Why the Long Recovery From Blueblood Poisoning?

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

BuzzFlash,

It's good to see Americans getting angry, and the word "bonuses" probably did it. When Americans get fed up and angry, then they start to look deeper into US government and want all of the covers thrown off, leaving US government bare to the bones. Naked and ugly.

It took a 100% of the Republican Party in Congress backing the Bush - Cheney - Rove administration, to complete the final unhealthy blow to this country, after the transfusions we received by many of those same Republicans pushing through Reaganomics. So, many of us Americans want to think that, after being part of the demise of US government, that those same members of the Bush GOP would rally around the Obama administration in trying to bring some sort of balance back into the US economy for the American people. After all, the US government "is" the people, right?

How many times have we Americans watched the news and seen the covered bodies strewn in a crime scene caused by a hit and run driver? Sometimes they run because they fear the law and are drunk, and then there are those times where they were in a hurry, made a deadly mistake, didn't stop because they just didn't give a damn. They were more worried about the dent in their new car.

That's what we are seeing in DC today. The crime scene after 30 years of pumping bad decisions (blood) into US government. Especially after our US Supreme Court broke the law and put their own man into the White House (that was a giant clue of what was to come), it only got easier for the Bush GOP to do whatever the hell they wanted to do, without conscience or any sign of morality. Debt, death, and destruction became their M.O.

We Americans have to ask ourselves, "Why would someone run over US government, and keep running over it until it could barely move, and then try desperately not to help to recover this nation?" Even brag about it. Every news agency and shock jock spreading this vulgar un-American activity, were all riding in that same deadly vehicle, and are all equally responsible. This was no accident.

The funny part, as in the joke's on them, these Republicans include the Blue Dogs. (Oh, yes, I have always felt that they are Republicans in areas that are usually a strong hold of the Bush GOP and they will run on a Democratic ticket and claim to be "confused?" No. They claim to be "moderates, centrists," whatever the public will believe, but their votes are the big ones for the GOP, give them up.) Little votes that don't mean much, the Democrats get those, but the big votes, such as President Obama's budget, the Bush GOP will get those votes.

But, I digress. For some vague and stupid reasoning, the Bush GOP in Congress think that if they help the Democrats and Obama to fail, that we Americans will let them lead this nation again, so they can kill us off for good with their tax cuts for the wealthy, more deregulation and privatization. Americans are finally getting it. Any time someone has the power over the vote of the American people, such as a government that has been deregulated or privatized, we Americans lose, and those corporations, their lobbies, and members of US government get a big financial raise. It's held in overseas banks, goes into reelection coffers, into material goods, unbelievable waste that could feed thousands, and so far, these people still live without fear of US government now, and then, because these same Bush Republicans were in charge of US government.

The anger we see in America today is good. It means we Americans are getting the true picture of the Bush GOP and of their supporters, and who they really worked for. The greed was so vast and overwhelming that they sold this country to China. How many Americans ever thought China would own us? Taking over a country without the use of one bullet. The cost to this country by the Republicans in Congress and in the White House, along with those who supported them, cannot be measured in money alone, as these people are also responsible for the deaths and destruction of millions of lives in Afghanistan, Iraq, and New Orleans, that has led up to the destruction of the lives all around this country that we see today. But, due to the behavior we are witnessing in DC . . . they feel nothing. We need to make them feel again, and accountability will do that. Whether it be investigations, prisons, or out on the street looking for a job and healthcare, just as millions of Americans are having to do.

They don't get it yet, in DC. People don't keep people on the job (reelect) those who murder and steal. They don't deserve to work for the American people. They are tarnished, and as we examine their behavior today, as seen in their reactions to President Obama's outstretched hand for bipartisanship, when they turn their backs on him (personally, I don't want them in government after supporting the Bush GOP, call it a matter of "trust") they have proved it to us.

We've talked about President Lincoln these past months, here's another Midwesterner who was known for his biography of Lincoln, poems of Chicago and much more. I want to share this one poem from 1916 that is still true today. Carl Sandburg (1878 - 1967).

I Am the People, the Mob
I AM the people—the mob—the crowd—the mass.
Do you know that all the great work of the world is done through me?
I am the workingman, the inventor, the maker of the world’s food and clothes.
I am the audience that witnesses history. The Napoleons come from me and the Lincolns. They die. And then I send forth more Napoleons and Lincolns.
I am the seed ground. I am a prairie that will stand for much plowing. Terrible storms pass over me. I forget. The best of me is sucked out and wasted. I forget. Everything but Death comes to me and makes me work and give up what I have. And I forget.
Sometimes I growl, shake myself and spatter a few red drops for history to remember. Then—I forget.
When I, the People, learn to remember, when I, the People, use the lessons of yesterday and no longer forget who robbed me last year, who played me for a fool—then there will be no speaker in all the world say the name: “The People,” with any fleck of a sneer in his voice or any far-off smile of derision.
The mob—the crowd—the mass—will arrive then.
We Americans must never forget that a true democracy is of the people, for the people, and by the people, and those who do forget, must get FIRED, then brought before US law just as any other citizen of these United States would have to face accountability. When that happens, then government will behave because they will fear the people. They will fear being made accountable.
Thanks, BuzzFlash, and thanks to Carl Sandburg and all of the other great Americans who will keep reminding us through their own writings and deeds, that these Bush Republicans, who brought this country to its knees and are stupid enough to brag about it, are not us and never could be us, and we will not allow them to be us ever again. This time, we will not forget.

Courage

The French, I see, are doing another big-ass strike. American workers, however, prefer to kiss the asses of their corporate masters. A three-day general strike by only 25% of American workers would do wonders, but... How about 50%? Lots of cashiers, truckers, cops, firemen, teachers, utility workers out there who can bring things to a grinding halt, who can get attention paid. Yet we see willing wage slavery--people flinging themselves into terrible jobs at low pay. Well, as we know, the French are wine-sipping, cheese-eating surrender monkeys, but Merkins are brave, independent, and bold. The tree of liberty cries for its manure!!

Another

hogwash post on Buz$fla$h apologizing for Obama's failure. It makes me sick to see this fraud compared to a real statesman, Lincoln.

Why is Obusha giving trillions to Wall Street? Why is Obusha escalating the wars when he said we would end them during the campaign?

Is the stupidity of you Democratic voters endless?

And why does Buz$fla$h need $13,500 in March? How much does it cost to copy & paste headlines from real news sources?

Another Fine Post

You have done it again, Ms. Smith! No one else I read regularly ever cuts the rind off the issue to get to the meat like you do. I just hope that more people get to read you as time passes, for your cogent observations need to be heard.
