Is Laura Leaving Bush After he Leaves Office Because He's Been Hitting the Sauce Again?

Okay, don't tell me you don't look at the tabloids on the sly when you are in the supermarket checkout line. I do. Sometimes, yes, I even buy one, if there is a timely potentially believable political scandal story.
Most of the time, the tabloids focus on Britney and Paris (now also of John McCain ad fame), but when they go after a political figure, we have found that some of them have about a 50% chance of being onto something. For instance, The National Enquirer had such specific details of the Edwards trip to the hotel in Beverly Hills that he could have sued them for libel if it weren't true. And as sleazy as these publications are, The Enquirer was credited with being one of the more accurate sources on the Lewinsky scandal.
The main reason that the mainstream press looks down on them on political stories is that they pay for information if they need to, not to mention that "real" reporters look down on their tabloid brethren.
So it's not surprising that there's been a persistent tabloid story that the corporate establishment media has been ignoring: allegations that Laura Bush has basically decided to part company with Junior after his term of office is over again. Here are some screen shots from this week's Globe, one of the "leading" tabloids:

and

During a period in 2006, when Laura Bush was noticeably absent from Bush's side much of the time, the Globe printed this story and cover:

And another tabloid took note around the same time period:

Now, travel with us a little farther down the road on this one, because you only need look at Bush's inappropriate, juvenile, and just plain bizarre behavior during his Olympic trip to wonder if indeed he has been hitting the sauce again (of which there has been potential evidence in the past, including a bruised face and that strange pretzel and "near beer" choking incident, among others).
We noted Bush's embarrassing actions in China in a BuzzFlash column entitled, "The Diplomat Decathlon: Bush's Marathon of Olympic Blunders." If Obama had done just one of the adolescent and plain bumbling actions Bush did in Beijing, he would have been pilloried.
Bush held up the American flag backwards; he tapped a small U.S. flag impatiently against his thigh during the opening ceremony (a dishonoring of the flag); and he slapped the backside of a young nubile female volleyball player (no, we are not making this up):
This begs the question whether Bush had returned, in full, to his Frat boy days at Yale, including getting high on the sauce. Wonkette, for one, asked the question, "Was Bush Falling Down Drunk At Olympics?"

So you can rightfully disdain the sensationalism of the tabloids, but sometimes our guess is that on political scandals, they get closer to the truth than the corporate mainstream media -- or at least they are one step ahead of them.
Bush's behavior at the Olympics should have been a national scandal, but big media just shrugged it off as jocular good fun.
As for Laura and George's marriage (and her much rumored short stay at the Mayflower Hotel last year), only time will tell if George, the self-avowed alcoholic, has returned to his old ways.
In the meantime, if you want to even consider the possibility that George is downing liquor, the only place, apparently, you will be allowed to openly read about it is in the tabloids.
Of course, tabloid fodder about Britney, Brangelina, Paris, Rosie, and the like regularly seep up the feeding chain into the corporate press, but Bush's personal life is off limits.
The question is why?
Isn't he the one still answering the 3 AM phone calls?
Actually, probably not. They just go directly to Dick Cheney. He's only drunk when he is out shooting friends ... uh, we mean pheasants.

