Bush GOP Political Birds of Prey and Their Pecking Order

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

BuzzFlash,

Eight years of debt, death, and destruction by the Bush GOP and this is how the Republican Party feels about solving the problems that were brought about by the Bush administration and their supporters, namely, themselves.

"So who are Republican leaders listening to?," the announcer asks before the 30-second ad cuts abruptly to footage of Limbaugh saying, "I want him [Obama] to fail."(snip) Limbaugh used his self-described "first national address," which ran more than hour longer than his allotted 20 minutes, to criticize President Barack Obama for inspiring fear in Americans in order to push a liberal agenda of "big government."

Limbaugh Delivers 'First National Address'

Of course, these last eight years are not the only years that the Bush led Republican Party has brought debt and military destruction and charged it all to the taxpayers of the US. It's been going on since Nixon. We Americans would like to think that they could take responsibility for their (cough) mistakes, and try to help out those who want to bring this country back into solvency. That's what most of the American people would think.

But, that's not what the members and leaders of the Bush GOP think today. In their own words, they can't take responsibility and they don't give a damn about solving problems, so why would any thinking American want to constantly pick up the tab by this greedy political party? How many years before we put a stop to this? Eh?

Ever since Bush number one was head of the CIA and then put into an active role in the White House, this country has been interfering in other countries' government business around the world, starting with over 800 US military bases stationed around the world, and a US budget with the largest part favoring the US military, the Iran/Contra affair, (Bush number one pardoned those who could have testified against him), and Clinton let him off the hook and stopped the investigations, even after knowing that Bush tricked Saddam into the first Gulf war, and finally, the illegal Bush number two and his administration's activities consisting of debt, highest ever in US history and sold to China, deaths of over a million innocent people, including mostly children, and the destruction of Iraq, Afghanistan, which didn't stop there. Bush's casual attitude towards the horrifying deaths allowed due to incompetence in New Orleans, and he awarded Brownie, the horse trader, who was head of FEMA, for his job well done. Well done, according to the Bush GOP's highest standards.

What do we hear from this Republican Party today, as if the American people haven't been following the Bush GOP these last eight years? The world press does still report US news, even though there were over 70 murders of journalists, alone, who were reporting in Iraq.

Where were these holier-than-thou Republican voices for the last eight years? Where were they when people were dying, being killed by US military testing out new weapons, killed by bombing their medical clinics, hospitals, or just starved to death? These citizens of Iraq had already suffered years of sanctions and daily bombings of depleted uranium for ten years before Bush invaded their country.

These boisterous voices from this Bush GOP were silent all through these last eight years of debt, death, and destruction by the Bush administration, and all of those years before. Silent, except for doing what they always do and that is to try and cover up their criminal actions using loud accusations blaming the Democrats for what they are doing at the time. So, it's no wonder that the Republicans call on one of their shock jocks to bellow out noxious noise and try to raise the attention of the masses, calling Limbaugh the new leader of the Bush GOP.

It's been reported over the years that, we, in the US, have fifty-million people without health care, which, during the Clinton administration, the Republicans Party, who ruled Congress, stopped such an idea, and today, at least one million people out of work, which also during the Clinton administration, NAFTA was born and given a GOP shower of approval. Americans have to ask themselves, what kind of American company would go to all of the trouble to ship out jobs, without making new ones, thinking this country could survive years and years of this kind of economical abuse? Only the greedy elite of this country who benefited from the Bush GOP leadership.

We have no idea how many Americans are under employed . . . these lack of ideas are not the work of the Democrats, they are the result of years and years of greed by the Bush GOP . . . so, are any of them trying to help fix this disaster? Hell, no. Instead they are doing nothing but trying to fix blame and save their ass for the next election . . . so they end up fighting within their own Party, not unlike vultures over middle-of-the-road carrion.

For those people who want to listen to these voices of destructive vulgarity and barbarity of violence that is allowed on US airwaves . . . the $94,000 question is, "What's your incentive? We know what Limbaugh's incentive is. Not the hallowed ground of the Bush GOP. Hardly. It's his contract that is said to be $400,000,000. Four hundred million dollars. How many of those zeros can any of his listeners relate to, I wonder? And, what in the hell do his sponsors make off of people in this country

All of this is going on when the US is bailing out a sick financial district of Wall Street failures, and defunct banks run by greedy bankers, while these Republicans want the homeowners, who are in trouble, to just get out and live on the street. Should any of us Americans be surprised at this cruelty after what we have seen for the last eight years of the Bush GOP? They are used to being rewarded for incompetence. That's the nature of Bush's whole lifestyle. Living off of everyone's money without working or using up any brain power. Save on that power. I think those words were really meant for electricity and global warming. Wall Street bailed out with bonuses. Bank bailouts without any accountability. That's not the American way, that's the Republican way. Why? Because it fills the Bush GOP political coffers.

