Jockeying for the Highest Paid Job of Jobbery in the US -- Too Easy? You Bet!
MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON
BuzzFlash,
The quest for the infamous US Oval Office (due to the Bush GOP) is a "job," not a throne that can be bought. However, it does sorta, kinda seem as if the Bush GOP think they should have that job forever regardless of the poor handling (criminal) of US government that has been going on by these same people for the last 30 years. Now, as we Americans slip into the belly of the bankrupted GOP beast and begin doing without . . . these Wall Street Republican fat cats want to be bailed out. And, that such a job as President should be given to Republicans again, the very people who have done everything from deregulation to privatization to kill US government, without any hard-lined interviews, resumes, past duties, even debates (remember Bush's photo of his back rigged with some device?) . . . the candidate for this job even takes an oath of office, which Bush took very lightly.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." -- U.S. Capitol Historical Society.
"Among the professions of the men who have risen to our nation's highest public office, 27 were lawyers, 6 were soldiers, 6 were farmers, 3 were teachers, 3 were businessmen, 1 was a tailor, 1 was an editor, 1 was an author, and 1 was an actor." -- Bright of America
This is a modern society, or at least it was, and we need professionals in government. Smart, intelligent, progressive, and listeners as well. Those who will mull over what their advisers have to say, something Bush and Cheney never did do. Why? Because, the most important fact concerning this particular job is that it is the most costly job in US government for US citizens. (Too much power in the Oval Officer.) Under the Bush GOP, that job was given to Bush, "twice," and has cost American families countless legislation just by the mark of his pen. It has cost the lives of members of their families. It cost these lives due to lies and destroyed millions of lives in Iraq, Afghanistan, and New Orleans.
We Americans can't give those lives and those livelihoods back. People are still dying daily in Bush's invasion/occupations and in this country all because of violence. We can't give millions of children their childhood back, their health back. And, after all of that, we are left with a bankrupted government in the US. We have millions of adults and children without any healthcare in this country. Thousands go hungry every week in this country, and our so-called welfare is just a few cents for a meal that a scavenger dog couldn't live on and stay healthy.
What is it with some people in this country who show such disdain for the poor and the hungry? I think of the Reagan years and the lies regarding our poor and hungry people, instead of taking responsibility and doing something to raise the wealth of all those in this country. That is a successful government. But, it's not a Republican government.
This government has always cut the programs for the poor and now want to bail out, free of charge, the wealthy who will never feel the pangs of hunger or want for material goods and services. That's who I have a disdain for. The shortsighted, selfish privileged in this country, who have made their money off of poor and middle-class US citizens through US government's deregulations, who have made millions off of the fraud in Iraq without any government oversight, who are making billions off of US citizens who have lost jobs because they couldn't afford the gas to get to work, and all the while, still, there are American citizens who believe that it's just the market.
Poppycock, it's due to a Bush GOP government. These oily companies control the markets, That is why they wanted to take over Iraq. With Saddam, our oil cost US $20 a barrel, and anyone who thinks these oily Bush GOP companies aren't happy about the oil prices, and think that they don't fill the Republican coffers ... think again, and if any of you fellow Americans like the poor life, thank the Bush Republican Party and McCain because China owns us today.
Think about that and while at it, think about what the Bush GOP did for those Americans who lost everything and had to claim bankruptcy. Did they let them out of that debt? Hell no! Think about those citizens who just lost their homes. Did they get bailed out, get to keep their homes? Hell no. The people in New Orleans still don't have their homes back, their lives back. The Bush GOP wouldn't even let those people back into their apartments that weren't damaged! Yet, we Americans are to pay for Wall Street's bungling billionaires, even if it was done on purpose. No one should be allowed to make so much as a buck off of these crimes, that includes their bonuses.
Bush should have been fired and prosecuted after it was known that he was warned months before 911 and did nothing to protect this country. Bush should have been fired and prosecuted after it was found out that he outed a CIA agent for spite, lied this country into a war, and attacked and killed 5,000 people in Afghanistan, who had nothing to do with bin Laden, whom he allowed to escape, just to satisfy those in this country who wanted revenge, and Bush is good at that. He has the highest grade for executions in this country ... but, what was his resume about? Eh? Bankruptcy, failed, but bailed out, businesses, AWOL from service, yadda, yadda, yadda, and our Supreme Court broke US law and put him into the White House, even though they knew he was not fit for that office. Another crime. So, why should we be surprised at this criminal record of this treasonous administration? We should be surprised, instead, that there's been no accountability.
