The Difference Between Facts and Flummery

MS. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON

BuzzFlash,

I was so proud of Obama last night because he didn't hug the middle of the road, he chose to drive his message right down the straight-away ... there can be no mistake about what Obama intends to do for this country. Anyone who could raise the hopes and wipe away the tears and fears has to be a champion in this cruel game of politics. Anyone, including Obama's charming, intelligent, and sincere wife, Michelle, are champions because they want to step up and clean up eight years of Bush GOP folly. That's going to be a job of massive proportion, and we all have to help.

Politics may be called a game, but the results that come from them are not games. After thirty years of going backwards until these last eight years of the Bush GOP, which was as destructive as any earthquake or mudslide on our democracy, the Bush GOP's total disregard or show of any feelings about their schemes and the results having caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands, maybe up to a million innocent people, the dislocation of millions more, selling our highest debt ever to China, and the destruction of our military, lost lives in Afghanistan, Iraq, and New Orleans ... no, these are not games, they are facts, and these facts came about because of lies and Bush GOP flummery. Lies told by many people who should have been loyal to this country instead of a few Bush Republicans.

The worst part is that these past eight years have not been anywhere close to a representation of this country or of who we Americans really are. We are not a country of liars, killers, of thieves, bandits. Facts. Nearly all Americans could, if they tried, identify with most all of our fellow human beings on this planet regardless of the language barriers, because who doesn't want life, liberty, and the ability to pursue their dreams for themselves and their children, and their children's children. If questioned, who, in their right mind would say that wanted more debt, death, and destruction of innocent lives around the world, including here in the US? Who in their right mind would say that they want to live in fear and paranoia, which is nothing more than Bush GOP and now Senator McCain's arrogant flummery?

The threat is serious enough that White House officials are also debating whether President Bush should cancel his scheduled convention appearance on Monday, the first day of the convention, according to administration officials and others familiar with the discussion.

GOP Considers Delaying Convention - washingtonpost.com

Oh, these Republicans could be a theater of laughter, if they weren't so dangerously destructive.   Today, McCain and others of the Bush GOP are wondering if Bush should cancel his appearance at the GOP convention in St. Paul because of the tropical storm Gustav. Not to worry, ask those in New Orleans and those of us who watched daily after Katrina, knowing that Bush took at least a week or more before he had his agency FEMA even look in on the people of New Orleans, and we had to weep for the bodies of the victims of that storm for well over a week and more as they were lying all around that city, and Bush was nowhere to be found. A total nightmare come to life because of a weak and incompetent Bush Republican administration.

Today, Bush might need an update, the people are still waiting for the goods and services that were donated to them after Katrina hit them. Many are still living in small, formaldehyde-lined containers, fifty miles away from their home town in fields, their homes are still in ruins, fraud rampant, and if they (Bush GOP) don't remember when it hit, there is a movie and plenty of camera film available that tells all about this total Bush GOP government disaster. How many of us Americans think the people of New Orleans will miss Bush and all of this GOP flummery regarding Gustav? Fact.

There is one thing that Bush does very well besides taking vacations. It is to see that he is well protected from anything ugly, such as all of the debt, death, and destruction he has created in just eight years in DC ... so the only thing that this Bush GOP has to offer is their guy McCain, and McCain is naive enough or wants the power enough to state publicly that he intends to follow in Bush's footsteps all of the way and continue four more years of what we have had for eight deadly years. Facts.

Even McCain's VP is a strange choice for a party that has been known to be totally against the rights of women. Flummery?

In a perfect world, after hearing such a great speech from Obama, Is it too much to ask ... if we Americans want one more thing after he's elected ... and the facts will bring that about ... justice for those who have had their lives ruined in one way or another and accountability for those who have committed these crimes? Along with that, checks and balances brought back into all three branches of US government in order to secure the future of this nation so that it cannot backslide under another criminal, fraudulent, and greedy regime. We need US law and order brought back into all three branches of government, including the Supreme Court, where people who don't do their jobs are cast out, and we don't have to wait years and years for corrections. The lack of that has cost more lives than we may never know.
