Taking the Wrong Road? Republicans Happy? Democrats Going In Wrong Direction

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

BuzzFlash,

After eight years of debt, death, and the destruction of millions of lives, talking to the Bush treasonous GOP is about the last thing I give a damn about. These Republicans can't do government, (thirty years have proved that over and over) and they will never do what's best for this country. All one has to do is just take a glance at the past eight years of thieving and slaughter.

Accountability is what these supporters of treason need, not dinner at eight, or accommodations, or thank you notes, love letters, nice conversations, or anything else. They had "eight" years to do what was right. They were killing, thieving, robbing the poor, fraud, anything that was deemed illegal by the rest of the country, crimes ordinary Americans go to jail for and the same things they were doing under the guise of working for the US government.

If a Republican is happy, then things are not straightening up and accountability is being filed in folder 13.

It's a rare sight in Washington to see the president walking the halls of the Congress, stopping to talk to reporters in the usual hallway haunts, and rarer still to see him meet with the opposition party to hear their ideas on the first big legislation of his presidency.

Obama holds GOP-only talks on stimulus package

The criminals who supported what is wrong with this country and who are responsible for it, cannot fix it.

Democrats, wise the hell up.

We Americans don't care whether or not the Bush GOP are happy. We are the ones who need to be made happy. And, happiness comes with a price ... it's called responsibility for one's actions. We Americans are waiting for payments due. And, those payments have to come from the Bush GOP. Our country is sitting on an economic time bomb and you Democrats are more worried about getting along? I think the Democrats have proven to the GOP how to get along for the last eight years, since they were allowed to do whatever the hell they wanted to without fear of accountability.

Thanks BuzzFlash,

Shirley Smith

Not only the REPUBLICANS

Not only did the REPUBLICANS do a hit job on OBAMA but the CORPORATE CONTROLED MEDIA was there for back up. I think the CCM and CHICKENHAWK TELLOW COWARD Limbaugh are on the SAME PAGE.

Wait And See

While coddling the Congressional Republicans rubs me the wrong way, it may have helped to pass the stimulus bill (such as it is) in the House. We now have to see how Obama follows up this hollow House victory, and how he deals with the continuing Senate GOP obstruction. Then if things go awry, we would have hard evidence to use in our complaints regarding his Chamberlain-ish "bipartisanship" and not just suspicions.

I thought that the stimulus

I thought that the stimulus bill was passed in the House pretty much strictly along party lines. I don't believe there was any real cooperation or compromise from the Republicans at all. Current numbers in the House are 255 Democrats and 175 Republicans. The Stimulus Bill was passed 244 to 188. So there you have it.

You're Right, CherMoe

To the Right, President Obama's attempts to reach across are just seen as "weakness" for them to exploit - b/c they're nothing more than vicious animals. I hope that the President notices this, and realizes the country WANTS him to be "decisive" - read, tough on his enemies, political as well as global.

The ONLY thing Republicans understand, as I've said, repeatedly, is a serious beatdown that ends w/a boot planted hard against their necks and a shotgun shoved into their mouths, so all they can do is cringe and whimper as they're told they'd better run, just like Wyatt Earp in TOMBSTONE did....

I was hoping for a more JuJitsu moment

With all the talk of change and Bipartisanship I was hoping that A. before the oath of office they were just saying "nice doggie" till they actually had the big stick in hand. and/or B.Looking at the complaints of the rank and file "conservatives" who are mad as hell and could be peeled off for the rest of their lives by showing them that it is Republican Leadership they should be mad about.

I see very little of either strategy but with a few very notable foreign policy leaps, and like you I see quite a bit of fawning to the GOP "leadership" that really needs to be kicked to the curb and under the bus, and eventually under the jail.

If the Gang Of Pirates think that the only good Democrat is a dead Democrat, only a fool would think it bipartisan to accommodate them.
