Subject: A new America....

I am simply appalled at Joe Lieberman's stance on health reform. The man is simply a corporate sponsored weasel with no morals. Why is this so? It's the political system which legalizes bribery and corruption. This country that constantly waves the flag, spouts off on Democracy and, in general, says how bloody good it is, is a dismal failure when it comes to running its self. The system is rife with greed and corruption. It can be made better. We must have public financing for national elections. A parliamentary system. Term limits. Multi political parties. This is just for starters!

I am awaiting, breathlessly, for the completion of the so called debate on public health. It is perfectly obvious to anyone who has experienced a truly national program that we need a single payor plan along with a private insurance opportunity! Not the other way round. It is just disgusting to read of people like Lieberman and others and their spouses intimately involved with corporations (the sweet breath of fascism) ignoring the populace and its wishes.

We need a new America which fulfills the promise of its beginnings. A truly democratic country regardless of wealth, color and creed. And we need it NOW!

I can't wait to see the final watered down, accomplish nothing, health insurance give away that will go into effect in three or four years. This should be a wake up call for all Americans to "Throw The Bums Out." I'm so disgusted with our political process and our system of governmen. Progressives... get your act together. Sanders/Kucinich in 2012.

Subject: why is Obama not getting rid of Bush's assault on our rights?

These days, Obama has ramped up the assassination of political opponents of the U.S. and the U.S.-aligned authoritarian regime in Pakistan, deploying more Predator drone plane attacks than Bush. But that's just for now. Obama could still personally order a government agency to murder you.

Which is weird. But not nearly as weird as the fact that you probably don't care enough to do something about it

Subject: Will Our President's Having Been A Witness To The Arrrival Of 18 Martyrs (Each In A Casket) Affect The Course Of The War?

"Depends on whether President Obama meant it when he said that the sight of 18 flag-covered caskets holding the remains of Aericans killed this week in Afghanistan can't help but influence his thinking about sending more troops overseas."

"If he meant it?"

"He'll call for an immediate ceasefire en route to peace negotiations with the Taliban?"

"But if the war ends without our defeating the Taliban, won't our soldiers have died in vain?"

"They'll have died that there be no war no more, nowhere, never, not even one."
