BuzzFlash,
"Die when I may, I want it said of me by those who know me best, that I have always plucked a thistle and planted a flower where I thought a flower would grow." -- Abraham Lincoln
Listening to President Obama yesterday, he is beginning to realize that for this Republican Party, there will be no growth, no working for the people of this country, and the last election didn't knock them into the real world at all. If it weren't so criminal, these last eight years of invading two countries and killing a city in the US, giving American citizens the highest debt ever in US history, and responsible for the deaths and destruction of "millions" of lives, their explanation that they are too "conservative" to pass a stimulus bill that will only begin to help to solve the problems this Republican Party has brought down upon this nation since the beginning of Reaganomics ... it's almost comedic for Republicans in Congress to call themselves conservative, if it weren't so unpatriotic, un-American, and just plain stupid to think that we Americans will fall for such propaganda, when all they are really thinking about is continuing the power and the greed that came along with their solidarity under a Bush Republican regime.
Conservatism: Debt, Death, and Destruction By Way Of Tax Cuts
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Thu, 01/29/2009 - 3:57pm.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
Where this country and we Americans are today is due partly because of the "let bygones be bygones, turn the other cheek, go-along to get-along" thinking, led by the Democratic leadership in Congress. Every President who really was dedicated to this country has had to fight what is a misnomer: "Conservatism." The Republican Party is responsible for everything that is wrong with this country today because they are not conservative when it comes to using and misusing their power to yield wealth and comfort for themselves, and to hell with what their jobs are, which is working for the American people. How can anyone refuse to face the facts that this country has the highest debt ever in US history, and say that they are "conservative?"

BuzzFlash,
After eight years of debt, death, and the destruction of millions of lives, talking to the Bush treasonous GOP is about the last thing I give a damn about. These Republicans can't do government, (thirty years have proved that over and over) and they will never do what's best for this country. All one has to do is just take a glance at the past eight years of thieving and slaughter.
Accountability is what these supporters of treason need, not dinner at eight, or accommodations, or thank you notes, love letters, nice conversations, or anything else. They had "eight" years to do what was right. They were killing, thieving, robbing the poor, fraud, anything that was deemed illegal by the rest of the country, crimes ordinary Americans go to jail for and the same things they were doing under the guise of working for the US government.

Patronize or Patriotism ... That's Obama's Choice

BuzzFlash,
If the Bush GOP in Congress, what's left of them, really wanted to change the economy of this country, and cared, instead of lining their own pockets and the deep pockets of their donors, including MSM, they would have made the big money of this country pay their own way years ago, right after we found out during Reconomics that those who get giant tax cuts, invest in themselves, and they never, ever create jobs.
The bottom line here is that the Bush Republicans in Congress know better, but they want to be able to say that Obama failed, and happy to help him, because Obama will fail if he listens to those same people who brought this country down on its knees by doing whatever the hell they wanted to do, and running the government of the US was not one of them. Greed is what has been running this country, and from all accounts that we hear on TV, it's still there.

BuzzFlash,
Regardless of what language we use to say good-bye to the Bush/Cheney/Rove GOP regime, we must hope to see them again ... in court. Seen and being heard in the court of public opinion, which is what the Republican Party has had for the last thirty odd years, is not enough, and the reason we know it's not enough is because these past eight years of this treasonous Bush administration might have been prevented.
What's in a name? To Bush and his loyalists, a name could get a person kidnapped off an American street, put into prison, sent to another country to be tortured. Your name could get you on a list given to the airlines, so you could be detained and harassed for no reason other than your name. People were bought and paid for in Pakistan, by just the word of another person, and put into prisons, so Bush/Cheney/Rove could brag about how they were fighting terrorism.

Proof Was In The Holiday Puddings -- Gasoline Price Again on the Rise
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Fri, 01/09/2009 - 3:25pm.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
Now, as expected and as predicted, (by me and probably others) gas prices are zooming back up. Not because of Gaza or any of the other excuses we are hearing about or reading about in MSM, but because of the oil and gas oligarchies. Why did gas go down before the holidays? To increase spending by US citizens for the corporations who depend on the holiday sales for the profits of the coming year.
Remember, the oil and gas companies made the largest profits ever ... EVER in their history due to the Bush GOP's policies. They took gas prices up so high that many people were forced out of business, at a time when gas in Iran was reported to be .09 cents a gallon. Of course, that wasn't reported in any US paper or TV station. Many US citizens, who were truck drivers were forced to quit their jobs.
Beyond Belief ... Old and Ancient Thoughts for a New Year ... A New Era
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Sat, 01/03/2009 - 1:58am.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
The New Year brings about many differences in the thoughts among the masses. Many of us Americans are thinking about what we can do to make the coming year, 2009, better for ourselves, our loved ones, and many of us make lists of goals to accomplish this in the coming year. It's also a time for reflection, and I find myself thinking about the past year, the past eight years, and then the past fifty years of US history . . . along with this, I can't think about all of those years without remembering the many lives that have been touched with tragedies that didn't have to happen to them, but were allowed to happen.- Login or register to post comments

Pentagon Wants to Double Force in Afghanistan -- Stupidity Reigns
Submitted by christine on Mon, 12/22/2008 - 3:20pm.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
How far should we Americans allow this stupidity to go? Hasn't this country killed enough people for nothing other than the egos of bullying maniacs, who send others out to kill in their name? We are becoming our own worst enemy. How do these bastards all end up in DC?
Up to 30,000 new U.S. troops in Afghanistan by summer (Reuters)
What would we do without the brains in DC? Eh? Everybody who is an adult today knows what happened to Russia and is happening to the US for being in places they don't belong. You can't win in these countries and change their belief systems that are handed down, much like our own racism is handed down generation to generation.

BuzzFlash,
"Words as is well known, are great foes of reality." -- Joseph Conrad (Teodor Joseph Konrad Korzeniowski;1857-1924)
Remember the Reverend Wright and how the MSM and the other candidates treated him, and Obama had to come out and talk about him and his relationship with him? Remember? Here's a review of that time, and I, for one, saw at the time that he, the Reverend Wright, was in the news for days because he was speaking out about the US government and he was pastor of Obama's church. A review of that time.
While the acquittal of Sean Bell's lynch mob was greeted with pleas for calm and reflection, Jeremiah Wright got front-paged from coast to coast, and dominated the national news for days. Even Obama, who in a speech on race in March had mildly admonished Wright, called a press conference to attack Wright's "rant" as "appalling and offensive." (snip)
