Basketball Isn't Everything: It's the only thing

Any American boy can be a basketball star when he grows up

When it's played the way it's supposed to be played, basketball happens in the air; flying, floating, elevated above the floor, levitating the way oppressed peoples of this earth imagine themselves in their dreams.

The idea is not to block every shot. The idea is to make your opponent believe that you might block every shot.

Basketball is like war in that offensive weapons are developed first, and it always takes a while for the defense to catch up.

Giving "Magic" the basketball is like giving America an army, Jesse James a gang, or Genghis Khan a horse.

Obama played the game with such skill and grace that none were left to guard him at the end for the easy score. His opponents were either panting on the bench, out shopping for clothes, or had taken their ball and gone home. GAME OVER!

That's one small bounce for a candidate, one giant leap for America.

Obama, never breaking his rhythm or a sweat played his game smoothly, like silk and won with ease. Even the refs were rooting against him, but had to concede to the Man of the people.