Your Corporate Controlled Conservative Press (CCCP) in action!
You think you will see this stuff in the "Main$tream Media" such as the SCREW YORK TIMES, the WHORESHINGTON POST, the LIES ANGELES TIMES, the CHICAGO FIBUNE or the ATLANTA KKKONSTITUTION?????
Hell NO! They are all under the control of the Republic Party. They are all under the control of the Corporate Controlled Conservative Press, er, CCCP!
Hmmmmmmmmmm, now WHERE have we previously seen "CCCP", hmmmmmmmm, I wonder?????
Censoring messages on this blog
Where's the Enquirer?
Don't discount the tabloids
CORPORATE CONTROLED MEDIA
Why ask it as a question?
Drinking Bush
So you change (the patently false) "ass" ...
That's the kind of "correction" Bill O'Reilly would make.
"Birds of a feather ... ", huh, Mark?
We voted for this dude!.
Speak for yourself, sir!
Bush Was NOT "Elected"
Do we still own them?
You CAN'T be serious...or can you?
Ooooooohhh!!!! An ACTUAL racist ...
"CSA" is an acronym for "Confederate States of America". Apparently they believe the Civil War hasn't ended yet. Go figure.
Ooooooh ..... HEY! Talk about an oxymoron! They have their own "Confederate Intelligence Bureau".
Join this month, and you get a free gun rack!
Is this English?
Yes- Meet Yman, the Pissy Little Hillaryinsta
As to the article at hand - WTF? Again? This is precisely the private life so-called "character issue" that should be dealt with between a person and his/her family - not slavered at in the pages of scummy supermarket tabloids. Of all the excellent reasons to hate, loathe and despise The Traitor Bush, he's a backsliding alcoholic doesn't even matter - it makes him seem pathetic rather than the loathsome which he is....
Yes - Meet "Doc", the boy who cries "Racist!"...
Yep.
Look at the post above yours. I was just letting you know about "CSA Citizen". You seemed to be wondering about whether he was serious.
Sadly ....... he is.
NOT ELECTED!!!!!
What's that "we" business?
I beg your pardon, but WE did not vote for this dude. I and my family did not vote for him in 2000, and did not vote for him in 2004. Come to think of it, nobody I knew voted for this dude either. Was he elected? Really? Looks to me like he has two STOLEN elctions under his belt. That fact in itself is amazing. Please don't think that he got elected. He got planted. Anointed. And yes, all the decisions seemed to favor bushwa, just like they seem to favor bushwa today. He is the sacred cow, the untouchable, the teflon man. Nothing sticks to the thick coat of lies and depravities.
The folks who really voted for bushwa still have the same take on him. Holy man. Why? Because in every society there is a certain percentage of mental cases, you know. They don't change their minds. As in - they have no minds to change. Therefore they have no regrets. If they can help it, we'll have at least 4 more years of bushpolitics, with McCain at the helm. Still steering this hapless raft of a country towards Niagara Falls of Fate.
And the creator just sits back and laughs her rear end off.
Moving on up to the East Side...
Compound in Texas?
The "ranch" in Crawford is nothing more than a movie set. Dumbyas handlers made him buy that so that he could be just like Ronald Raygun. Our idiot-in-chief has spent two of the past seven years at that ranch clearing brush. If you've ever been around Crawford, you know that there is not enough brush to clear in an afternoon. My guess is that the RNC or the SS guards truck the stuff in weekly for photo ops.
Laura has already been house shopping in Dallas and I'm betting they'll never return to Crawford after January 20, 2009. Middle America bought this ruse just like they still believe all of the other lies he has told.
Sorry, but ...
No Class
He DID decline
Of course he has no class and puts America to shame, but he's bad enough without having to make stuff up. It just undermines credibility and legitimate criticism on genuine issues.
YUCK!
Easy answer
"Who is stopping the government from holding him responsible for ALL the things he has done?"
That's easy. He has complete and total protection provided by his chief lieutenants Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. They've had his back for almost eight years.
Status Quo....
You sir are a cretin.
RE: You sir are a cretin.
Don't you know that any time a republican attempts to describe a Democrat he always.........ALWAYS describes himself!!
Very Offensive
Quo Vadis?
Gods - I AGREE w/Those Racist Pissy Trolls Yman & vtjozef?!?!?
Seriously, though - tabloids? What is this - the MEN IN BLACK argument that the gutter press is somehow more "honest" than the MSM...which is increasing aping the gutter press in its whoring for ratings?
You know - of all the excellent reasons to hate and despise Bush, possible struggles w/the bottle or in his marriage aren't two I consider Any of Our F(&king Business - any more than I thought Clinton's fling w/Monica Lewinsky, Giuliani's serial adultery, or Edwards's affair with Rielle Hunter, were germane to what kind of leaders they were or would make.
You agree, "Doc"?
Guess you're the proverbial broken clock.
"Racist"? Because I'll be voting for Obama?
.............. if you say so.
Not if she wants to LIVE she won't
Congratulations, BuzzFlash
Wonderful
even if he's not drinking...
BUSH IS A FOOL & HE REALLY DOESN'T KNOW IT!
This is true - Bet on it
Not to worry too much
If the Tabloids are correct
Bush's behavior
Buzzflash - First "Drudge", now "The National Examiner"
Your evidence that Bush is "returning to his frat boy days, including getting high on the sauce":
1) Some tabloid headlines (speaks for themselves) 2) Holding the flag backwards (he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer ... waddaya want?) 3) Tapping a flag on his leg (?????? Are you serious?) 4) (the most "frat-like" behavior) slapping "the ass of a young nubile female volleyball player."
First of all, a slap on the ass is a tradition among female volleyball players. Secondly, she asked him to do it. Finally, he didn't actually do it. The Reuters photo caption was corrected 8 minutes after intitial publication to indicate that he patted her "back", rather than her "backside".
I could care less about whatever insults you want to hurl at the Idiot-in-Chief, but when you make ridiculous accusations without the slightest bit of credible evidence, you not only undermine your own credibility (oxymoron) but damage the chances that real scandals and issue will recieve the attention they deserve. Their response will simply be "There goes the loony left again. Do you remember what they were saying a few weeks ago?"
Of course, given some of your Editorblogs and articles over the past six months, arguing for a modicum of credibility from BuzzFlash is like telling Ann Couter she needs to be more civil.
It just ain't gonna happen.
jeez grumpy
Tabloids have no credibility
Because they were right about Lewinsky and Hunter, we should entertain their accusations without any credible evidence? Hey, you may be on to something there. Here's a few interesting tabloid headlines:

Maybe Mark should look into these. Hey, he's just asking the question after all, right? Reminds me of the Jon Stewart clip (can't find it) where he points out how Fox News can justify the most ridiculous trailers simply by adding a question mark afterwards ("Do Democrats love terrorists?""Do liberals hate America?")? Hey, they're just entertaining the possibility.
I guess the mistake is expecting BuzzFlash to have higher standards than Fox.
but.....
