The White House Throws a "Hail Mary Obstruction of Justice Pass"

We have neocon Democrats writing legislation to support millionaire farmers, and neocon Repubs supporting their own bunch of wealthy corrupt sapsuckers all at our expense, and a neocon media ensuring that the sheeple are fed a line of entertainment of trivial pursuit. There no longer is a government of and for the people.

Cheney is turning this country into a second Soviet Union, but Neocon Nancy is too busy sharing farmers' subsidies with millionaires to impeach Cheney or defund the slaughter.

Meanwhile Cindy Sheehan gets arrested for daring the dimwits to do their duty. Surprised? Me neither.

If the leadership that I now see coming from Democrats in Congress, where they are afraid to take on Bush and his corporate cabal, and where they refuse to support the overwhelming majority of Democrats and Americans that oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants, then perhaps they don't deserve to win. They appear to me to be out of touch with America on both impeachment and illegal immigration.

Someone told me one time that if the Democrats ever had to form a firing squad they would line up in a circle!! That is just what they are doing now with this impeachment issue -- not the Democrats in Congress, necessarily, but those who are impatient with Congress. By denigrating every member of Congress equally, these commentators are just feeding the crap put out by the Republicans. What about Conyers, Kucinich, etc., etc? It is time we supported and encouraged our Democratic Congress, not this continual sniping.

Why the Democrats are behaving as they are is simple. They are bought and sold by the same powerful forces that have transformed the GOP into a mindless cult of power.
Their timidity is our hope. Right now they think Americans have no choice but to vote for the Party that will at least throw them a few sops.
We must let them know that we are not buying what they are selling. Since there is no discernable difference between the Parties, there will be no difference no matter which of the lackluster sellouts we pretend to elect.
We must make the Democrats understand that they will be denied power unless they serve our interests.

I was in total agreement with Nancy Pelosi's and the Democratic Party's stand, in the fall of 2006, that the election was not about impeachment, per se... It really could not be so narrowly drawn and still result in any progress, the journey to truth and the recovery of our national soul cannot be accomplished in any one single step. It is a process that we are engaged with, that I am committed to and it has a goal to which the Nation has begun to stumble toward.

But we can wait no longer, censure is not enough, impeach them both!

Reasonable men and women may differ, but the fact remains... If this Congress, and it must be this one for if not no other will ever be legitimate, does not sanction the President and the Executive by the only means understood by this President and his Unitary Executive, then it can and will be said that the American Republic is dead, transformed to USA Inc., the very embodiment of Corporatism. Our Democratic Experiment will become a sham, a pale imitation of Liberty hidden by a veil of Fear.

If left in place this Unitary Executive will never allow a fair and free election, I said as much in 2004, that they would never voluntarily relinquish power, that they would use every means within that great power to remain in power. They have indeed done just that and it now is institutionalized and incorporated into the infrastructure of our politics and media to a degree that the election of Democrat to the Presidency in 2008 is no sure thing... A really amazing statement given where the nation finds itself today but one consistent with recent experience and the nature of the evil we face.

Though time is short, it is more than just symbolically important and there are two opportunities for it to be addressed with the consent of the governed. If the hearings are held and the Articles of Impeachment drafted and discussed in the fall of 2008 as an important issue in the campaign, then the People can decide in November and Congress can convene and vote the impeachment in a lame duck session. If the Congress remains “invertebrate” then the 111th Congress must convene on January 2nd 2009 and vote to impeach before the 20th.

It matters not if trial by the Senate is ever held and I would call upon President Gore to pardon Mr. Bush and send him home to Texas.

For we will have bigger fish to fry...

Impeachment MUST be put back on the table! The Progressive Democrats in this country feel betrayed by the majority leaders in both houses! Democrats came out strong at the voting booth, in order to stop the war in Iraq, and remove a criminal administration from office, before more harm to the country could take place. Nothing has changed! The killing in an illegal war continues! People are still being illegally wiretapped! The assault on the Constitution continues with reckless abandon! The Justice Department is dysfunctional! And, the public continues being ripped off by out of control corporations who are engaging in war profiteering! In addition to
the above mentioned items, let's not forget how Vice President Cheney's energy policy has tripled the cost of a tank of gasoline, and heating oil, in the last six years!

The Bush Administration makes the Mafia look like a church tea group. Cheney, Bush, and the rest of the crooks in this administration belong in prison! This entire administration should be impeached NOW! None of this criminal Bush Administration bull**** would be happening if congress was doing their job! Republicans in congress are aiding and abetting the Bush administration criminals! In addition to that, this man Libby, has been tried, convicted, and NOT jailed, for his illegal activities! Then again, I'm not surprised. Consider the fact that "DICK" Cheney is the one responsible for Libby's law breaking, and will do whatever it takes to protect Libby, in order to save his own criminal rear end! Cheney and Bush must be impeached NOW!
And let's not forget that crooked little weasel Gonzales! Congress has been standing by, and allowing the crimes of this administration to take place in plain view and not doing a thing to stop them. Allowing this criminal administration to continue breaking the law with impunity is not only a travesty, but a violation of the oath that congress takes to protect and uphold the constitution! Violating the oath of office is in itself a crime. Congress must begin representing the people of this country and doing the job they were elected to do! If they don't, there will be a price to pay!

For Bush to expand his powers, to the extent where the executive branch answers to no one, is absurd! It's obvious that the White House, knowing they have broken laws for which they could be thrown into jail, will do
anything in their power to keep out of prison! They have stacked the courts in their favor so that they will never
be found guilty of anything. Consider the judge who just dismissed the Plame case! THIS IS WHY IMPEACHMENT
MUST BE PURSUED NOW!

To congress: Remove the crooks from office! Send the crooks to prison! Throw away the key!

There were Impeachable crimes before Bush ever stepped into the White House, and barely a day goes by that there are not more of them.
Every day that goes by is a bit harder to do what it will take to Impeach, they knew and have been preparing for this fight since before the Y2K election, and I will be increasingly surprised if there is an election in 2008, except if it is to replace President Pelosi.
