Progressive Programs on MSNBC are in Danger. Comcast is Probably Going to Take it Over and Scarborough Got Markos Banned.

JOE SCARBOROUGH

Don't forget that Joe Scarborough -- who half the time appears bored with his own prorgam "Morning Joe -- is on MSNBC, and he ain't no liberal; he was a conservative congressman from the Pensacola area before retiring, claiming that he wanted to spend time with his children. Except, true to Republcian hypocrisy, he was divorced and got remarried -- Gingrich style -- to a Republican committee staffer just a few months after announcing he was resigning to spend more time with his children

Oh yeah, and something else odd happened after the announcement of his resignation in 2001, an aide in Florida, Lori Klausutis, died under rather unusual circumstances in Scarborough's Fort Walton Beach home district office. The story was that she fainted, her head hit a desk and she died as a result. No one found her until the next day. She was married and neither her husband nor family would talk to the press. There were many rumors that swirled around considering the circumstances -- Scarborough was divorced, he had just resigned "for the family's sake," the alleged cause of death appeared to be a one in a million shot, there were rumors that Scarborous was having an affair with Klausutis, and so on.

Scarborough always sloughed off the calls for a more extensive inquiry into the death of Klausitis, and later made a joke about it on the Imus show. "Morning Joe" has always seemed to handle the incident with either levity or a thin prickly skin. (We should add that the predominant rumor speculation at the time -- and BuzzFlash was hot on the story since we were around prior to 99% of the progressive sites up now -- was that the aide was pregnant by Joe and committted suicide, but, as we say, there is no proof of that, and that is why there was a call for a more thorough investigation.)

Now, this is the same Joe Scarborough who pro bono, made his name in his district legally assisting the murderer of an abortion doctor:

Scarborough's most famous case was representing Michael F. Griffin, the accused killer of abortion doctor David Gunn, in early to mid 1993. He made several court appearances for Griffin. "There was 'no way in hell I could sit in at a civil trial, let alone a capital trial,' he claims now, referring to the prospect of prosecutors seeking the death penalty against Griffin. Scarborough assisted Griffin in choosing a trial lawyer from the many who offered their services, and he also shielded the family from the media exposure.

So, with hypocrisy rampant in "Morning Joe's" congressional and television career, it was no surprise that he got into a twitter duel with Markos, accusing him of spreading stories that he, Joe Scarborough, killed Klausitis. This is absurd on "Morning Joe's" part and clearly an attempt to blacklist Markos, since -- to our knowledge -- Markos never made such an accusation and Daily Kos wasn't even around at the time of the incident.

But Joe knew what he was doing and the management at MSNBC temporarily has banned Markos for the twitter exchange when they really should have suspended Joe for conduct unbefitting a television morning "news" show host. Scarborough has mocked the Klausitis death stories himself and still has a lot of explaining to do about the sequence of events beginning in 2001 with his resignation, a bizarre death in his home office, and a marriage to a congressional aide, all in short order. The question is not if Joe Scarborough killed Klausitis; it is "what was his relationship with her and did she commit suicide"?

But if a trumped up Joe Scarborough miffed tweet can get Markos knocked off MSNBC, watch out when Comcast takes over the NBC empire, which it will likely do. They are as right wing as they come.

The progressive beachead on MSNBC is in danger, and now we know that the management swings toward Morning Joe, not Maddow, Olbermann and Schultz.

Joe Scarborough, BuzzFlash doesn't know what happened to cause the death of Lori Klausitis, but we do know that you are the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week, along with Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC who banned Markos at your request.

I have Comcast for cable TV, internet, AND telephone. But I can find alternatives if they scrap MSNBC. Comcast's home page on the web REALLY pushes FOX news clips and stories. It's passive aggressive, and while I have often called them on their bias, nothing has been done about it. The simplest answer is often the best: Comcast has a hard-right bias, and they are buying MSNBC so they can scrap it. I'm not very prophetic, and I hope I'm wrong. But this is another example of the TeaBagging nut-wing of the GOP stopping at NOTHING to destroy liberal America.
