Regurgitating Bush ... After a Long Affliction
MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
Pain and Pleasure: The Puritan hated bear-baiting, not because it gave pain to the bear, but because it gave pleasure to the spectators. -- Thomas Babington Macaulay, History of England, 1859.
I'm not sure how the above quote fits in with the US's foreign policy, except that many Americans failed to understand the pain that the US has caused in Iraq and Afghanistan until they saw New Orleans, and also, until the fraud had been discovered, and until they saw the celebrating (pleasure) of George Bush during that time with John McCain, and of course, we can't forget the famous scene where Bush is joking around in the Oval Office looking for the WMD that were never there, that people knew were not there, and even if they were there, they were no threat to the US ... in short, there was no there, there. If this nation had true justice, Bush would have been put out of office at that time for the debt, death, and destruction of Iraq, because it was and still is no laughing matter.
Watching Bush say his good-byes and hearing that some Americans actually felt sorry for him, tells me that they never paid any attention to the real Bush. It did make it into the news. How can anyone who believes in the sanctity of life on this planet excuse what the Bush GOP regime has done for the last eight years, whether they killed by weapons of mass destruction, torture, imprisonment, or starvation of food and medical supplies? We Americans will have to live with their cruelties and wicked reputation for violence for generations to come.
This is the Bush that Americans should remember always ... excerpts taken from news items and some from my own writings. They are not in any order, except for the fact that most of them happened during or after the first four years, and were warnings of worse things to come, because we had a Republican Congress that did nothing but support all actions by the Bush GOP regime for the next four years. Many of them should feel gratitude that they are still in US government today.
Just a few snippets, out of many that would probably fill a set of encyclopedias. Just think, these are mainly after the first four years, we know we have had an election of fraud, and the Bush GOP Congress still had time to turn things around some, but they didn't. Why? They were loyal to Bush, and not to this country.
Here we go, enjoy:
Global News Matrix - Bush's Obscene Tirades Rattle White House AidesI’m not meeting with that goddamned bitch,” Bush screamed at aides who suggested he meet with Cindy Sheehan, the war-protesting mother whose son died in Iraq. “She can go to hell as far as I’m concerned!”Bush, administration aides confide, frequently explodes into tirades over those who protest the war, calling them “motherfucking traitors.” He reportedly was so upset over Veterans of Foreign Wars members who wore “bullshit protectors” over their ears during his speech to their annual convention that he told aides to “tell those VFW assholes that I’ll never speak to them again is they can’t keep their members under control.”
White House insiders say Bush is growing increasingly bitter over mounting opposition to his war in Iraq. Polls show a vast majority of Americans now believe the war was a mistake and most doubt the President’s honesty.
“Who gives a flying fuck what the polls say,” he screamed at a recent strategy meeting. “I’m the President and I’ll do whatever I goddamned please. They don’t know shit.”
Bush, whiles setting up for a photo op for signing the recent CAFTA bill, flipped an extended middle finger at the camera before going live. Aides say the President often “flips the bird” to show his displeasure and tells aides who disagree with him to “go to hell” or to “go fuck yourself.”

Then there's Bush with an added touch, information we received that Bush likes to be introduced to new people in the White House ... meet and greet, then farts in front of them without saying a word. Nice. Huh.
From my writing:
Theft of everything left at Camp Casey ... It reminds me of that movie Men in Black ... every time Bush comes out and talks to people, they seem like they have been zapped and have to learn all over again, what Bush is really about.

You'd think the above would be enough for people to understand who they were dealing with, but there's more. Below, from one of my articles:8 26 05
Today on Democracy Now, I heard Cindy Sheehan mention that they were going to build a rehab center for vets close to Bush's ranch so that he would be reminded of them for the rest of his life.I just have this to say ... it's great that they are doing that, but if they think that Bush is going to live on that ranch when it is no longer necessary to use as a publicity photo op for him, I feel they are going to be disappointed ... I suspect he will be in a city somewhere, close to a golf course and all of the other luxuries that he and his wealthy family and friends are used to enjoying in their daily lives ... the one place I don't expect him to live out his life would be on that ranch.

