The above written by a genius, yes, and a great reminder of what true leadership is all about, but today, all we hear are attacks on the Obama administration as if President Obama and the Democrats are responsible for the past eight years of the criminal Bush/Cheney/Rove GOP regime. Well, many Democrats in Congress did not speak up, especially, the leadership, and just let things slide real friendly like, which is why the Bush GOP wants to blame them for what they (Bush GOP) did for eight years . . . they are so confident, because they, so far, do not fear accountability and they think whatever they say and do can be achieved. And, why should they feel differently, when they were able to get this country to illegally invade and occupy another country, when they were able to get away with outing a CIA agent who tracked terrorists? When they were able to get away with election fraud, twice? When they got away with a war against the world and a legislative war against American citizens, who did not support their greed?
 
Questions we constantly ask ourselves . . . we Americans can understand our own frustrations because we have had eight years of not only feeling the abuse, but watching the constant abuse towards others. The thinking Americans understand, not those citizens of this country who still support this double-dealing, renegade of a Republican Party, citizens who are not only ill-informed, but willfully ignorant. And, we responsible citizens can't wait on change for this nation, until those people catch up, It would help us a whole helluva lot if the Democrats in Congress would speak out as loud as the Bush GOP is seen to do in the news . . .
 
Why is it important to see Bush number one in the news, when he was never made accountable for the Iran/Contra affair or for his lying this country into the first Gulf War? Why is he treated like an elder statesman, without taking responsibility for his own actions during the last thirty years, and for the lives that his actions destroyed? And, what do we hear from Bush number two? He is going to be giving motivational speeches? Does that mean he will tell people how he made his money? How he was and still is a friend of the bin Laden family, and how a member of that family bailed him out of bankruptcy many years ago? How he failed to get bin Laden. How he failed to get the Anthrax killer. How he was able to get away with lying this country into a war. How mistakes of debt, death, and destruction are not important as long as you have a cult-like political following, all of whom profited off of an illegal invasion/occupation of a defenseless country. How Iraq was supposed to have WMD, yet not a plane able to fly?
 
Will Bush tell them that crime in U.S. government is not punishable, at least for those in leadership positions? Will he tell them to run for office in U.S. government and get rich? Questions, more questions, and never any answers. Remembering Bush on TV and acting as if he was searching for WMD in his office, while so many of us knew the lives his actions cost, that was not funny to the sane in this country, however, thinking about watching Bush give a speech, any speech, should beat the ratings of any comedy show on the TV market. I guess he will be wearing his favorite jacket, the one with the large hump in the back. You think?
 
Outraged, when I heard about the Bush GOP's dirty 30 who voted to protect Cheney's Halliburton/KBR instead of protecting the victims of rape . . . however, why should we be surprised by this vote. Again and again, it has to be stressed that until we get accountability in U.S. government, this will go on. Is there anyone in this country who doesn't understand that rape is also a component of war and there were rapes going on in our own military while in Iraq, and without any accountability. Remember the reports of questionable suicides that were reported within our own military? No real answers.
 
Should it surprise anyone that corporations want to be thought of as citizens without the responsibility? If any American citizen was to witness a crime or know of criminals who committed such crimes and refused to report such crimes and hinder investigations . . . there would be accountability demanded of that citizen, and they would pay through our criminal justice system . . . would they not?
 
And, why did Congress allow the Bush GOP regime to use a no-bid system within government. Why was nothing said or done about this at the time? This has been the system of doing business with the government for years, plus, anyone, such as Cheney, who was the head of Halliburton should never have been allowed because of the "ethics" involved. Did I say "ethics?" That alone should have been enough for members of Congress to address. Are we talking ethics when many people go from working for the government to becoming lobbyists? Why is this allowed? Where's the high standards, the integrity in government that we Americans should be able to expect? Why do we American citizens have to protest? Isn't that why we pay these members of Congress, these watch dogs, who are supposed to be the balance of power? Whatever the level of our expectations of those who work for us is allowed, high or low, that is the level we can expect to see from those who seek to fulfill only their own personal greed.

On November 1, a law will go into effect in Oklahoma that will post personal details about every abortion performed in the state and post them on the Internet. The information will be accessible via a public Web site, so anyone will be able to access details like the date of the abortion, the county in which the abortion was performed, the age of the mother, her marital status, and her race. Although lawmakers claim that no identifying information will be included, this kind of information could easily be used to pinpoint a woman in a small community.

