Political Theater of the Absurd
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Fri, 11/20/2009 - 12:12pm.Buzz Flash,
Tragedy/Comedy: Tragedy and comedy are simply questions of value; a little misfit in life makes us laugh; a great one is tragedy and cause for expressions of grief. Elbert Hubbard, The Note-Book, 1927
Tragedy was the election in 2000 due to election fraud and the partisan, political interference of the U.S. Supreme Court that will forever tarnish that court. After that, it was one tragedy after another for eight long years. The Bush GOP members of Congress are talking about the trials in New York regarding 9/11 as being dangerous. The world is dangerous today because of the Bush GOP regime and their acts of terrorism around the world, using as an excuse, the word, terrorism, as in "fighting terrorism." Every act of violence is an act of terrorism. Just ask the victims. Bush, right after 9/11, bombed and killed close to 5,000 innocent people in Afghanistan. People, who had nothing to do with bin Laden or 9/11. Think about that number of deaths due to revenge. An action to please the blood thirsty people in this country at the time. No leadership at all in that action. It was cold-blooded murder.
Bush and Cheney had two to three months of warnings before 9/11 and took them seriously enough to warn friends not to fly commercial flights, such as Ashcroft and Willie Brown to name a couple who confessed of being the recipients of such warnings. Just as we Americans experienced for eight long years of the Bush/Cheney GOP leadership . . . no thought as to what their actions or lack of actions would cause to others, including the airlines. Why no accountability? Why do the Bush Republicans get to pick and choose what they want to remember about history? They remember 9/11, but fail to remember that if Bush had been a responsible resident of the White House, and had the American people and the airlines been warned, 9/11 most likely could have been prevented.

Buzz Flash,
Misers
Thief: Don't make a move, this is a stick-up!
Jack Benny: What?
Thief: You heard me.
Benny: Mister . . . Mister, put down that gun.
Thief: Shut up . . . Now, come on . . . your money or your life.
(Long pause) Look bud, I said: Your money or your life.
Benny: I'm thinking . . . "The Jack Benny Show," NBC-Radio, 1948
Divide and conquer. Isn't that what the plantation owners did at sometime during the 1600s when they became worried that the thousands of Indian, white and black slaves might band together and take over the plantations? So, they devised ways to get the slaves to hate or despise one another. Separate the masses? Well, the Republican Party has being doing so since Nixon. Pitting American citizens against their fellow Americans.
People should be responsible for their own behavior and judged accordingly. Not because of the color of their skin. Not because of their sexuality. Not because of where they are from, but because of who they are or their own actions . . . and that leaves us with those who voted against gay marriage in Maine. Those people voted against the happiness and well being of people that they don't even know or could never understand because of their narrow minded approach to people who are different from themselves.

Democracy Downgraded
Submitted by BuzzFlash on Fri, 10/30/2009 - 10:57am.MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
Buzz Flash,
Ah, when to the heart of man
Was it ever less than a treason
To go with the drift of things,
To yield with grade to reason . . .
Robert Frost, Reluctance, 1913
From reason to what's reasonable. A wide gap for this country's citizens to cross. People are hurting and wondering why, when in MSM they read that the U.S. crisis is over. Wouldn't it be reasonable for all of us citizens to hear the truth and then try to deal with it? Or, do we have to wait until we see people in long lines for jobs and food and people living in cars or more and more just out on the street, all the while, our Congress discusses reasons and what is reasonable.

Buzz Flash,
Government is more than the sum of all the interests, it is the paramount interest, the public interest. It must be the efficient, effective agent of a responsible citizenry, not the shelter of the incompetent and the corrupt."
Adlai Stevenson, Speech, Bloomington, IL, 1948.
The above written by a genius, yes, and a great reminder of what true leadership is all about, but today, all we hear are attacks on the Obama administration as if President Obama and the Democrats are responsible for the past eight years of the criminal Bush/Cheney/Rove GOP regime. Well, many Democrats in Congress did not speak up, especially, the leadership, and just let things slide real friendly like, which is why the Bush GOP wants to blame them for what they (Bush GOP) did for eight years . . . they are so confident, because they, so far, do not fear accountability and they think whatever they say and do can be achieved. And, why should they feel differently, when they were able to get this country to illegally invade and occupy another country, when they were able to get away with outing a CIA agent who tracked terrorists? When they were able to get away with election fraud, twice? When they got away with a war against the world and a legislative war against American citizens, who did not support their greed?