According to Drudge, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has recently enjoyed a little Broadway entertainment. And Page Six reports that she’s also working on her backhand with Monica Seles. So the Gulf Coast has gone all Mad Max, women are being raped in the Superdome, and Rice is enjoying a brief vacation in New York. We wish we were surprised.

FYI - FEMA denies some storm help:
The decision to deny help to individuals came following nearly a year of intense criticism of the agency. Politicians, auditors and press accounts have accused FEMA of giving money to residents who were far from the path of four storms that hit the state last year.

Taken from my writing at the time of Katrina:
First the BBC put on Bush and his speech and of course I always find his fake accent as bad as his lies about how great everything is being taken care of ... then they go to New Orleans to the places that Bush said was being rescued and the only thing Bush has really done is send in troops and organize the cops to kill looters on sight. The BBC had pictures of cops told to shoot to kill a man robbing a grocery store.
The BBC had pictures of helicopters landing and just throwing out packages to people, while the ill and the elderly were yards away and trapped without being able to fight over these packages. Like dogs. And, just exactly like something we could expect from the Bush administration. Why? Because they are a dog eat dog type of leadership and should never be allowed to rule over anyone, especially Americans.

Taken from my writings:
I just watched two young men with a video camera take their boat down to New Orleans and launched it and I saw what they saw, Canal Street, the top of the street sign Robert E Lee Blvd. as the two went looking for survivors. This was a great up close look at the flood. The young man with the camera went to college there and New Orleans was his favorite city. They did rescue a few people and then were told to leave.They were told that someone held up a rescue boat and took off with it. So the authorities asked that all rescue boats leave. Can you believe this? This is Republican rule. I have to believe this. We also heard that helicopters were being fired upon and no helicopter reported such an incident. People are dying and because of an incident that no one really knows if it happened, rescuers are told to leave.These two young men rescued two eighty year old adults who had spent these last few days in their attic. One was ill without his medicine. It was a miracle that they were still alive.I saw this on Google channel 366 Google Current on Direct TV satellite.

Except from my writings:
Before the strewn bodies of Americans in New Orleans are gathered and buried ... before the funeral and burial of Chief Justice Rehnquist, George Bush in a brash, unfeeling moment of power-filled, arrogant hubris ... makes the announcement of nominating Roberts as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court .. and why not? It's Labor Day and Roberts a clean-cut, Boy Scout looking individual, so squeaky clean that his papers have been held up by Bush for weeks ... he has the right "looks," so they say ... so did Ted Bundy, so does George Bush (to some people, maybe) ... looks should not be a qualifier for anyone who will rule over Americans for years and years to come. Good ole boy rhetoric and photo ops should not be the main qualifiers for anyone who will have power over any American.
* * *
Oh, and Bundy was a Republican (wheeze, cough). But, since then we've learned that Supreme Court Chief Justices should be made to memorize the President's oath of office long before it actually happens. And, if that is impossible, there's always the profound cheat sheets. Just a thought.

Anger at Iraq deployment:
Meanwhile Mr McDonald's US brother-in-law is outraged he is about to be shipped out to Iraq with the US Army.
"You've got all these millions of people waiting in your backyard that you can't help and they want to send you half-way around the world to play somebody else's war," Mr John Mutnansky, who has already served twice in Iraq, said.

