It Pays to Pay Attention to the Past ... Memories Do Count for Good Government

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

BuzzFlash,

This is good government? No, this appointment is the way our government has been replaced by partisan hacks, and these Bush GOP candidates, regardless of how they want people to forget the past, we still have a hellava lot of the present to deal with that has been caused by this treasonous Bush GOP government, and it is treated so casually, because the same mistakes keep being made.

People Should Understand the Definition of Terrorism

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

This is a recap by Parry that I was glad to be reminded of, especially why the Marines were targeted in Lebanon years ago. I have been guilty of swallowing the word "terrorism," which does seem to be used against just one group of people, even though Israel, the US, and the Arabs are all guilty of killing thousands of innocent people. All are guilty. And, it seems that there is no difference, no real intelligence in any of the leadership today. Bush fits right in. The problem is that these leaders such as Bush and the others who are the ones instructing the violence, they never have to be afraid for their own skin. That is what is wrong with this picture. I resent every single penny spent on the protection of Bush. Every cent.

Time Killed, Dreams Buried -- Ms. Smith Goes to Washington

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

BuzzFlash,

Killing time is the chief end of our society. -- Ugo Betti, The Fugitive, 1953

These members of the Bush GOP actually think that every American's awareness of the Bush GOP's timeline for the last six years is closer to a Salvador Dali clock or stopwatch. That Americans merely have to be told something or shown some symbol of time past, as if it had nothing to do with them, yet, the symbol of those burning towers had everything to do with the Bush GOP.

A Hubristic Hand Job and a Missing Pound of Couth

BuzzFlash,

Bush is a multimillionaire, and a very big expense tab to the American taxpayer, but he still can't afford a pound of couth. I thought it was standard procedure that everyone in the White House got one, whether they needed it or not.

Selling Out America

BuzzFlash,
Laws are sand, customs are rock. Laws can be evaded and punishment escaped, but an openly transgressed custom brings sure punishment. Mark Twain, letter, 1908.

The Bush GOP, a group of sycophantic scavengers, are selling out our ports, our roads, infrastructure, our common wealth ... what's next? Our icons? Our States? Maybe it's time for Americans to quit joking about the sale of this and that, such as the Brooklyn bridge, and find out who really owns it, and what else in this country is being disposed of, discounted, and up for sale, besides our democracy, our Bill of Rights, along with the cheapening of the lives of all Americans.
