Taking Folksy to a Fault?

BuzzFlash,
"Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." Martin Luther King, Jr., 1963Am I the only one, after listening to Sarah Palin, if I didn't know that she was from Alaska, I would have thought she was from somewhere along the Mason/Dixon line, not quite the South, but sorta, kinda not from Alaska . . . I've had a whole family from the Northwest, including Alaska, and none of them had fake southern accents. Trying to identify with "Joe Six-pack and hockey moms" is one thing, but it is insulting to think that most of us Americans are ignorant enough or stupid enough to want more of what we've had for the last eight years from the Bush GOP. How many people would vote for Jed Clampett for President or VP, even though he was a millionaire that struck oil, and you could sit down and have a beer with him?
Jockeying for the Highest Paid Job of Jobbery in the US -- Too Easy? You Bet!

BuzzFlash,
The quest for the infamous US Oval Office (due to the Bush GOP) is a "job," not a throne that can be bought. However, it does sorta, kinda seem as if the Bush GOP think they should have that job forever regardless of the poor handling (criminal) of US government that has been going on by these same people for the last 30 years. Now, as we Americans slip into the belly of the bankrupted GOP beast and begin doing without . . . these Wall Street Republican fat cats want to be bailed out. And, that such a job as President should be given to Republicans again, the very people who have done everything from deregulation to privatization to kill US government, without any hard-lined interviews, resumes, past duties, even debates (remember Bush's photo of his back rigged with some device?) . . . the candidate for this job even takes an oath of office, which Bush took very lightly.

Wall Street White Elephant Bailout: Bush GOP Bootstraps or US Citizen Bondage
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Mon, 09/22/2008 - 9:56am.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
Bailout the GOP wealthy again and again? Remember the Savings and Loans? The Banks? The Republicans will bail out or pardon, and then give out rewards of high paying government jobs. How many Americans remember being sermonized constantly about those infamous bootstraps from these Bush GOP ne'er-do-wells, who are always found sucking away on some government teat?

The Secondary or Second Rate Players Join the Bush GOP Tag Team

BuzzFlash,
A journalist is a grumbler, a censurer, a giver of advice, a regent of sovereigns, a tutor of nations. Four hostile newspapers are more to be feared than a thousand bayonets. -- Napoleon.
We know that's true. We've had eight years of criminal and treasonous actions committed by this criminal Bush GOP regime, and the stories still are missing in the news; and now the praises of the McCain/Palin ticket carry on, even if they (MSM) don't know anything about Palin. Are they afraid to ask, afraid of what they might find out?
What is more surprising about the Bush GOP today, than the GOP MSM that refuses to ask the right questions or to investigate (once and for all, we Americans have always known that they are not liberal, never have been, and especially the right hand of the Bush GOP, Fox News) is that after eight years of driving this economy into a nose dive that has gone so deep, until digging our way to China has become a reality, it's surprising that the Bush GOP chose two people who sing the same songs and mimic the same losing pattern in their rhetoric used by the Bush GOP administration.
Americans Putting America First -- And, Size Does Matter
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Thu, 09/04/2008 - 4:14pm.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
America and we Americans matter. Size matters, the US has one of the largest economies in the world (well, these figures come from 2000, before the Bush GOP had a run with this government), and as we all know today, we now have the "largest debt" ever in US history, and Bush and his minions sold us to China. Yes, the size of US debt matters.
We are living on borrowed money, and maybe borrowed time. Ask Americans how that feels. Due to loss of jobs, and salary cuts, many Americans are having to supplement their incomes with borrowed money. Many have lost their homes. Still, more have lost their lives, and all they wanted was a good education. A good education today can cost as much as $50,000 a year. Who will get the good education at those prices? Not the majority of Americans.
The Difference Between Facts and Flummery

BuzzFlash,
I was so proud of Obama last night because he didn't hug the middle of the road, he chose to drive his message right down the straight-away ... there can be no mistake about what Obama intends to do for this country. Anyone who could raise the hopes and wipe away the tears and fears has to be a champion in this cruel game of politics. Anyone, including Obama's charming, intelligent, and sincere wife, Michelle, are champions because they want to step up and clean up eight years of Bush GOP folly. That's going to be a job of massive proportion, and we all have to help.
Experience or Empire ... Cleaning Up Our Act

BuzzFlash,
"The progress of evolution from President Washington to President Grant [is] alone enough to upset Darwin." -- Henry Adams, Education, 1907
I think we could add a few more names to that quote and it would still ring true today. All of a sudden we keep hearing how people are concerned about how they want experience in the White House. What kind of experience? The kind that supported this illegal and criminal Bush GOP regime, without fail, for eight years? Bush, regardless of how much blood he has spilled or how much fraud he has allowed to go on, or the legislative war on the American people, was always supported by almost every Republican in Congress.

Fleecing the Flag
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Tue, 08/12/2008 - 12:27pm.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
"Laws are like cobwebs, which may catch small flies, but let wasps and hornets break through." -- Jonathan Swift, 1667-1745
When I saw the video of Bush playing with the small flag in his hand, my first thought was not of how he was desecrating the American flag as many were calling it, but wondering how many thousands of people did it take to put him in that crowd of people and make it look as if he was sitting there alone like any other person enjoying the surrounding events, and what is the bottom line that will be charged to US taxpayers.
Another picture came to mind. Does it occur to Bush that he is sitting in the country that bought all of the red ink that he and his criminal administration could supply? Has Bush or any of his minions given any thought as to what we could use for collateral, I wonder?
