"Forever Honor'd and Forever Mourn'd" Homer, Iliad

Buzz Flash,
In deep sorrow, I weep for such a loss as the death of Senator Edward Kennedy. Like many Americans, I didn't know him personally, but I didn't have to, to understand that he cared about every person who lived in this country. We could see it clearly in his years of work, and especially in his book that came out in 2006, "America Back on Track."
He talks about "the seven challenges." 1) Reclaiming our Constitutional Democracy; 2) Protecting our national security; 3) Participating fully in a shrinking world; 4) Creating an economy that works for all; 5) Guaranteeing healthcare for every American; 6) Continuing the march of progress toward equal opportunity for all; 7) Uniting our nation and restoring our basic values. All of those same problems, I hate to say, that we are still facing today.

How Do You Hide a Friendly Bush GOP Hippopotamus Named Neofascism

Buzz Flash,
The hippopotamus is one of the most aggressive creatures in the world and is often regarded as the most ferocious animal in Africa.
Hippopotamus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
With all of this talk against healthcare for American citizens by the neoconservatives in Congress . . . I've noticed something very obvious in MSM's reporting lately. We all have seen the numbers. Seventy-five percent of us Americans want good healthcare. Personally, after seeing Sicko by Michael Moore, I want what Canada has or the French have or the kind of caring healthcare that Great Britain has for its citizens and/or copies of the healthcare that many other countries around the world provide for their people. And, what do people do when they want to copy successful programs? They talk to those people. But, we haven't seen any of that, have we?
With the type of coverage by this country's MSM, all of the reports that we Americans see in the media are all about the Bush GOP support group of 25%, all of the time. A group, who, through whatever rose colored glasses they see with when viewing this Bush GOP today, are against their own good health care, their families' good healthcare, their neighbors' good health care . . . who is going to take care of them when this nation, a nation that has over 50 million people without healthcare at all, comes down with some national tragedy. No one should die because they cannot go to a clinic or a doctor.
The Publicized Rape of Public Discourse Without Fear of Accountability

Buzz Flash,
"A politician thinks of the next election; a statesman thinks of the next generation." James Freeman Clarke (d.1888), Sermon
It's quite obvious just taking a long look at this nation's track record of debt, death, and destruction . . . that, we don't have enough statesmen representing the people of this nation. And, those are not statesmen who were a voice of support for the Bush GOP regime and who still get respect and quoted by the media instead of being exposed for their constant use of racism and propaganda against Obama. Why is this? Because, so far, this country does not have U.S. law in U.S. government. One way to quiet the arrogant voice of the criminal and treasonous Bush GOP.
We Americans of this great country are still having to fight for our own government to be of, by, and for the people of this country. After all of the lives taken for this country, and today, out in the open, there are those who don't give a damn about the people of this nation, only what they can get out of it for themselves. We saw this in the 2000 election and the willingness of our own Supreme Court to break the law to put their GOP boy in the White House. We saw this in 2004 with more fraud in our election across this country and still, we couldn't depend on our Democrats in Congress to do anything about it. Bush should never have been in the White House ever, and most of the American citizens, today, understand this. But, that doesn't bring back the dead, those whose lives were lost due to a criminal government.
There's More Than One Kind of 'Hit- and-Run'

Buzz Flash,
Some people seem as if they can never have been children, and others seem as if they could never be anything else. George Dennison Prentice, Prenticeana, 1860.
The last eight years of the Bush GOP regime's war against the world and us Americans seemed as if it would never end. However, if we look at it within the context of time itself, it would not even amount to the blink of an eye. In that context, us Americans, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the city of New Orleans were all victims of the same hit-and-run tactics used by the Bush GOP regime.
Just thinking about all of the crimes committed by the Bush GOP regime and those who supported them, including many members of Congress, it's quite baffling to constantly hear the Bush GOP in Congress say that they hope the Obama Administration fails because they think that will put them in a positive position in this country. Since when is the criminal of a hit-and-run ever considered to be not guilty and instead, those found at the scene picking up the bloody chunks and fragments would be accused of the crime. How is this kind of Bush GOP reasoning sold to us Americans out in the motherland? Mainly through our big guy media. It makes such easy fillers for real news.
Think about it. These Bush Republicans in Congress think that if Obama fails to clean up their massive debt, death, and destruction that they caused during the last eight years of the Bush regime, that Obama and his administration will be blamed and will therefore help the Bush GOP politically in the future. That is a defamation of the character of every American who believes in U.S. democracy, thinking that we Americans are going to forget, not just the last eight years of Republican rule, but the last 30-40 years of criminal activity gone unpunished and was lead by the Bush GOP in U.S. government.
White on White - Democracy and the Bush GOP's Blight - Taking the High Road

