Tornadoes and Terrorists: What Do They Have in Common?

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

BuzzFlash,

We will always have certain weather patterns that will bring on tornadoes, some that cannot be predicted when or where and the same pattern can be said about those who hate us. What is maddening is the fact that for over 30 years, democracy has been in a battle with our own people, today, those people are known as the Republican Party and anyone who supports them, including some Democrats.

They have used and abused the word "terrorist" as in their so-called "War on Terrorism," and such a remark should mark this political sham of a Party for what it really stands for. Why? Because the very statement such as a "war on terrorism," is a stupid and empty statement. War is terrorism. Violence of any kind is an act of terrorism. And, if the Bush GOP wants more of a definition . . . when we have a whole Congress of Republicans refusing to do their jobs, instead, they are trying to spread fear and blame throughout this country . . . that is an act against democracy and because of the terrorist acts committed for the last 30 years by the Reagan/Bush/Bush regimes . . . we Americans are misunderstood and hated around the world.

The U.S. is today a military regime and is feared around the world because of what the Bush GOP and U.S. military have done around the world, putting terror into the hearts and minds of citizens in various countries around the world and that hate and terror will exist in those minds for many years to come. And, because U.S. government has failed (failed also by funding such a military when we are not defending this country, but this country is constantly killing innocent people in other countries) to make those in U.S. government accountable for all of the debt, death, and destruction, people around the world think this U.S. government represents the people of this nation. The message is real and clear, and so is their hate and fear. Remember, before the attack on the CIA in Afghanistan, it was reported that the U.S. had killed eight children. Thousands of young people (and our own) around the world have died early deaths due to the U.S.

What is so odd about being a terrorist and belonging to the "upper crust?" Bush was from the privileged, so are many who are in power over the rest of us in this nation. We do know that all of them are considered wealthy. Bin Laden was also from a wealthy family. Our prisons are full of "lifers," however, where is the accountability in U.S. government for those who kill or for those who favor killing from afar and believe in profiting from war. Until the people of this nation demand changes in U.S. government (term limits for one and elections without money for another), the terrorism by this country and those who hate us will continue. In the U.S., people have been programmed by the elite to think that our worst criminals are poor, but that is just another scam. The elite have the power and they use the poor to carry out that power, so they (elite) don't have to.

Another incident that stands out and shouts at the rest of us Americans . . . again, the U.S. was warned and our government did nothing. The same warnings that came months before 911 and the Bush/Cheney/Rove administration did nothing . . . oh, they did warn their friends not to fly, so they took the warnings seriously. And, what did they get for failing to do their jobs? Nothing, so why should any U.S. government officials worry about not doing their jobs.

LAGOS, Nigeria (Dec. 27) -- As a member of an upper crust Nigerian family, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab received the best schooling, from the elite British International School in West Africa to the vaunted University College London.

But the education he wanted was of a different sort: Nigerian officials say his interest in extremist Islam prompted his father to warn U.S. authorities. As Abdulmutallab was being escorted in handcuffs off the Detroit-bound airliner he attempted to blow up on Christmas Day, he told U.S. officials that he had sought an extremist education at an Islamist hotbed in Yemen.

This guy was a walking telegram. No luggage, one-way ticket, and a father that warned the U.S. The only thing he didn't have was a note of instructions pinned to his shirt explaining what he was going to do.

Remember, under the Bush regime, thousands have been added to the list of people to check out when trying to fly . . . many names are just those who are not supporters of the Bush GOP regime. Under Bush, people who were well known here and had visas were being refused entry into this country. This kind of stupidity ruins real intelligence work. The Bush/Cheney regime did these things to make the American people think they were really doing their jobs, when they were not. Problems just going to from Canada now exist.

The invasion into Iraq and Afghanistan were scams and the companies involved with no-bid contracts made millions on the dead in Iraq. To this day, hundreds of thousands dead, millions displaced and still, no accountability in this country according to U.S. law for those who were responsible. And, yet, we Americans are constantly being exposed to the insults coming from Cheney in MSM. Cheney's company was in bankruptcy before the invasion/occupation of Iraq. No accountability and his constant venomous insults are to remind us citizens that U.S. law only pertains to us citizens out in the mother land, and not to those who are supposed to be working for the people of this nation, and who are supposed to be upholding the demands made by a living democracy, and not for those who commit crimes while serving in U.S. government.

There are many titles that we could call the U.S. government of today and none of them would be a democracy. 1) Government by military: stratocracy; 2) Government by a few: oligarchy; 3) Government by the rich: plutocracy; 4) Government by religious leaders: hagiarchy, hagiocracy, hierocracy. And, there's so much more, but the above, all together . . . kinda, sorta describes more of what this country has been about for the last 30 years of rule by an out-of-control political party, namely, the Bush GOP.

