A sad day -- "Edward Kennedy, Senate Stalwart, Dies" -- Senator Kennedy's devotion to the people of this country is unsurpassed, his passing is indeed a loss for all of America! Prayers go out for his family.

Memo to President Obama -- It takes two parties for bipartisanship and as much as this information is negative, it is necessary to inform you -- "Republicans want Obama to fail. He needs to stop seeking consensus..." It doesn't matter how nice you are, it won't matter how hard you try, the Repuglicans are not interested in the American people or reforming healthcare, all they want is to "break" you, Mr. President. They are never going to be bipartisan! After all, they are the Party of NO!

Way back when the majority of healthcare providers were not for profit, "Privatizing" healthcare was sold to the American public en masse with the slogan that "privatization would deliver higher quality healthcare at a lower cost." It's obvious that "lower cost" never happened, and as far as "quality" is concerned that's a toss up! Americans are told the "higher prices" are necessary to pay for research, now I know that great strides have been made in medicine here in the USA, but what "cures" have actually been accomplished, why do we have antibiotic resistant strains of disease, why do "hospital acquired diseases" kill people, why do flu epidemics become pandemic, and even in a capitalistic society, why do people involved in producing healthcare have to make billions of dollars to deliver said care???

And the Repuglicans are trying to blame "death panels" on the Democrats -- well get a load of this in today's AJC -- "Linder: Bills don't address real health care issues... U.S. Rep. John Linder (R-Duluth)...'We're going to spend 2 1/2 trillion dollars on health care this year, and half of that is going to be spent in the last six months of someone's life,' Linder said. 'And we're going to do MRIs the day before they die, because if we don't, we'll get sued.'" This from a U.S. Repuglican Congressional Representative.

To all those seniors who have been saying "hands off my Medicare," take a long look at what the Repuglicans really want to do to your Medicare -- "(HardBall) Tom DeLay: I Want To Privatize Medicare." Actually he said he "wants to privatize Medicare, Medicaid, and S-chip" and it's not just Tom DeLay, it's the entire Repuglican Party. By rejecting healthcare reform, you are putting your Medicare in the hands of those who really want to do away with Medicare. "Republicans: Let's Privatize Medicare! The goal is to phase out Medicare over time..." By the by, the Repuglicans also want to "privatize your Social Security"! "The day Social Security is privatized is the day you say good-bye to a check." Be careful of Repuglicans in patriot's clothing, they're just wolves waiting to devour everything good in America!

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. ...and whoever says, "You fool," shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.... Beware of practicing your righteousness before men to be noticed by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven.... Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth...You cannot serve God and wealth... In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets." Just have to wonder how many of those who call themselves "Christian" abide by these words? Just have to wonder what these town hall meeting Repuglican mobs would have done when Jesus went up to the Mount to teach???

"The Commonwealth Fund, a leading researcher on health care issues, published a 2002 report on co-ops that had been created to help individuals and small businesses purchase insurance. Researchers found numerous failed ventures, and concluded the model did not result in lower premiums or significantly reduce the number of the uninsured." Note "the model did not result in lower premiums or significantly reduce the number of the uninsured"! Small business co-ops have been around for years -- insurance remains very expensive within the co-op! Coverage is still limited to insurance companies provisions, pre-existing conditions, and pre-approved procedures. To those who oppose healthcare reform -- just wait it won't be long before health care costs will be astronomical, insurance premiums out of reach, and you will be among the underinsured or uninsured, you won't have to worry about "death panels," you will be left to die because you can't pay the piper! Healthcare has become a business, a corporate business, and the bottom line isn't healthcare, it's profits!

Fear is the basis of anger and the Repuglicans certainly know how to instill fear in the American people to rile them up and create a mob mentality! I am reminded that this same psychological use of fear and anger can escalate into horrific atrocities! Unfortunately it seems this is a lesson lost on all Repuglicans!!!

(By Roger L Wollenberg Via Bloomberg News)" When it comes down to brass tacks, and possible investigations, Repuglicans will turn their vehemence on their own, they will eat each other up! Gone is the Reagan Doctrine, support flies out the window and actually it's delightful to watch them implode. It will be even more satisfying to see them "frogmarched" in handcuffs off to jail.

"CNN Refusing To Run Health Care Ad Critical Of Insurance Industry," sounds like CNN is afraid of losing all those anti-depressant ads, not to mention the non-stop ads for "Erectile dysfunction" ads. Oh for America before money was more important than integrity!
