La hipocresia: the Obama-Ludacris/ McCain-Daddy Yankee double standard

When Ludacris came out with an offensive pro-Obama/anti-Hillary/anti-McCain song, Republicans and Democrats -- including the Obama campaign -- decried it. But even though the candidate himself said Ludacris "should be ashamed," some right-wing pundits took the opportunity to make it about more than just the one song. They railed on Obama for calling Ludacris talented and said it demonstrated how outside the cultural mainstream he was. So now that John McCain has enthusiastically accepted the endorsement of reggaeton star "Daddy Yankee," where's the outrage?

In light of the Ludacris story, former Romney adviser Bay Buchanan told Sean Hannity on "Hannity and Colmes" that Obama "appreciates and enjoys a culture that is very much opposed to that which middle America appreciates."

Well, what kind of culture does McCain appreciate when the man he calls "a special friend" and "a great American success story" puts out lyrics such as these?

What it do, look mami
In the club I see you shakin'
Lookin' sexy in a skirt
But girl I'm tryin' to get you naked
I got the right words
And baby you got some nice curves
So roll with me, I might splurge
And fill your mouth with icebergs
You watchin' me, I'm watchin' you
What it do, let's chop it up
I got some games, I'm on the play
Lil' mom, I'ma tryin' to cut
Beat it up and break your back
Lay the wood and make you sweat
Girl, it's gonna be a long night
I'm wide up and ready to rake
C'mon and gimme a midnight snack
And I'm gonna have you moanin'
So good you're gonna cook me breakfast early in the mornin'
You know I'm Paul Wall
The ladies man with lotsa juice
Baby, I'm hung just like a noose
Look girl, I'm tryin' to get you loose
My eyes peel on your caboose
I'm on the scheme, tryin' to plot
Tryin' to get inside your lot
Makin' moves to make you hot
Mi casa es su casa
So come on over and spend the night
I'm certified to break your back
So holla at me, I'll cut you right

Machete... (In and out!)
Machete... (In and out!)
Machete... (In and out!)
(Machete, machete!)
Maybe since most of Daddy Yankee's lyrics are in Spanish, McCain didn't realize he was as much of a misogynist as his supporters accuse Obama-fans Ludacris and Jay-Z to be. Although one only need watch the video to his biggest hit, "Gasolina," to realize it's not -- as the singer jokingly claimed -- about "energy independence."

Those are actually another

Those are actually another rapper's (Paul Wall) lyrics, not Daddy Yankee's. Whoever wrote this article is a retard and has nothing better to do with their time. Im sure "Time" magazine does not think Daddy Yankee is one of the 100 most influential people in the world for nothing. http://www.time.com/time/2006/time100/

Clarification

It's a collaboration--it's a Daddy Yankee song featuring Paul Wall. It's on a Daddy Yankee album.

I'm not saying Daddy Yankee isn't influential, just that his lyrics have no moral high ground on other artists like Ludacris and that the right wing pundits are total hypocrites.