Buzz Flash,
"If thought corrupts language, language also corrupts thought." -- George Orwell
It's the corruption of thought through language from our government for the past eight years that has caused a large number of American citizens to become paranoid and fearful. Those actions and the language were used against us Americans for eight years, whether it was through legislature or through something as simple as just trying to travel. The Bush GOP's use of terrorism, paranoia, and fear was out there every day in order to control our thoughts and our behavior. And, our Congress allowed this, knowing it was all fake. Remember the stupid color-coded system announced every day or the duct tape protection? Stupidity ruled this country and most of our members of Congress went along with this. Our multimillionaire, well educated, members of Congress, I might add.

Haughty, High Priced Hatred At Our Beck and Call

Buzz Flash,
On AOL this morning. Just in case you all haven't seen this. And, these idiots actually were in government, which the buying and selling of U.S. govt by Bush GOP bozos has to stop. It has always galled me that people stick up their noses at prostitutes and yet, those women wouldn't be doing what they do, if the men didn't go after them and give them the job, sorta speak. What creeps. Larry Flynt was right, you know. Dems, it's all about money and the Bush GOP, it's all about sex. I guess these guys should give out "secret" awards to those businesses they frequent.

Buzz Flash,
A philosophy that describes the loyal Bush GOP . . .
Weakness . . . The greatest of all weaknesses is the fear of appearing weak. J.B. Bossuet, Politics from Holy Writ. 1709
And, in some deranged form of ideas, Bush and his followers thought fighting was a sign of strength. Sitting behind a desk and starting wars does not make the man or a good leader. We have the debt, death, and destruction to prove it.
The 20th century protection racket is still in top form . . . during the past few months, we Americans have seen that the infamous protection racket is still up and running. Insurance companies seem sure that they will make out in the healthcare debates. What happened to the healthcare bill that was supposed to be dedicated to Senator Kennedy? Eh? A government that can't take care of its citizens is no democracy.

Buzz Flash,
What does life look like when standing on a pedestal looking down at the masses and thinking that "There won't be enough left if we share?" And, having the power to forget the masses and just take their share.
When we Americans think we've seen it all . . . people willing to support this nation into an illegal invasion/occupation, crimes without any fear of stopping, and they continue, we can see through the actions of our own government that the brutal ideas that started with the annihilation of our indigenous people are not dead, but very much alive, even after a Civil War among the people of this nation, the hatred, the stupidity, the bigotry, the criminal hearts keep beating generation after generation. Does anyone understand why?
There's never any accountability for the actions of the elite and leadership of U.S. government. Their influence was what we saw during the media TV shots of the tea parties and the neocon mugging of the town hall meetings. So, we have a flag that people can go to jail for if they burn that flag, but no one ever thinks that debt, death, and destruction and complete disrespect for the common worker of this country, for U.S. military, for our friends and neighbors around the world, and for our immigrants, who come here, so they don't starve . . . that these insults to our flag and to those who died for this country, they amount to much more than the burning of any U.S. flag in protest. Much, much more. And, out own government puts up with it.
The Dawning of Deception or Still 'Waiting for Godot' -- Your Choice White House

Buzz Flash,
"Yes," I answered you last night;
"No," this morning, sir, I say:
Colors seen by candlelight
Will not look the same by day.
Elizabeth Barrett Browning, "The Lady's 'Yes,' " 1844.
Sometimes it's not so easy writing a column that might make sense when all I can think of are four letter words to describe what I'm feeling. I thought eight years of the Bush GOP neocon regime would finally make me burst a blood vessel before it was over, and when we had the great organization across the country put together by Governor Dean, all things suddenly seemed possible . . . that we could finally get this crime family out of U.S. government once and for all, and into the narrow halls of justice using U.S. law . . . at last. It's been since Nixon that us Americans have had to live with the crimes of debt, death, and destruction caused by our own government officials. The destruction of hundreds of thousands of fellow human beings' lives. It would seem that every democratically thinking American, especially those in government working for the people, would want to finally clean up U.S. government's acts of incivility towards this country and the world.
However, Clinton didn't do it. He brought us NAFTA instead, and what did the Bush GOP neocons do, they impeached him for a dalliance. They couldn't care less about doing their job and working for the people. As it's been quoted by Bush number one, (paraphrasing) that he thinks he was the father that Clinton never had. Well, how does it feel to have a father who should have been investigated and prosecuted for crimes during his reign of terror known as the Iran/Contra affair. Great family values.
