Subject: Health Reform
It would seem we have the same level of deceit among our Democrats as we had with our Republicans under Bush. After raving assurances from Nancy Pelosi about how the house bill would not be passed without a public option -- her so-called heroic public option was not worth putting on paper, and it propped up the insurance industy just as much as any republican measure would. Our Dems are still weaklings, and they are just as unsupportive of Americans as are the republicans.

Subject: Southern manners
I am a Southern boy. I was raised by my parents to have manners. You open doors for ladies, you tip your hat, and you don't interrupt other people when they are talking.
So it was with great interest I watched the video starring I OBJECT by Georgia Republican Representative Tom Price.
Where the hell was he raised in the South? Behind the barn or in a stock pen?

Subject: What's An All Out Class War Look Like
Like here in the good old US of A, what with its 17.5% unemployed/ undermployed, its 1 million foreclosures this past year only, its less & less affordable (except for the very rich) college tuitions, its legions of homeless, its 45,000 people (including 17,000 children) who die annually from want of health insurance, its more than 2 million mostly poor, brown & black men & women incarcerated in prisons, its inner city & rural men & women who, out of desperation, sign up with the military and end up on foreign soil, fighting and dying in wars which benefit only the rich & powerful."
"Anything else?"
"Wherever the class war rages, governments are of, and by the rich & powerful."
"The answer being?"
"Turnabout."
"Based on?"
"History.'

Subject: Here In America Progress Is Either Nonexistent Or Too Slow To Change The World
"Based on?"
"This insurance company enrichment bill that the House just passed, the unwillingness of our government to harness banking & finance, the totally ineffective legislation to combat climate change that Congress may or may not approve, and then there's this imminent expansion of the Afghanistan War."
"Why does the world have to be changed?"
"Perpetual war + global warming + economic collapse = doomsday, not to mention time's running out."
"The answer being?"
"Turnabout."
"Anything else?"
"There is no alternative."
