Will Joe Lieberman be John McCain's Assisted Living Caretaker and Vice-President as They Bomb Iran?

In case you've been so caught up in the battle royale of the Democratic primaries, Joe Lieberman has been escorting John McCain around Iraq and Israel, acting as his assisted living caretaker.
Not only has Lieberman once or twice bailed McCain out of his confusion between Sunnis and Shiites, he most recently saved McCain from his equating the Jewish Holiday of Purim with Halloween while jaunting around Israel.
In my younger days, I played the role of Mordechai in a youthful Synagogue Purim play. Mordechai helps save the Jews from the evil plot of Haman to have them destroyed by the Persians of ancient times. The key heroine is Queen Esther who persuades her husband, King Ahasuerus, to assist in keeping the Jews from being annihilated by Haman's forces. As a result, the Jews survive a potential Holocaust and Purim is celebrated with the reading of the Book of Esther, or as it has come to be called in the vernacular, "the whole Megillah."
Yes, costumes are worn to recreate the festive celebration of escaping annihilation and re-enacting the drama, but it is not Halloween.
But McCain's ongoing confusion about Purim, who the enemy is in Iraq, the role of Iran, and in general the realities of the U.S. presence in the Middle East is altogether fitting for the Lieberman and McCain "Bomb Iran and Stay in Iraq for 100 Years Tour."
Joe, John's caretaker and potential vice-presidential candidate, bails McCain out of his chronic misstatements about foreign policy details. McCain is like Cheney in that his attitude is who cares about the specifics, we're America and we're going to beat "their" butts into the ground.
When Barack Obama says that McCain in the White House would be the third Bush term, he's certainly right on foreign policy. Except that McCain would be Bush and Cheney on steroids. McCain is determined to achieve "victory" over "them" (whoever "they" might be), because that is how he -- in large part -- defines his patriotism: the success of the extension of the American military empire is a basic assumption of the Pledge of Allegiance to hair-trigger John.
Long ago the Iraq and Afghansitan wars -- and the possible pending bombing of Iran -- basically stopped being accepted as being about defeating terrorism (that's why the difference between Shiites and Sunnis and their relationship to Iran don't really matter to McCain.) They are about the expansion of empire, and the "victory" over "them," third world wannabees who need to be crushed because they are in the way of the great and mighty American military machine.
Of course this myth of the omnipotence of military might combined with flag lapel pin nationalism leaves us even more vulnerable to terrorism, because terrorism is not the real target of this vast multi-trillion dollar military enterprise.
No McCain and Lieberman are not in Purim costumes -- but ironically Lieberman is hot to bomb Iran because the right wing Likudnicks in Israel fear that Iran will succeed in the annihilation of the Jews that Haman planned -- but they are ready to light a match and explode the Middle East powder keg, from "day one" if elected.
Joe and John remind us of the old Greek riddle: What has one leg in the morning, two legs in the day, and three legs at night? A baby, an adult, and an elderly person with a cane.
Except that McCain and Lieberman would have four legs at midnight as they would lead us into a nuclear Armageddon from which we might not awake, were they to be elected as the GOP "Dream Team."
That's if Cheney and Bush don't set the world on fire first.

Why aren't candidates subject to mental health & physical tests?
I guess most of our parents have taught us...
I totally agree.
Time for a constitutional amendment I'd say... The position of President of the United States is no place for someone with psychological "issues". Chimpy's presidency is the perfect example as to proof to support the need for such testing.
Ok, so the need is painfully obvious, now how do we get this ball rolling?
Stop wasting time...
Did you say Ego????
not a chance in a ****-load
back at you!!
I want to know why McCain is
They deserve each other
mccain/liberman
What the heck?
Blame Connecticut
No one escapes old
What a ticket!
Obama loves Liberman
Deborah, why the trash talk and lies?
You ought to be ashamed of posting such falsehoods.
Obama did NOT cross party lines to endorse Lieberman over Ned Lamont. He supported Lieberman in the Democratic primary. But so did Bill and Hillary Clinton and many other Democrats. Sen. Obama did NOT support Lieberman in the election.
Your comment is packed with other even more absurd falsehoods. For example, Sen. Obama never changed his name. He was born Barack Hussein Obama, (named after his father). Soetoro was not his "Christian" name. It was his Muslim (not Christian!) step-father's name. Barry was a nickname Obama used as a young school boy. Sen. Obama's legal name has always been Barack Obama.
Sen. Obama has taken what many feel is a fair and balanced position regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As can be expected, taking a fair position in this conflict is a certain way to be attacked by extremist Israelis and extremist Palestinians at the same time. And that of course provides ample material for rabid anti-Obama attack dogs to attack him as a "flip-flopper."
I don't know what issues you are talking about involving Blackwater in Illinois, but Sen. Obama has been a leader in Congress calling for new laws to finally hold the mercenary company responsible under U.S. and international laws.