Then there is the matter of the Hate Crime bill. Why are people not outraged that it took 11 years, instead of complaining about the Obama administration? Why is it so hard for this country to make Republicans accountable?

Rape is about power, and if there is any group more aggressive towards the recovery of their power, it's the cult of the Bush/Cheney/Rove GOP after their rape of this country for eight long years. Power that was allowed to go unquestioned, uninvestigated, and so far, unpunished. Democrats and Republicans in Congress are to blame for this abuse of U.S. law, U.S. Democracy, and our U.S. Constitution.
 
I'm not a lawyer, and that's what makes this so appalling. If we American citizens could understand what was going on and why we are where we are today, and we see these actions, such as the 30 members of U.S. Congress (many who are probably lawyers), who are supposed to be protecting the citizens of this country, but, instead, vote for the protection of those committing such crimes as rape . . . remember, these are the same members of the Bush GOP who supported the criminal actions for the last eight years and today, want to blame the Obama administration. They have refused to do their jobs for the people of this country, and should at least feel some responsibility for the mess we are in and want to help clean it up, but they don't . . . all members of Congress do take the same oaths of office . . . oaths that evidently mean nothing to these people, who seem proud to stand around in the news doing what they do best . . . supporting those who speak of violence, hate, and racism, and try to blame the Obama administration for their crimes.
 
For this nation to have real change, we, the people, must take the money out of elections and it's time to change our Constitution, again. We citizens of this country should not have to wait for an election year to get rid of those who, not only refuse to do their job for the people of this nation, are getting paid for not doing their job, and who find it in their better interests to protect the criminals within our government.
 
Here is part of an article from May of 2007. A reminder of how our Congress has not worked on the people's behalf all during the Bush GOP years. Of course we all know that, just read the statistics of those murdered while serving under the Bush administration.
 
Just a couple of paragraphs from this article as a reminder because it seems that many Americans, if listening to the GOP MSM, have already forgotten why we are were we are today with healthcare, our military, jobs, food costs, etc.

Corporations vs. Citizens

The best examples are, of course, the petroleum corporations, that are practically running our foreign policy, that make us make war in the Middle East, and cause thousands of our young people to die or be wounded. The oil industry interest is so effective, that the President of the United States resists the strong pressure from Congress to end the war soon, even by members of his own party. Representatives will be re-elected in 2008. They have to listen to the voice of the people who want the war ended. The President will not be elected any more, has personal interest in oil, and insists in continuing the war.

A second example is the drug companies. Drug companies in the U.S. have peculiar pricing policies. They are charging all their research expenses to us Americans and sell their drugs abroad at much lower prices. This is called "dumping." In the 60's and 70's the U.S. was punishing Japanese steel manufacturers for exporting steel to the U.S. at below their domestic price. Now our drug companies are doing exactly the same thing, and the government says nothing, because politicians receive huge funds from drug corporations. Everywhere , industries try to favor their own citizens in pricing, not ours, In 2005 my wife's and my prescriptions and the insurance to get them was costing us over $10,000 a year. In Canada the same American-made drugs were priced considerably lower. I remember, AARP tried to import drugs from Canada for its members, the United States government (People WE had elected) forbade the import of Canadian drugs. They did that while talking of free trade with the other side of their mouth. They proved that they are in the pockets of the drug industry.

What we Americans can do is to refuse to accept anything, except what we want from this Congress. Is there any woman out there today in the U.S. who would still vote Republican, knowing how these people feel about women, or knowing how these people feel about American citizens' lives, both men and women, and don't forget our young people, our children. They (the Bush GOP) have no pride, no honor, and no morality. And, we Americans should not have to put up with such actions until elections. Why can't we fire those who refuse to do their jobs? I'm so old that I still remember when lawyers would argue rape in a courtroom, using a coke bottle. Many of us citizens understand that we can't get change and still get along with these thugs in the Bush GOP cult. We need accountability. I think many would be surprised at how silent these same robber barons would become, once they were asked to talk within our justice system. It's long overdue.
 
What else do I wonder about? What do the women associated with the lives of those dirty 30 think, and if the word "rape" does not move those members of Congress enough to want to protect U.S. citizens, or to even make them a little uncomfortable.
