John Sifton Didn't Ignore Those Who Died from the Bush Administration's Torture, Winning BuzzFlash's Wings of Justice

WINGS OF JUSTICE
John Sifton
This week, BuzzFlash would like to present the Wings of Justice to John Sifton, an attorney and human rights investigator for One World Research who has shed new light on the Bush Administration torture controversy.
Sifton recently investigated the approximately 100 homicides that were a result of the Bush Administration's whatever-it-takes torture policy. According to his report, these detainees, including CIA-held detainees, have died during U.S. interrogations. He pointed out that some are known to have been tortured to death, and that most of these homicide cases have not been properly investigated or been investigated at all. Sifton argues that we cannot talk about looking forward when people's lives have been taken.
His background gives him added gravitas. Sifton has written extensive articles that call the U.S. and foreign governments to action on terrorism and counterterrorism issues, and security and human rights issues. He has also testified before Congress, European Parliament, and Council of Europe committees against security issues and abuses by intelligence agencies.
Sifton accuses foreign and U.S. governments of extensive human rights abuses on a weekly basis. His claims have no room for imperfection because his arguments against the governments are fierce, but they're backed up by a bevy of research and investigations that have taken place all over the world from everyone involved.
Many have looked the other way at the deaths suffered at the hands of torture, especially the MSM. The debate isn't about the deaths but what is defined as torture. They completely overlook most of the issues Sifton brings up in his articles, especially the torture deaths.
"One cannot speak glibly of 'policy differences' and 'looking forward' and 'distraction' when corpses are involved," said Sifton.
However, it's something that needs to be taken into consideration, at least more so than where the president went for a cheeseburger. His calls to action are not to be ignored by global citizens or government officials, because they don't affect one person or one group of people, they affect the world as a whole.
For being one of the few voices calling for recognition of what was done by the torture from the Busheviks, we award John Sifton the BuzzFlash Wings of Justice award.

Wher is the rest of the world?
It's obvious that Obama wants to sweep this under the nearest rug. The USA is not living up to its treaty obligations and we are ignoring our own laws. I wish a brave prosecutor would step up and do what the criminals in Washington refuse to do.
I call the Obama administration criminal because Obama is aiding and abetting a cover up of the crimes of Bush, Cheney, the CIA and the military. Obama's refusal to investigate makes him complicit in the crimes.
and a worthy award it is,
