"Yet oh how they cheered Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping when he said 'Doesn't matter whether the cat is black or white so long as it catches the mouse.'"
"Apparently Republicans/Blue Dogs consider open-mindedness to be good for China but bad for for America."
"Based on?"
"Their refusal to even consider a single payer system such as Medicare for all, even though it provides more health care per premium dollar than profit insurance companies do."
"Which translates into longer and healthier lives for the American people."

"That the success of Medicare for all will turn the one about government being the problem not the solution into when it comes to health care, insurance companies are the problem, government the solution."
"And since that's true for health care, why not for banking, industries such as fossil fuel & mineral extraction, capitalism itself?"

"History repeating itself as tragedy or farce*?"
"Both."
"Based on?"
"Every war's a tragedy but the story of a one & only superpower sicing its military drones upon scattered bands of semi-nomadic freedom-fighters could be turned into a Monty Python movie."
"Said movie's ending?"
"With freedom-fighters closing in on Kabul, as he boards a helicopter taking off from the roof of the U.S. Embassy, these parting words from General Stanley McChrystal, "Hey, haven't we been through this before?"
