But making our nation better shouldn't always be hard work; sometimes we need to celebrate and offer our thanks to all of you who work to ensure the promise of our democracy.

BuzzFlash is unique among progressive news sites, in that we don't have any corporate ads. Unlike other sites who may claim to be against big oil while accepting millions in Exxon ad dollars, BuzzFlash gets its money in two ways:

1. The generosity of our donors.
2. Selling progressive goods whose creators are doing something to help our politics, lifestyles, or our planet –- and offering items to improve the future of our environment, health, and alternative economy. They are available at http://www.BuzzFlash.com/store/.

You can win one of those items and help us expand our BuzzFlash Twitter community. Here's how:

Step 1 - Join Twitter (if you haven't already) and follow @BuzzFlash.

Step 2 - Visit the BuzzFlash Progressive Marketplace and find the item you would like the most. (For the purposes of this contest, choose a premium under $35.)

Step 3 - Tweet the item using the Tweet box at the top of the right column on Monday at 3pm EST. Make sure to include a link to the premium.

The 5th person to tweet a product from the marketplace will win the item that they tweeted. We'll announce the winner on Twitter so check our page and check your @replies, because it could be you.
