Subject: Lizard People

The infamous person whose write-in candidate was "Lizard People" in the Minnesota Senatorial race has come forward.

Subject: Someone else maybe for DE?

Biden's aide will takeover in the interim, according to Governor of Delaware, Ruth Minner. When 2010 comes around, if you live in Delaware, consider voting for someone besides Beau Biden, as senator. First he was not going to run for his dad's seat. Now he is. In a state that is predominantly African American, it would be good to consider people of all races and especially someone other than a Biden. Many qualified people now serve in the Delaware legislature.

Enough Bidenism already. We need someone to stand up to these banks, who mainly incorporate in Delaware, where they can have an orgy of credit card rates. Then they have the nerve to abuse their customers over one late payment. Then they turn around and ask the taxpayers to bailout their CEOs. I don't think the Bidens are your best bet, to say the least. Remember that song Smiling Faces. "Don't let the handshake and the smile fool you."

Subject: Comment Pages

I love your site and visit it several times a day to see what's going on! Thank you! But I also have a suggestion!

I wondered if perhaps a strategy of support for progressive ideals in the coming years might be to hang out on bulletin boards where political discussions occur with mixed participation. Mightn't this be a viable strategy? I have started adding my voice to at least one of these boards (SodaHeads) recently as well as commenting on many of the articles that appear here where comments are a part of the venue. Seems to me that with the ascendancy of talk radio blaring their right-wing message, there needs to be some balance and that our voices on the net can be this balance. How about running a list of boards on Buzz Flash.com where people like me can become a voice for progressive policies and values?

Beth

Subject: Cast a vote for tolerance.

Help us out in OKC, the city had a Christmas Boat Parade of Lights for a few years and this year, in a rare stroke of tolerance, they changed the name to Boat Parade of Lights. People are upset and KFOR is taking a poll and the self-righteous are winning, with 81%.

Help strike a blow for liberty and go to the KFOR site, then scroll down to the Rant link. If you want to leave a comment, they will ask for a town and use OKC, Moore, Yukon, Bethany, Midwest City.

Come on help us out of this dungeon of intolerance. They have been going after Target for years up here.

Subject: Mormons and Prop 8

Watching Joe Scarborough show and they are talking about the Mormon Church involvement in the Prop 8 issue.

Chuck Todd just made an interesting point that I hadn't even thought about. It makes a lot of sense. Todd says that the Mormon Church may have become so involved in this issue (along with the Catholic Church) in an effort to "reach out" to evangelical Christians to shore up support for the Mittster in 2012.

That makes sense in a perverted and twisted Republicon kind of way.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all BuzzFlashers!

Subject: Hillary, as Secretary of State

So, OB must adjust her salary downward by one dollar. Big deal!

Unconstitutional Hillary?

Subject: Hands Off Cuba

"What about its restrictions on free speech?"

"There are restrictions on our free speech too?"

"Namely?"

"These so-called free speech zones."

"Then why this embargo?"

"The powers that be fear the good example."

"Such as?"

"Where need, not greed, sets the agenda."

"Anything else?"

"Where one equals one."

"Based on?"

"Everyone being of equal importance in the total scheme of things."

"And then what sort of world?"

"It'll be up to us."

Subject: Obama Sell Out to Wall Street

Has Obama completely sold out to Wall Street allowing Bush Tax cuts to continue for 2 more years? (And of course the economy will be too weak to ever implement any tax increases on the top 5% in 2010, which is an election year!) No wonder Wall Street is cheering. When will this country return to fiscal sanity? We need some revenue more than ever to offset massive Bush bail outs (which Obama supports without paying for them) and huge future fiscal stimulus programs on the drawing boards (which we will never pay for). So let's continue with discredited supply side nonsense now and Keysian economics at the same time? This is what the majority voted for? Some voted for fiscal responsibility, which Obama promised now, not at some future vague date.

What's Happening at BuzzFlash?

Sarah Palin - check. Bushes attire check. Who should take over the American auto industry - say what? Bush seems uncomfortable in his own skin - when to me he seems happier than I've seen him since "Mission Accomplished". Bush is accomplishing more in his last 3 months in office than he has during his entire term - no wonder he looks so happy. Reading Buzz Flash doesn't seem all that different from watching MSM. I've spent hours writing about the only critical issue facing Americans today - and most of it has been rejected by BF editors in favor of the kind of gibberish that populates its pages today. Barack owes the base a full court press in Georgia - what about the governor of Illinois - aren't we one senator short when America needs all hands on deck in the U.S. Senate. Americans don't deserve much better than what they're getting because they've got their heads so far up their butts. We were pathetic in our resistance to the war and what's happening right now will make the war seem like a TV sitcom. This will be my last post to buzzflash - there has to be a progressive web site out there somewhere. Tim Mooring