Another large part of debt, now owned by China, was the Bush GOP's use of our military to muscle other countries and make money off of war. The US is not at war. The US invaded Iraq. Again, with the feelings we have about the destruction of New Orleans, and still those people are suffering . . . we can multiply that anger by the millions in Iraq, and no amount of military strong arms is going to solve that problem . . . then there is the giant Bush penis extension, called the American Embassy. What arrogance. Just think if China or Russia did this to America. Would such a structure still be standing? I doubt it. And, we are told that it was built with . . . guess what, slave labor. How Republican.

We are putting American lives at risk in that expensive Republican cathedral in the sky. Ask yourselves, Americans . . . how would you feel about the money spent for the luxuries in that compound when your homes, businesses, cities have been destroyed and you are living in poverty, without the basics most Americans take for granted, such as electricity . . . when you once lived a middle-class life.

Then there is Afghanistan and the Taliban. Bush blamed those innocent people in Afghanistan, along with Iraq, and wrongly so, for 911, and Bush was never made accountable for failing to warn the American people and the airlines of impending danger. Why? Because Bush and others in his administration were warned time and time again for three months before 911 happened.

The Taliban came from the Pashtun ethnic group at the end of 1994. The Pashtun group are said to be 40 percent of the population of Afghanistan. The Pashtuns ruled this country for over 300 years. However, the trouble began when the group of Taliban implemented extreme interpretations of the Sharia or Islamic law, such as shutting down all the schools for girls, and prohibiting any kind of entertainment, even sports and kite flying. That's how extreme they became, and the "nature of local Central Asian politics and the consequences of interference by outside powers" . . . that phrase and more was there for all to read in 2000 in a book by Ahmed Rashid, called the "Taliban." It still rings true today.

Yes, the Poppy fields were dead, but only as a result of the violent groups of Islam. Without any other way of making a living in that country, once the violent Islamic groups were pushed back, the poppy fields flourished once again. And, due to the incompetence of the Bush GOP, Afghanistan was taken over again by the violence of these individual groups and war lords.

Why is it that governments fail to see what the world sees, and that is that violence will always beget hate and violence, and a helping hand will always beget loyalty and a mile of smiles. Using money instead of military to preserve life, to better life through jobs and education . . . this is the only way countries will ever be changed from the inside out. The everyday citizens of most countries are the same, except for the politics of their leaders. They want to live out their lives with their families, earn a decent living without starving, and live a life of freedom, without the fear of violence and suppression.

Those who were responsible for 911, a small group of cave dwellers led by bin Laden, they were known in this country and our intelligence worked. Our Republican government failed. They have failed the US for over 30 years, and the last eight years of the Bush GOP administration has brought this country down to the level of a third world country, struggling to survive. How many Americans could ever have imagined that China would own our debt? This was done by a Bush Republican-led government's ideology backed by individual greed

I have said this before, if Americans want to understand how people feel in Iraq and Afghanistan and any of the other countries where the US has military bases . . . try to imagine how you would feel if any of this had been done to the US, and we saw some of this lack of intelligent leadership shone to us in New Orleans. Where Bush sent in guns and those guns were ordered to kill people who were trying to steal food from flooded stores to survive. Stores that should have had their doors opened to the public.

The Bush regime couldn't have cared less about what happened to the people in New Orleans, Iraq, Afghanistan, or to those serving in our military. A military and National Guard that has been used and abused. We have had reports for years about deaths in the National Guard due to many of our National Guard people who were in their fifties and sixties and certainly were not in the physical shape to be put into a US invasion/occupation war zone. Bush number one and Bush number two are the only residents in the White House who have used our National Guard in this way. That is not what they are trained to do . . . assist military. They are trained for emergencies here in the US and during Katrina in New Orleans, when we Americans needed them, they were being sent overseas.

Due to the Bush GOP and their lowering of the standards of military recruiting (it's been reported that hate groups have joined US military), rapes have been reported, and deaths of women serving in the military, who would rather die in their sleep from the heat in Iraq and the lack of water, than go to the latrine at night time, fearing rape. Suicides reported by victims of rape. No one believed such cover-ups. Also, under the Republicans, Bush hired private armies of assassins to kill the innocent and unarmed Iraqi citizens, without these people being under government control or US law, which didn't really matter to the Bush GOP anyway. They flaunted US law any which way they could and with the support of 100% of those same bellyaching Republicans we hear on US airwaves and TV today.

And, to this day, so far, no accountability, no act of conscience in words or deeds is heard coming from the Republican Party leaders, shock jocks, whatever. As an American, I hate what I see in this country today, when we have had a Republican run government that was responsible for a million deaths, hundreds of thousands of injuries, and the displacement of millions more people, and yet, we hear nothing of these crimes against humanity from these people. No feelings whatsoever for the crimes committed by the Bush GOP regime.

What we hear is that they do not want to help bring this country back and if they ever get into power again, we Americans can rightly assume that they will do the same things that they did to bring this country to where we are today. They show no intelligence, exchange of ideas, or remorse. We know what has caused these problems. NAFTA, privatization without any accountability, deregulation without any accountability, and military authority, without any accountability, a Republican led US government that scoffed at the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, all of which has resulted in . . . and, I can't repeat it enough, the debt, death, and destruction of this country's economy and the lives of people in this country and the lives of those around the world . . . and, so far,  again, without any accountability. I'm talking about the big boys, not the little guys, who they send out to do their errands and dirty work for them, like the crime bosses that they are. Bush never served in the military, even here at home, he went AWOL.