Four years later, the nation is hobbled by debt and ill-prepared to handle disaster. Copyright 2005 Houston Chronicle
TODAY the Pentagon will hold the America Supports You Freedom Walk, ostensibly to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and to show support for members of the armed forces. Nothing could be better contrived to show the high price Americans have paid since that day of infamy.
The Freedom Walk is limited to those who register and submit to being searched. The route of the march will be fenced and lined with police officers. No one can join the march en route. No one can leave it. The press cannot walk along the route. The walk to proclaim Americans' freedom reveals how much freedom we have lost.
* * *
Everything the Bush regime did was given a title that was in actuality, the opposite of what it stood for, a sarcastic reminder of the arrogance of the Bush GOP towards the American people, actually all people. Along with this Freedom Walk, we had Shock and Awe, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, The War on Terror, The No Child Left Behind Act, Clean Air Act. These are just examples of what we Americans and the world have had to put up with and we cannot fail once more and forget, let bygones be bygones. Not when debt, death, and destruction are the results. If we feel we are worthy human beings, then all souls are also worthy human beings. We lose that and we lose our own worth, our own soul to the world.

Americans should take a good look at how others see us . . .
What would China's grade for the US be today? They gave us a D.
* * *
Of course, they own us, so China can say whatever the hell they want to about the USA. Eh? I think a "D," just as Bush's "C" in his studies, was quite superfluous.

Of course, we are all familiar with the Plame case where Bush and his brilliant staff outed a CIA agent to get even with her husband, Wilson, for telling the truth, when they wanted to gather evidence to invade Iraq, but here's a less remembered one:

August 2nd, 2005 12:03 PMLast month's bombing of the London subways brought back memories of a botched spy plot in August 2004 in which the Bush administration unaccountably outed the only double agent we ever had inside Al Qaeda.

This news about a million phone calls overseas being tapped, is troubling in my mind for more than the simple reason of the knowledge now being exposed, and could be a misdirection so that Americans don't get the idea that "millions" of phone calls have been also tapped here at home. This has been going on for years. Before and after elections . . . people with criminals intentions and no conscience have no boundaries for themselves and Bush has proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt.DIRELAND: ABC's SCOOP: "MILLIONS" OF AMERICANS' PHONE CALLS TAPPED BY N.S.A. (with video)

Today, we know how that turned out, with reports just this past week of spying, illegally, on journalists, and any political rivals Republican or Democrat could probably be added to that list. Just use your imagination knowing how this group operated. Bush couldn't care less about terrorism, but he did want to know who his enemies really were, politically, that is. Never forget the thousands of American citizens' names put on a list given to all airlines, to be used just to abuse those who Bush knew opposed him and his ilk. Lecturers and professors were also kept from entering our country, a supposed democracy. And, Bush continued to get away with this type of foul behavior, even after it was reported, as the monarch in charge of the Oval Office in the White House, Bush never tried to apologize or to change.

Two Governors
We now know that Blanco did everything she needed to and more to get federal government help (which commander codpiece could've and should've provided even without prompting). And, we also now know that Bush was very concerned about the plight of Haley "Possibly the Worst Man in America" Barbour, and not so concerned about Louisiana. At some point deliberate negligence is indistinguishable from malice.
- She says that two days after Katrina, desperate for help, she couldn't get through to Bush and didn't get a callback; hours later, she tried again, and they talked....
Barbour hasn't had to wait hours to talk to Bush. In fact, Barbour said in an interview with USA TODAY, the president called him three to four times in the wake of Katrina. "I never called him. He always called me," he said.

Hospital Halts Organ Program
St. Vincent Medical Center, one of the largest organ transplantation centers in the state, has suspended its liver program after discovering that its doctors improperly arranged for a transplant to a Saudi national using an organ that should have gone to a much higher priority patient at another hospital, officials said.
Hospital staff members then falsified documents several times to cover up the alleged maneuver, pretending that the transplant was for a patient who was near the top of the regional waiting list, hospital President and Chief Executive Gus Valdespino confirmed Monday. The transplant took place in September 2003 and was paid for by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia. But Valdespino said the problem was discovered only this month when officials were responding to routine questions from auditors at the United Network for Organ Sharing, the nonprofit group that administers the national transplant system.
The patient who received the successful transplant was actually 52nd on the list, which covers much of Southern California and takes into account such factors as who is sickest and who has been waiting longest. (snip)
Transplant directors and ethicists from across the country say what is alleged to have happened at St. Vincent is a sin in organ transplantation, which is heavily regulated by a procurement network, as well as state and federal officials, to maintain integrity and fairness in the process.

