eyes off of our real problems . . . death, debt, and destruction of Afghanistan, Iraq, and the US way of life.

Shirley Smith: Debating the Debates ... No Respect for the American People ... Status Quo
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Fri, 04/18/2008 - 3:33pm.MS SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
We had intelligent debates at one time and they were conducted by the nonpartisan League of Women Voters. The MSM, big guy media, chose these candidates years ago because they thought Clinton, who would be bent or biasED towards them, would win, or another scenario would be that this is the only way the Bush GOP thought they could win by splitting up the Democratic Party, knowing that the Clintons, in the end, will always try to please the Bushes.
