A Republican State Party Chairman Wishes More Terrorist Attacks on U.S. to Prove George W. Bush "Right"

A BUZZFLASH EDITORIAL

There’s been a bit of commentary on the net about a statement by the Chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party in which he calls for terrorist attacks on the United States to prove that Bush’s anti-terrorism policies are necessary.

Okay, you don’t believe us? You think that this is BuzzFlash hyperbole?

Here’s the money quotation, right here:

"At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001], and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country," Milligan said.

Yes, Dennis Milligan, the head of the Arkansas GOP, said this just a few days ago, posted in a June 3 article in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Now, this is a monstrously barbaric and treasonous statement. It is hard to even begin to wrap one’s mind around how it wishes Americans more terrorist attacks to prove Bush is "right" in sending Americans to die and paying hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars to war profiteers. To repeat, Milligan is wishing more Americans to die from terrorism on our home soil in order to prove that Bush is doing the "right thing" to prevent such attacks from occurring.

Okay, lift up your jaw.

Now, here’s our point. Beyond how Milligan represents the traitorous extremes that Republicans will go to in making excuses for failed policies, have you heard one word of denunciation or alarm from the right wing media echo chamber about the traitor in their midst?

We haven’t. Not a peep.

A state Republican Party Chairman calls for terrorist attacks on the United States, and the GOP media megaphones (including FOX Republican Propaganda News and hedonist, drug user Rush Limbaugh) are attacking John Edwards’ haircut, but not one of their own, who wishes Osama accomplishes more missions!

Mr. Milligan represents a danger to our national security, as do so many Republicans, because he prefers to prove his party’s "leader" is "right" at the cost of American lives at home.

These people are enemies within our midst, whose minds and loyalties to an authoritarian hierarchy of incompetents is more important to them than loyalty to our safety and to our Constitution.

Yet, the right wing media cares little about such tortured psychotic and perilous thinking from a state Republican Party Chairman.

They are too busy revving up their character assassination machine against Democratic candidates for President.

If ever there were proof that the Republican media shills care little for America and its future – other than ensuring their personal profit and perch of power – the fact that Mr. Milligan is still the Chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party is proof of it.

Think of what would have transpired if a Democratic State Party Chairman had said this. It would have been a national media and Republican talking point uproar for days.

But, most importantly, remember this point. This is for real. This is how Republicans think.

They wish us harm in order to prove that they are "right" in pursuing errant policies.

They have lost all sense of real concern for our safety – and are a threat to our well-being.

Had Bill Clinton done his job...

Instead of getting serviced in the Oval Office and accepted the custody of Bin Laden we would not be discussing this.

has anyone wondered as to why Sandy Berger stuffed down his pants classified papers and hid some behind the dumpster. He should have been thrown in jail. Democrats the likes of congressman Johnson and his 90k in the freezer bullshit are so corrupt.

The Iran crisis is also a democrat screw up; Jimmy Carter the Inept accusing W. Bush as the worst is himself the worst ever. Why didn't Carter knock off the ayatollah? Now we'll have to nuke them soon.

I had a feeling I should come back here...

...and sure enough it's the treacherous "blame it all on Clinton" agitator, Zorro. You like to throw lots of accusations around; let's see you back one up, ace. Are you ready, after months now, to prove your assertion of a connection between between Saddam Hussein and al Qaeda? You should have come up with something by now. Your hero Ronald Reagan didn't take out the Ayatollah either, why not? Why did he negotiate with him and sell him advanced weaponry when the stated policy of the federal government was that the U.S. does not negotiate with terrorists? Iran was supporting Hezbollah who were kidnapping and killing all over the landscape; why is Carter the screwup? At least he held to the policy.

I thought not...

'nuff said

A republican president, a republican congress....

...a republican governor, a republican mayor failed. Completely. Failed to heed the personal warning of the previous president and the warnings of key members of his staff that al Qaeda was the nation's most serious and immediate threat, failed to heed hundreds of warnings from allied intelligence agencies abroad, failed to heed the warnings of our own intelligence agencies, failed to act effectively on 9-11 while the president ran like a scared jackrabbit to Kansas. Failed to catch Mullah Omar and bin Laden in Afghanistan, actually pulling back the American troops at Tora Bora while he WALKED over into Pakistan, where he lives now free as a bird to plot new attacks. Then attacked a nation that had nothing to do with 9-11 and killed between 600,000 - 700,000 of it's citizens. The japanese killed fewer Americans at Pearl Harbor and we sacrificed tens of thousands against their island tunnels and pillboxes and then baked their homeland, but Osama goes free. Apparently in riechwing-world this string of hopeless failures isn't enough. They need to fail again to show how much better they are at keeping us safe. Leave it to a republican to call for more American deaths to further their political interest. Pure scumbaggery, pure treason.

WHO REPUBLICANS ARE

To get a realistic idea of the sort of individual who comprises the lovely "Republican Base", go back and read "The Ox-Bow Incident".

The Republican "Base" is a blood thirsty, vicious, scared, cowardly, utterly ignorant and defiantly un-informed lynch mob.

Exactly!

Exactly! But Repukicans keep twisting around the rules and their own words to suit them. They are sick sick people who cannot be believed or trusted.

terrorist attacks

Wouldn't new terrorist attacks prove that President Bush is wrong, not right? We are still in Iraq because if we leave the terrorists will follow us home. We are fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here. etc.

You would think so but...

There would naturally be the ever present Rethug spin applied to such a dreadful scenario. "It is apparent that despite our country's efforts to stop them 'over there', the terrorists have succeeded in attacking us once again." Then as a result an even more Nazi like bill would be rushed through 'our' government. One that would make the current Patriot Act look like a blessing. Perhaps they would call it "The Freedom from Terror Act", that's got a nice ring to it don't you think? 'Intelligence reports' would probably point to Iran, and Chimpy and Dead Eye Dick would push the big red button with glee. On top of that if this 'terrorist' attack just 'happened' to occur near the 08 elections, I'm sure they'd be 'put on hold' due to the attack, and the true "Axis of Evil" (that would be Chimpy, Dead Eye, and Turd-Blossom) would continue to reek havoc on our country and the world.

Improbable you say, well it worked the first time didn't it?