The Republicans in Congress aren't fooling anyone out here in the motherland when they have said "no" to everything in President Obama's agenda, except for the bailout of the wealthy in this country. They aren't fooling anyone when they say they want his administration to fail. Their racism, their hate, their lack of responsibility towards American citizens are found to be astonishing. No? Actually, very predictable after the last eight years of their supporting the Bush Administration completely and without hesitation.
Anyone curious as to why race is still a factor in this country after all of these years since the Civil War? Generation after generation born without hate, have to be taught to hate, which is why we still see acts of hatred spewed with racism. Hating people because of the color of their skin. How stupid and ignorant is that in a country that wants to pride itself in education, and as a democracy. The color of one's skin was so important in many states at one time (1865) that they actually had a statute of what a white person was: "Not having any negro blood (Ark., Oklahoma); One having less than 1/8th of negro blood (Ala., Fla., Ga., Ind., Ky., Md., Minn., Miss., Mo., N.C., S.C., Tenn., Tex.,) One having less than a fourth (Mich., Neb., Ore., Va.,) One having less than one half, (Ohio)." Websters New International Dictionary Second Edition with Reference History.
I hate to bring up the past, however, it's because of the past that has not been faced by many in this country that we are still, today, having to put up with hate groups and a political party, the Bush GOP, that has a large membership of racists and they do not try to hide it. Grownups in our Congress acting like juvenile delinquents refusing to do their jobs, without any accountability for what they have done in the name of this country for the last eight years.

BuzzFlash,
"Civilization: The lamb's skin in which barbarism masquerades." -- Thomas Bailey Aldrich
Another murder of an innocent fellow American by another American citizen under the influence, and I'm not talking about alcohol. There's more than one kind of pollution within our environment. As it's been said recently, children who grow up, leave home, and become great leaders or great criminals . . . they, as in we the people, are the products of our environment, not of our parents. So, what does this have to do with pollution?
The Bush GOP has been setting the scene or creating the environment for those Americans who are easily seduced into believing that the whole world is against them. (birthing hate) These types are not insane, they are, for the most part, probably found to be willfully ignorant mixed with a substantial amount of stubborn stupidity, where others think their religion is all that matters. Their world is a world that has no room for the rights or beliefs of others, who differ from them, which makes them easy targets for the "them vs us" straw man theories that Republican talking heads use to set up this environmental stage of influence.

BuzzFlash,
How many deaths does it take for US government to act or to react? To many Americans, Dr. Tiller was a hero, ending the suffering and sorrow of many couples needing his services. Can any of us Americans imagine what it must be like to have to go through such stressful situations and have people, strangers, harassing you, stalking you, and intruding upon your privacy? All under the excuse of "free speech?" Such speech is not free. Dr. Tiller paid for it with his life, and many women undergoing traumatic surgeries paid for it with the stress of being harassed by total strangers who were also invading their private lives.

The Other Forgotten or Missing in Action "T" Words
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Fri, 05/29/2009 - 8:53am.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
"The one pervading evil of democracy is the tyranny of the majority, or rather that of the party . . . that succeeds, by force or fraud, in carrying elections. -- Lord Acton, The History of Freedom, 1907
As of late, it's been "torture" in the news all of the time. And, as always, that is to keep the other more important "T" words out of the press and out of the public's hearing or out of sight, out of mind . . . whatever works.
On a day that we Americans set aside to remember and pay our respects to those who gave up everything, their lives, in the name of this country, it is especially sad to know that, if this country paid more respect and took more responsibility towards the living in our military and in our National Guard . . . then after these last eight years of the Bush GOP regime, there would be at least 5,000 empty graves on Memorial weekend, and thousands of others living a life without injuries, and we would not have to read about suicides due to the lack of health care and having to return to Iraq, time after time, like human boomerangs.
The other "T" words that we are not hearing or seeing in the news are "tyranny" as explained in the above quote, "treason," "traitors," "truth," and "trust." Just try to find any one of those words in MSM today in articles referring to the Bush GOP.
The War on the Drug (Greed) That Isn't Being Fought

BuzzFlash,
It's certainly no secret what we Americans have been up against for over thirty years of runaway government, spearheaded by the Republican Party of today. From the Iran-Contra affair that was never prosecuted to the warnings received by George Bush before 911 and never given to the American people or to the airlines, to the lies that led this country into a treasonous invasion/occupation in Iraq and Afghanistan . . . lies that have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, including our own military . . . to the televised deaths of one of our own cities, New Orleans.
