The Lure of Carnivorous Plants Found in the Nature of Bush GOP Politics

BuzzFlash,
"Without feelings of respect, what is there to distinguish men from beasts." -- Confucius, Analects, sixth century B.C.E.
Mother nature is not the only one that uses decoys to get the food and nourishment needed to stay alive . . . so does the Bush Republican Party. After all, if a Bush Republican doesn't get elected, there goes those large tax cuts for the wealthy, and there goes the donations that find their way back into the Bush GOP. All food for the continued growth and nourishment of the Bush GOP.
We should be hearing about how these two Bush GOP candidates plan to turn this country around after we have had eight years of debt, death, and destruction, but instead, we get Bush GOP decoys . . . such as the one in the paper today, when Bush announces that the government will take part ownership of banks. This was turned down two weeks ago when the Democrats thought of it first.
No wonder Americans become puzzled. It is confusing to listen to McCain and Palin and the violence that seems to be escalating within the crowds they are speaking to, and yet, we don't hear a word out of them, and we don't see any cops dressed in riot gear, when we've seen them constantly during peaceful demonstrations for "Peace." Arrests of protesters, journalists, and even the homes of some of the protesters were searched without probable cause before the protest. All of these actions were taken against people who wanted "Peace." Wanted to stop the continuing deaths of innocent people due to an illegal invasion/occupation by this criminal Bush GOP regime, that so far has been able to get away without accountability. Peace vs violence. Citizens want peace and are treated with violence from a violent prone Bush Republican government.
Maybe the confusion comes from the words, "Symbolic Speech," found in an article written in "Macmillan's Compendium on the US Supreme Court." As many of us Americans are just layman when it comes to our laws of the land, we would have to be completely out of this world, not to wonder about what's been going on without any accountability for eight years, and now we are again, hearing threats of violence from the crowds of the two Bush GOP candidates, yet nothing is being done about it . . .
"Symbolic Speech." "Does communication by conduct rather than by words constitute "speech" within the First Amendment's guarantee of freedom of speech." And, they go on to say that the burning of the flag as a figure of speech was not against the law, however, we know that the Bush Republican Congress and some supporters voted for this to be against the law as another decoy to put the eyes of us Americans on that symbol and take it off other symbols during this upcoming election, such as the symbols of flag-draped coffins coming from overseas.
ACORN, a group that has done a great job in getting people registered to vote. We have millions in this country who have been so fed up with US government during these past 30 years, that they quit voting. And, it's almost laughable, if it weren't so serious, that the Bush GOP, under Mr. Karl Rove, is trying to convince (another decoy) Americans into thinking that these immigrants who come into this country, not even speaking the language, give a damn about voting in this country and risk being put out, or arrested.
Every election year, we can count on election fraud, not voter fraud, "ELECTION FRAUD." Something that was investigated many times and we never hear the Bush GOP go after the fraudulent computers that were found to either miss-count votes or switch votes, people's names taken wrongfully off the rolls until "after" the election by Republican Secretary of States, (it worked in Florida in 2000, no one was punished), absentee ballots not being counted, people who have lost their homes, threatened to lose their votes, and so it goes . . . this type of fraud destroys hundreds of thousands of votes . . . the Bush GOP never, ever tried to stop this type of fraud, (it would cost them elections), they came up with the decoy of 'voter fraud' instead. And, they always get media coverage, which the real fraud, election fraud, is ignored.
But elections administrators said this week that there's no proof that county officials are registering a significant number of noncitizens to vote.
"I don't think we are, and I have no evidence that we have people overregistered to vote," said Dallas County Elections Administrator Bruce Sherbet.
To quote from this article on Symbolic Speech, "Indeed, in one sense all speech is symbolic." Well, shouldn't this make sense, since symbols and body language came will before actual speech? The case where high school students wore black armbands, silently protesting against the war in Vietnam, was considered free speech. And, this protest by these great kids was against the violence of US government. However, they didn't protect Americans from the burning of the draft cards. But, things have changed, haven't they? Yes, depending on the government, so it seems, because during the Bush GOP regime, people have been arrested for nonviolent protests, wearing tee shirts with the word "Peace," kept out of a Bush rally because of a Democratic Party bumper sticker, and even when a gentleman was trying to talk to Cheney in the street, he was arrested . . . many other incidents of nonviolent protests and arrests due to the Bush GOP's invasion into Iraq have been happening during these past eight years.
