Subject: impeachment

Illinois is a role model for our nation. Their governor was "outed" for suspicion of bribery and is impeached within a very short time. Bush and cronies have been out-and-out commiting, and even admitting to crimes resulting in the death of thousands. Congress needs to get off its collective butt and deal with these crooks!

Subject: Election 2008

For a lifelong liberal like me, TPM's detailed, post-election map is a wondrous sight to behold. Obama actually defeated McCain in several major, "red state" cities! He may have lost Texas, but he won a majority of votes in Houston, Dallas, El Paso, Galveston, San Antonio and Austin. "GOP John" was awarded Missouri by a margin of 3982 ballots (of almost 3 million cast) but Obama easily carried the real heart and soul of the "Show Me" state - Kansas City and St. Louis. Even Deep South Georgia's largest population centers (Atlanta, Savannah and Augusta) produced precinct results favoring Obama/Biden over McCain/ Palin.

I almost feel sorry for those shell-shocked cranks on Fox. Even now, November 4, 2008 is a phenomenon they cannot accept or explain. Who would have thought the only big towns in North and South Dakota (Fargo, Grand Forks, Sioux Falls and Aberdeen) would turn blue for an African-American Democrat with an exotic name? Who knew so many true mavericks live in places like Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls and Missoula, Montana and 51% of them would choose an appealing and intelligient candidate instead of a cranky and tiresome political hack?

I'm not naive enough to predict the America's staunchly conservative rural folks will change their opinion of "city slickers" from Chicago with "high-falutin'" ideas, but they are, by nature, pragmatic people. If President Obama can implement even a few successful plans to help revitalize our country's stagnant economy, I feel certain that decades will pass before a Republican - any Republican - occupies the White House again.

Subject: Community Service in Action

Hello! Thought you might like to hear about our service project. We are a group of folks in the Philadelphia area, Montgomery County mostly, who were volunteers in the Obama campaign. We recently answered the call to get back together and brainstorm a community service project to complete by Jan 20th to commemorate the historic inauguration of Barack Obama. Politico and Wonkette have picked up on it so far. Here's our project's site:

Subject: Sarah the Delusional

OMG! Jaw dropping interviews of Sarah "the Delusional" Palin regarding how she was portrayed by the media.

Sarah thinks she has been wrongfully portrayed by the media and by golly, you betcha, if she had just had the last name of Kennedy, OR if she had run as a reformer on the "Democrat" ticket she would have just been loved by all of us and she would be the VP.

Excuse me while I stick my finger down my throat to puke. She either has a higher opinion of herself than anyone else does, or she thinks her winking at the TV set during her campaign appearances, or her lack of intelligence had nothing to do with why the American people en masse rejected both her and McCain.

This woman truly doesn't get it. Sarah, honey, let me be gentle with this: You are an empty-headed bimbo who looks kind of cute in the eyes of some people. Your holy-roller Christian zealot attitudes may appeal to some people, but a lot of us happen to think for ourselves.

Sarah, sweetie, just stay up in Alaska, enjoy being a grandmother to Bristol and Levi's child, and for God's sake, don't open your trap anymore. If you think you are going to be qualified in four years to make a run for national political office, the best thing you can do is not be seen and not be heard.

Start a "Babys-R-Us" store in Wasilla or sumpthin' like that you betcha!

Subject: A Question For Those Still Undecided As To Which Side To Support In The Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

"The question being?"

"In the Battle of Little Big Horn, who does one root for, the U.S. Cavalry under General George Custer or the Lakota Indians led by Sitting Bull?"

"If one roots for General Custer?"

"Most likely one will find oneself supporting this Israeli attempt to crush Gaza."

"Based on?"

"One's expressed tendency to side with the colonial power."

"And if one roots for Sitting Bull and the Lakotas?"

"One would support the Palestinians in their struggle to take back their homeland."

"Based on?"

"One's expressed tendency to side with the native against the colonial power."

"And what would be the outcome of said question being put before the public?"

"Is there any doubt?"

Subject: Howard Dean

Rahm and Schumer lost many democratic races due to their catering to a few elitist Clintonista Democrats, including Terry McCauliffe. The Clintons have pulled several fast ones over the past few months, including the Secretary of State deal, getting McCauliffe to run as Gov. of Virginia, then appointing Kaine as DNC chair. You see Rahm's fingerprints all over this ... now back to the old ways of losing future elections.

As a Deaniac, I am disgusted by this shunning of Dean, however, he will use a 50-state strategy for health care, and do a great job, one that Daschle won't be able to pull off. Why do Democrats always shoot themselves in the foot? My money now goes to Jim Dean's Democracy for America. Many of us worked steadfastly for 8 years to assist with the 50-state strategy and with the Deans, to have the rug pulled out from under us now!

Subject: Palin, Kennedy and "Class"

Seems Sarah is complaining about "class" differences between her and Caroline. Simple: Kennedy has it and Palin doesn't. Done. Deal with it. Go shoot a moose and wonder why educated Americans don't want anything to do with you.

Subject: Make War By Way Of Deception

Such is the motto of MOSSAD, the Israeli equivalent of our CIA. Thus it is also that Israel continues its planned genocide of the Palestinian people. By way of deception, we now have no civil rights. America is a police state replete with public executions of unarmed citizens by police officers. By way of deception, a citizen works not for their own wages, but for worthless scrip, the value of which is controlled by the issuer.