Who, in this country, could possibly still want to listen to these people and their anti-Democratic Party rants, which are also anti-democracy rants, all for the purpose of shutting out real news, or all important news, and what's going on in the Obama administration about the real problems facing this country today, just thirty days and look what Obama has accomplished . . . and, after knowing that these same vociferous loudmouths have supported the Bush GOP for over thirty years without fear of US law, they supported them in complete silence . . . not a word was heard.

When US law is brought back into US government, only then will these Limbaugh supporting loons and loony-tunes shut the hell up.  Do we Americans, after these last eight years, really care who is in charge of the Bush GOP today or do we just want them to go the hell away? Do what they do best, as they did all during the Bush reign, hmmm . . . silence once again.

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

a plague on both their houses.

It's all true.

But the part you left out is that the Democrats voted for all of this and now that they are in power, they are not about to prosecute the criminals.

In too many cases they are not even about to make changes.

Ralph Nader was right: One two-headed political party that doesn't represent anyone but themselves.

Read your Bible

Folks, this is just prophecy, nothing more. Read your Bible, this is all foretold there. We are in the end days, just waiting for the Antichrist to fulfill his part is this drama. I tell you now to hit your knees and pray, for our God is about to reign.

BRAOVOOOOOOOO! I couldn't

BRAOVOOOOOOOO! I couldn't have said it better!

International Interference

Wonderful article, but I must take issue with the statement: "Ever since Bush number one was head of the CIA and then put into an active role in the White House, this country has been interfering in other countries' government business around the world ..." This pernicious interfering in the affairs of other countries has been going on for a LOT longer than since pappy Bush. Take a look at a comprehensive, if staggering, list at: http://whatreallyhappened.com/usinterventionism.html

The Taliban

Just a point about the Taliban: they were brought into existence by the Pakistani Army and Intelligence Services (known as the ISI) in order to fight the Russians and, mostly, to provide a buffer on the Afghanistan borderlands from India. Yes, India. Pakistan has been obsessed by their threat from India since 1947. Today, Pakistan has established a territorial sanctuary, otherwise known as a "country", for the Taliban and Al Queda in their N.W. Tribal Territories. This means that there is a huge swath of territory between the countries of Afghanistan and Pakistan that has been given over to the Taliban and Al Queda. Note the use of the term "AL Queda". These people are now in a position to take over Pakistan. Forget Afganistan. Pakistan is the nation who is about to be overcome by Al Queta . And, guess what Pakistan has? Nuclear weapons. That's what. The Bush Administration poicy of neglect to this area. by diverting our resources to Iraq, has put EVERYONE in a position of lethal peril. My friends, think very carefully before you insist that America should just pull out of this area and leave them to their own devices: because their OWN devices are nuclear weapons. Really. Read about it, become current on the developments, research it, and become intellectually capable of context. Bush and the Republicans have put all of us in the worst possible situation and we ALL need to really comprehend the history in order to make sensible political decisions here at home.

A Few Corrections

In an otherwise powerful article, it's necessary to remember that much of the blame for US military bases around the world, and the interference of host nations' internal affairs that goes with that fact as a result, goes back to our governments seated prior to WWI. Both of our major parties have been complicit in these low-key invasions of foreign lands intended for the express purpose of artificially improving the economic opportunities for US corporations under the cover of "protecting American interests". Gen. Smedley Butler - the man who foiled the Wall Street plot to impose fascism in the US by staging a coup d'etat against FDR - even went so far as to denounce his military service as serving Wall Street gangsters. (see: War Is A Racket [PDF])

So as much as I love the well-deserved GOP-bashing, it isn't completely accurate, and does leave the door open for a "so's yer old man!" counterattack from that flaming Nazi gasbag that runs the Republican Party by running his foul mouth. That would distract the discussion away from the painful facts of international occupation by US military forces, especially the daunting economic and social costs.

Tell it, Shirley! Tell it! Rob Seattle, WA

Daily Bombings with Depleted Uranium

Shirley, Depleted Uranium is not used in any bombs and was not used between the end of the Gulf War in 1991 and the start of the action against Iraq in 2003. Your statement "These citizens of Iraq had already suffered ... daily bombings of depleted uranium for ten years before Bush invaded their country" is thus not correct. I would expect that there were not even any A-10 aircraft involved in patrolling either the Northern or Southern No Fly Zones and the A-10 aircraft is the only one that would have been capable of firing a depleted uranium kinetic energy penetrator. There were no tank battles during that time period so no 120mm DU penetrator rounds would have been fired from a tank gun either. DU is only effective in penetrating modern tank armor; it was not even particularly effective in penetrating the lighter armor of an armored personnel carrier. As a result, DU was not used to attack anti-aircraft gun or missile emplacements or radars, the types of attacks that were conducted before the war began in 2003.