Today, over 4,000 American troops are dead. Those US troops alive and/or wounded have had much trouble getting good medical care and benefits. Many vets are said to roam our streets homeless. Great way to appreciate our troops who have been used and abused by a criminal regime. Many suicides have occurred due to the lack of proper medical care for post traumatic stress.
Hundreds of thousands of lives lost in Afghanistan and Iraq, New Orleans and those poor people who suffer, their lives are still in disarray, along with millions of innocent people who have lost their homes and their livelihood, living in slums outside of Iraq. As I've said time and time again, due to the secrecy of the Bush GOP administration, this country has not scratched the surface of what they have done, nor do we have any idea of the hate that the Bush GOP has given birth to, because of their loose and greedy ways.
We hear about the Republicans in Congress standing up against the few changes that Obama has begun, while hitting the Oval Office on a dead run, as if this country didn't need these changes, and as if they (Bush GOP) had no idea that we Americans are fed up with the leadership that has completely disregarded the limits of their power, of decency, and of morality, which is what a democracy is all about. What Liberals and Progressives are all about.
Time to undress and reveal the GOP propaganda that has entrenched our MSM and TV for the last thirty years, and especially these last eight years of the Bush GOP regime. They may dress 5th Ave, but, look more closely, they have dirty underwear. I want to be wrong, but we probably can expect the same that we saw during the Clinton years, because they answer to a higher calling. The lucrative coffers of the Bush GOP. Below, something also to remember that was out in the news in 2005. Did anyone pay attention? Did the MSM and TV pay attention? No. It wasn't worth their time.
The scandal sheet
Print it out, send it to Harry Reid, or just read it and weep. Here are 34 scandals from the first four years of George W. Bush's presidency -- every one of them worse than Whitewater.- - - - - - - - - - - -
By Peter DizikesJan. 18, 2005 | Once upon a time -- about five years ago -- conservative pundits often talked about "scandal fatigue." Remember scandal fatigue? It was an affliction supposedly either turning voters against Democrats or, alternatively, a weariness in the body politic preventing Republicans from pursuing even more grievances against Bill Clinton. By any objective measure, however, after four years of George W. Bush's presidency, the entire nation should be suffering from utter scandal exhaustion.
* * *
But, the people wanted more, and who are those Americans who still voted Republican in the last election for gawdsake? Obama need not expect anything from these sheaths of the Republican Party, people who have enjoyed the lucrative dark side of the Bush GOP administration's idea of how to do or undo US government. They've been at it for years and years. They are not going to change. They have failed to see the light. We Americans want drastic change. We want our Constitution and Bill of Rights followed, as well as US law, especially by those in US government. And, we will not let up until we see real change. It's the American people who are going to bring about the change. It will take a few more years, because the Bush Republicans in government are slow learners.
Accountability comes attached with a very bright light. Below, as always the Republicans want to rewrite history, but we Americans and the world have had enough, too many lives have been ruined due to the arrogance and slipshod leadership by the Bush GOP administration and their supporters.

Nature has placed man under the governance of two sovereign masters, pain and pleasure. -- Jeremy Brentham, Principles of Morals and Legislations, 1789.
Would it be too trite to say that there's been much pain throughout the world, all for the sheer pleasure of the Bush GOP's reign? Truth is not trite. May Bush be remembered for who he really was, as someone who was given the highest office of the US by a politically motivated Supreme Court who broke the law themselves when doing so, and may Bush go down through history along with his most famous quotes just like all of our other presidents and how they are remembered today. My vote would be for this famous quote: "The Constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper."
Has this nation, after thirty years of rule, and especially after these last eight years of debt, death, and destruction ... have we learned our lessons and have we learned what our responsibilities are to the people around the world when we have leaders who step out of their roles? Let's never forget. More important ... we must not let those in US government forget. Their past as well as their future belong to us.