By way of deception, a citizen may not hear the truth in their news services, for the truth would send the populace into the streets with torches and pitchforks. The truth would bring back the guillotine. By way of deception, an Israeli with dual American citizenship becomes the US' director of homeland security. Sorry, I just can't capitalize homeland security -- it just doesn't merit it. By way of deception, AIPAC manages to get a few Billion US taxpayer dollars into Israel's hands every year, and every year, more children die at the hands of the Israeli Defense Forces. Imagine, an entire army that specializes in adolescent head shots.

The Gaza blockade served its purpose. It softened up the Palestinian populace to prepare for the long-planned ground invasion. Standard battle procedure for a country bent on starting World War III. Israel's fatalistic hawks are in Washington D.C. as well as Tel Aviv. Look at PNAC's membership roster. Look at Bush's "team."

No longer can Israel deflect condemnation with cries of persecution. That dog no longer barks. They are the persecutors, and the Palestinians, who ironically are the actual descendants of Biblical Jews, are systematically slaughtered by Israel, a collection of ancestrally European Jews. Don't read up on Israel and its history of deception. Don't perform an independent investigation of 9-11 or the 1967 USS Liberty incident. You don't wanna know.

By way of deception ...

Subject: Jane Hawes and Panama Red

Although we live on opposite sides of OKC, I think, I don't believe I have ever met Jane Hawes and I didn't read what she said about Ann, but I am sure it was nicer than what I would have said.

I think Ann should have free speech, but I wish people would stop inviting her in to use it.

So many people think the free speech zones began with 911 and they didn't. They began at Bush's first inauguration.

I was stuck in a free speech zone in Austin, Texas in April, 2001 at the opening of the Bullock Museum. On top of that they kept moving the free speech zone.

Subject: No More Bank Bailouts!

Hi Buzz & Friends,

If a thief holds you up on the street and takes your wallet or purse is it your reaction to say "Excuse me sir - but you forgot my money belt"? This is analogous to what Congress is planning right now. The TB2F banks are apparently going to get the second half of "their" TARP money on much the same terms that they got the first 350 billion dollars. Congress is once again asking for a "clear understanding" that the TB2F banks will use the money for mortgage relief and start lending again. This is not just a bad joke -- it is in fact a very "bold" move akin to a holdup in broad daylight. This is you money folks -- if you want to see it flushed down executive toilets, then all you have to do is not communicate your objections to your congressional representatives. By not doing so you'll be insuring that this huge amount of tax money is another total loss. The next giant flushing sound that you hear will be the future of our country being flushed down a toilet.

I listened very carefully to President Obama's economic speech this morning. I like some of what I heard and didn't like a lot more. I like the fact that he made clear that we're not where we are as a result of a natural business cycle. This is a favorite ploy of MSM and double talking Senators and Congressional Representatives. It has nothing to do with 100-year business cycles or the Comet Kohoutek. It's all about the policies of the bush administration and his co-conspirators in Congress -- plan and simple. We are where we are because Nancy Pelosi would not do her duty to uphold the rule of law and impeach the cheneybush. We are where we are because Pelosi and Reid gave away our money to the crooked, corrupt, scurrilous bankers who conspired to wreck our economy. The TB2F banks will fail, as will America, but the money in the banks will not just disappear -- it'll be pocketed by the very same crooks responsible the bleak economic outlook that most Americans are facing.

I didn't like President Obama's use of the phrase "... never happen again." This is well known Washington doublespeak that means "even as we speak we're hatching an even bigger plot to steal your money." We were promised an agenda of change and by God that's what we want. I'll say it again, these TB2F banks are going to fail -- if we don't put some crooks in jail. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are two of the biggest con artists in American history. Their snake oil comes at a tremendous cost to America. They think that we'll be so anxious to get a $500 dollar check that we won't notice the $350,000,000,000 check that they plan to give to their fat cat banker friends. If we do this again, the biggest personal risk I face is serious injury from beating my head against the wall.

We need to let these TB2F banks go bust and we need to bust some fat cat bankers. The next bank that fails should to be taken over by the federal government and operated as a bank, conducting banking business. An impenetrable vault is not a bank. To restore confidence in banking we need to hand out arrest warrants -- not more billions of taxpayer dollars.

President Obama and his speech writers need to be more careful in their choice of words and phraseology. Consider a patient who's had a heart attack. To say that "if we do nothing the patient will die" may be perfectly true -- but it does not justify any action whatsoever. If the surgeon stabs the patient in the heart with his scalpel, for instance, then the patient will almost certainly die. The campaign is over and lofty rhetoric needs to give way to precision, and well-known hackneyed doublespeak phrases should be avoided. Americans have heard too much of this stuff and it doesn't instill confidence -- quite the opposite.

President Obama should also stop glad-handing bush for the same reason. It makes me feel queasy at the stomach whenever I see this happen. Getting bush out of the White House and into the Big House is my fondest dream. Painting doom & gloom scenarios should also be avoided -- that particular trick is getting really -- really -- really old.

America has had a bold agenda for 8 years now. What we need now is an agenda of real change. Using antitrust laws for their intended purpose needs to be part of the "package."

Subject: Who is staying at Blair House?

I had been wondering why the Obamas aren't staying there and now I find out it is the ex-prime minister of Australia?

How could that possibly happen? Was Dufus Dubya counting on McCain being elected and I'm guessing he has a house near DC?

I find that very disturbing. Who the hell does Dufus think he is, booking Blair House during a transition?