What is disturbing is the fact that, these people were all trying to save lives, and stop the violence of this Bush Republican administration . . . and, yet, we have the so-called "shock jocks," who talk violence every day and are highly paid to do it, they seem to be able to keep their sponsors, and they are Republicans. Writers, even preachers, calling for actions of violence, were given a pass because they supported the Bush GOP regime. Violence is in as long as the Bush GOP is in, and Peace and Prosperity is out . . . for the rest of the country, that is.
When we take a look at the crowds that McCain and Palin have talked to, and the crowds are getting louder, more prone to violence, however, McCain and Palin don't seem to mind, as they say nothing . . . or are they just decoys? It doesn't matter, we have some very dangerous people who live on the fringe of society, and the lack of McCain or Palin to show disdain for such violent outbreaks, is a giant clue to their type of leadership . . . the same leadership we Americans have had for the last eight years.
McCain with his own personal scandal was one of five that Charles Keating, who owned Lincoln Savings and Loan, gave over a million dollars to and these five Senators "actively lobbied against Lincoln's closure in 1987 when the losses might have been more easily contained. The Senate Ethics Committee later investigated their role in this scandal. In 1989, Lincoln was already $948 million in the red." (snip) "Finally, in April 1999, in a deal with prosecutors, Keating pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud. Although this settled the government's case against Keating, the taxpayers will be paying for Keating's follies for several decades."The New Encyclopedia of American Scandal. George Childs Kohn. 2001,1989.
Palin, who, in her own words, hasn't taken an interest in the US invasion into Iraq, or the debt, deaths, and destruction, doesn't read newspapers, but has been arrogantly accusing Obama of knowing someone who had a past 40 years ago or more using violence to protest against the violence in Vietnam, when Obama was six years old, yet, no one asks Palin about her and her husbands membership in an organization "The Alaska Independence Party," which was started in 1970 by a Joe Vogler: "The problem with you John Birchers' is that you are too damn liberal!"~ Joseph Vogler, Founder Alaskan Independence Party Mr. Vogler, in his own words, hated this country, and wanted Alaska to secede from the United States, and become their own country, and keep the oil, of course . . . however, they would miss all of those government earmarks.
Bush, with a military AWOL, and ends up as Commander in Chief, which is also appalling when we think of our military and National Guard being pushed into an illegal and treasonous invasion into Iraq built upon lies (many of us Americans didn't swallow those lies) . . . and, Senator McCain, regardless of what he says, he is known to have voted with Bush 90% of the time, has an uncontrollable temper, and has demonstrated this on various occasions in public . . . just what we need in front of that infamous "red phone," is someone with a hot temper to match it.
"We judge ourselves by what we feel capable of doing, while others judge us by what we have already done." -- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow 1807-1882"
We Americans must judge this Bush GOP, the Republican Party of today, by what they have done during these last thirty years. And, we must judge their candidates, McCain and Palin, in the same way. Not only their greedy past, but their obvious disrespect for Senator Obama, referring to him as "that one," failing to even recognize him as another fellow Senator, or fellow American, and this type of leadership displays a disrespect for our democratic form of government as well. Their silence condones the violence.
The only way we Americans can bring about change for the generations to come, and free ourselves from this greed-infested, murderous past is to keep the Bush GOP and their supporters out of US government. The people elected Nixon to stop the Vietnam war and he didn't. 50,000 Americans died, 400,000 South Vietnamese, and 1 million Viet Cong and North Vietnamese. We didn't win, after all of the debt, death, and destruction.
These same people, who are still representing the Republican Party today, lied this country into an invasion/occupation of Iraq, and because of that lie, one million Iraqis are dead, three to four million are displaced and almost 5,000 Americans have died. Members of our National Guard have died in their sleep in Iraq, they were not in the physical shape to even be over there. People in their forties, fifties, and sixties, who work out one weekend a month to prepare for our own national emergencies.
We must put an end to the violence of our own government. A Republican government that is willing to do anything to accomplish their personal agenda. It has had nothing to do with fighting terrorism, or 911, and everything to do with war for profit and unscrupulous greed. Ironically, because of that greed, they have ruined the government of Afghanistan, Iraq, and now their carnivorous gluttony has gobbled up our resources here in the US, our own home, and our planet will be next. How many bailouts, how many wars, and how many lives have to be destroyed before we Americans stand up, use our vote, and say enough. Get these Bush GOP criminals and their supporters out! Yes, we Americans can regulate, trim, and cut these violent tendencies out of our government . . . with our vote against them.
"Morality cannot be legislated but behavior can be regulated. Judicial decrees may not change the heart, but they can restrain the heartless." Martin Luther King, Jr. (d. 1968), Strength to Love.
Vote Democratic . . . show your love.
