Michele Bachmann throws around anti-American accusations, definitely our GOP Hypocrite of the Week

Michele Bachmann
Welcome back to the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week.
Does a Congresswoman from Minnesota who has that morbidly exuberant zombie gaze of an extra from "The Night of the Living Dead" merit a hypocrisy award or just a one-way trip to the loony bin?
That's the kind of challenging question that Minnesota Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann poses to BuzzFlash.
In wide-eyed glee, Bachmann's most recent act of zealotry was to firmly imply that Barack Obama was Anti-American and the media should investigate an alleged cabal of "Anti-American" members of Congress. In the YouTube era, her simultaneously appalling, scary, and entertaining outburst even forced the hand of the House Republican fund to withdraw its campaign support.
Bachmann is sort of the "on steroids" version of Sarah Palin, who just recently talked about "Real America" vs. - well -- the unreal America, as in any large urban area.
The hypocrisy is that any self-described "American" who calls people who disagree with them "Un-American" is a hypocrite, because being American is embracing a diversity of opinion. That's why freedom of expression is our First Amendment.
But the likes of Michele Bachmann is the ignorant, crazed counterpart to Sarah Palin's not knowing the responsibilities of the Vice President as simply stated in the Constitution. In short, so many of the people who claim to be "real Americans" are really the most contemptuous or lacking in knowledge of the Constitution.
Palin and Bachmann are among a cadre of nativists who believe that their birthright as white Christian Americans endows them with a Teflon-coated shield of superiority, without having to accept responsibility for their actions.
With United States citizenship comes the responsibility to uphold the United States Constitution, not to be a crazed champion of being a know-nothing.
But as long as Bachmann chooses to be an American citizen, she has to abide by the Constitution and behave in a manner befitting what students learn in a basic government civics class.
Until then, Michele Bachmann more than merits being named the BuzzFlash GOP Hypocrite of the Week. Stupidity is no excuse for intolerance, Congresswoman Bachmann.
Remember our motto: So many Republican hypocrites, so little time.
Catch up with you soon.

*Physically*, Michelle Bachmann is a very attractive woman. But as John Lennon wrote:
One thing you can't hide
Is when you're crippled inside.
Michelle, you're not my belle.