Was this latest threat to the American people a missed opportunity or just like the Bush regime, kept quiet on purpose. We, the people, may never know, but those in government should know.

If Obama expects to see change within our intelligent system, maybe he should get the Bush GOP out of his administration, and instead of putting us Americans through the hoops, try doing it to those who are responsible for such screw ups. And, then realize that the past is why we are where we are today. Investigate those screw ups to include accountability for the last 30 years.

Never forget, before 911, bin Laden (Bush family friend) and a scraggly bunch of guys, who were living in caves was the threat . . . today, because of what the Bush/Cheney/Rove regime did, we have no idea of how many members these groups have because we killed their friends, their families, and invaded and occupied their countries. How many Americans think they would just stand by an let another country do that to the U.S.?

Stupidity breeds violence and that type of stupidity should never be allowed in leadership positions in a real, working democracy. When U.S. military stops terrorizing the world, stops occupying countries around the world, stops supporting anti-democratic governments . . . these so-called terrorists will have no reason to justify their actions, even to recruits . . . but, the Bush GOP and their followers gave them enough pain and heartache for their hate to last for many years, regardless of how we Americans feel about this nation of violence.

The Republican Party of today stands for nothing much (the Party of No), they do nothing much, and they will always need an enemy to justify their greed for the glory of power, position, and posterity. They do not represent the majority of the American people of this century. The idea that extremists and terrorists should not come from the so-called elite or upper crust is as wrong as saying that common thugs cannot come from the upper crust, when we Americans should understand today that the upper crust can become just as cracked and violent (and with more buying power) as any criminal serving in U.S. prisons.

Again, we may have the best equipment in the world, but it will always come down to the people, and we have not had the best people in the world in charge of this country. I've said this before many times, to truly clean up this government and bring about change, it will take years and years of investigations, and until Americans (we, the people) take on this job seriously, whether it's tornadoes or terrorists . . . predictions will remain about the same . . . it's inevitable that we will always have them, and innocent people's lives will be constantly at risk . . . and, that's about all we Americans can count on until U.S. government begins to bring U.S. law into our own government and people have to be responsible or they will be made accountable. That's what the world wants to see. That's what we Americans want to see.

We have met the terrorists, and they are US!

The question that no one wants  to ask is why are there grass roots third world country terrorists in the first place?

Here's the answer:

They don't "hate our freedoms". They hate our freedom to prop up brutal regimes, invade their countries, kill innocent people and steal their resources. If we eliminate the reasons for committing terrorism (U.S. state sponsored terrorism) then we will eliminate terrorism.

Imperialism, genocide, torture and theft; Proud American traditions since 1492!

America - FUCK Yeah!!!

We have met the terrorists, and they are US!

And so,if we should we quit the field of battle, those "victims" of US would simply lay down their arms and give up their good fight? WE are the root cause of terrorism in this world?  Other countries, movements, or religiously organized thinkers have NO minds of their own, except in opposition to the West?

This is patronizing to those who wish to destroy us.  THEY have their own reasons, based on their OWN religion and politics and philosophy for going after us.  WE are NOT the cause of Everything that happens in this world.  Of course, Americans are totally insulted by the notion that our historical actions, and contemporary actions, are NOT the ultimate cause of all causes, for after all, WE are the most powerful country this world has ever seen and, therefore, we ARE responsible for every single casualty the world suffers.  Right.

Don't tell me that the only people on the face of this
Earth who can determine ANYTHING whatever that happens to them are victims of the West.  These people have MINDS and a HISTORY and a religiously determined pattern of existence that gives them dignity and a sense of self-hood and they are making their own choices.  And, in this day and age, they are choosing to make every attempt to murder us.

Sometimes Americans remind me of the battered woman who sincerely, and openly, and again and again continues to believe that the person committed to murdering her has a sincere interest in someone other than themselves.

We have actual, and real enemies, my friends. And our enemy is NOT us.

I'm doing my best not to laugh...

...and take your post seriously. It's quite an effort.

But suffice it to say that even if you're right...(guffaw)....you can take solice in the fact that your "terrorists" who want to kill "us" are amazingly and demonstrably incompetent. I will remind you that the average American has a much greater chance of being struck by lightning than being accosted by a foreign "terrorist".

Put things in perspective and man up...stop being such a pantywaist about a problem which, by all rational measures, is practically non-existent. Start worrying about being murdered by the American for-profit health care parasites. They murder 45,000 Americans a year...a feat surely the envy of every real or imagined "American-hating" terrorist.

Thanks, Shirley!

More pearls of wisdom! Keep up the good work!