Why should we look back today? Our country has been bankrupted, probably on purpose, by this Bush Republican Party, who have, for years, in their own words, wanted to do away with US government. Such poor, poor leadership and beliefs, while never missing a vacation or a meal.
Today, McCain has paid the highest compliment to Bush when he has gone out of his way to emulate Bush. He forgets stuff, doesn't know too much about government, economy, loves war, has a hot temper, which he admits, and when he chose a candidate to be his VP mate, she's no Cheney, but from what we've seen of her past, she could learn to be one, that should say it all. Looking good should not be at the top of the list for the top job in this country. This country has become a "light weight" and "laughing stock" around the world because of the current Republican Party. Not only that, they (the world) don't trust us anymore, they don't like us anymore, and many countries are thinking about arming themselves because of what these Bush Republicans have done while in office.
The Bush Republican Party is responsible for much of what has happened to this country during the past 30 years and they don't want to stop. They are not sorry. They will only be regretful if they are made accountable. McCain represents that Party.
The job for the Oval Office should require intense evaluation, intense interviews (It's a very intense job, duh.) ... many Americans looking at these soft interviews on TV, probably have seen tougher ones and more scrutiny for those wonderful $5.00 an hour jobs that many Americans have today, some hold down two and three, because this country has given incentives for US companies to go overseas.
How many Americans think that these Bush Republicans really care? They want to bail out Wall Street, and put the rest of the Americans out on the street. It has to stop. McCain thinks he can get this job by doing nothing, by keeping secret his own medical history, and by talking in circles. One day he's for something, the next time, he's against it. How many people think turning down job interviews (debates) will get you the job you want?
It's YEARS and YEARS past the time to make US government officials accountable for their behavior and their actions on the job ... they are EMPLOYEES, and how many fellow Americans think they could get away with what our US government officials try to get away with and do get away with, and still have a job? Only if your daddy owns the business. Right? How can these people feel the same pain most Americans have been feeling due to NAFTA, bogus US dollar, and the high cost of daily living ... we pay for everything these people do. They get everything given to them, plus they make most of their money through opportunities from corporations paying for legislation and favoritism.
We Americans 'OWN' the business, and yet, we get nothing, and we need to start acting like owners, instead of observers. That too, is a responsibility of every American. Now, most of us Americans believe in a two-party system that has checks and balances, but when that system has been broken, smashed, or compromised, and this country has gone broke because of it ... how many of us in our right mind would want those same people handling government again? How many Americans think McCain is not one of the Bush boys?
How many fellow Americans are sick and tired of the lies, the fraud, and the shenanigans to keep power, to win elections .. . and then do whatever pleases them without any concern for US law, Bill of Rights, American lives or livelihoods, and without any fear of consequences.
These Bush Republicans cannot or will not take care of US government ... we've had thirty years of this (Republicans ruled even during the Clinton administration and for the past eight years). Maybe they don't want to seem too vain because they just don't want to take the credit for all of those years. Bush is probably going to be celebrated as a hero by these anti-government people, because he is the one that finally broke the bank and this country's back. Congrats, radical racketeer rats. We Americans are left holding the empty bag. And, McCain wants to stop campaigning, like this was a job for the head of the student council for pages training in DC. Oh, that's right, some of his people are involved in this, another Republican scandal ... aren't they?
Is that all McCain thinks this job is about, carrying on where this criminal Bush GOP left off, that he or his VP mate shouldn't have to debate and answer questions about government, his ideas, his past in US government, medical condition, her ideas, her past experience, knowledge about this country and government, etc., after everything this Bush GOP has done to us Americans and people around the world?
McCain supported Bush 90% of the time, and probably wishes he could count on the Supreme Court to try and step in again, or that election fraud should become rampant again ... because he's got a whole hellava lot of "explaining" to do if he wants this job ... and, instead, he canceled his debate, his job interview.

Shirley Smith