And your attacking Barack Obama for not using his middle name on his web site is beyond malicious and stupid. Do you see Hillary Clinton 's middle name (Diane) on her web site? Do you see John McCain's middle name (Sydney) on his?
You should be ashamed for posting such anti-Obama drivel.
Seems your framing is skewed...
As far as "some sort of agreement" between Obama and "Blackwaters", if this is indeed true and not yet another round of mud slinging from the Billary campaign, or a rampant Billary supporter, where are your facts? How about posting a link to facts behind this alleged "agreement". Given just your statement, which by the way at face value sounds ludicrous, I only see more mud, not facts. If this were in fact true, I can't believe that the thousands of progressive bloggers out there would have jumped on it.
On the issue of the "Blackwaters" camp outside Chicago, can your obviously biased viewpoint and closed mind entertain the possibility that the Rethugs managed to place it there by acting under the radar as they so often do? Isn't it possible that neither Senator was aware of this happening due to the standard underhanded and secret dealings of the Neocons?
Have you actually spoken to these "Palestinian groups" you mention? Once again I have to ask "Where are your facts?". You state that Obama is "Pro-Zionist", but in following his campaign I have neither heard nor seen anything indicative that would support your allegation that he is "Pro-Zionist". What I have heard is Obama consistently talking about how we need to join together to improve our country and the world situation. Isn't it perhaps possible that he is in fact lending an ear to both sides in an attempt to allow for positive discourse on the issues surrounding BOTH sides? Why is it that you think it has to be one way or the other? You may be too closed minded to consider that possibility, but I truly doubt that problem exists in Barack Hussein Obama, Jr's (middle name included for your pleasure btw) mind. Oh and you'll note the "Jr" at the end of his name, OMG did he leave that out too? He MUST be the DEVIL incarnate!!!
Also, please do yourself a favor and LET THE MIDDLE NAME ISSUE GO. Focusing on the middle name issue only serves to illustrate ignorance and an affinity to supporting the right wing agenda of the obsfucation of facts with inconsequential issues. You say "me I am anti organized religion", but you jump to the issue of how he chose "to keep his Muslim name" over his Christian name. Had he chosen to use his "Christian name", don't you think the rethuglican shills would have jumped on the fact he wasn't using his birth name (what is he trying to hide they'd say)? Once again,a focus on errata as oppose to more important facts such as the actual issues he supports. Time and time again, Obama has stated and shown by action that he is CHRISTIAN, and even THAT gets him in trouble because the PASTOR at his church, not himself personally, has at times made inflammatory statements. Heck even McCrazy has made the statement that "It really doesn't matter.", but Billery keeps beating that dead horse as a last ditch attempt to win whether or not it damages the Democratic chances in the general election. As a question to you, do you ALWAYS include your middle name every time you place your name on something? If not, what are YOU trying to hide? Probably nothing I'd guess...
If anything gives McCrazy the victory in the upcoming general election it will be the lack of unity displayed by the Democratic party in this primary election and in the past as is evidenced by Billary's "win at all costs", and "kitchen sink" mentality. These actions will only prove to provide more fodder for the Rethugs to use to damage whichever Democratic candidate they end up running against in the general election.
In closing I have to say that for an Progressive Independent such as myself, I have always found that voting for any candidate can boil down to a "lesser of two evils" situation. There has never been a candidate (Senator Obama included) that has totally jived with all of my views. That's the challenge of voting and making a personal choice, you have to weigh ALL the issues and decide for yourself which candidate best represents the majority of issues you side with. It's just a fact of life not something we're forced into by any candidate.
PS. To other bloggers out there I apologize for the length of this post and for potentially feeding a troll. Thank you.
Thank You
Every senile senior needs a personal caretaker.
The context of this piece is EXACTLY what went through my mind when I saw the video bytes showing McCrazy and that pustule Lieberman at his side coaching him. I also thought that I was seeing evidence of Lieberman's positioning to be the Rethug's Vice Presidential candidate. "How appropriate, just like Chimpy and Darth Cheney." I thought, "Once again we have an incompetent mouthpiece running for President with his puppet master behind him." The only thing missing here is that Lieberman's arm wasn't up McCrazy's rectum...
In a way I feel it's somewhat unfortunate that if Obama ends up as the Democratic candidate for President, his wonderfully fresh campaign style of running on the issues as opposed to slinging mud will probably cause his campaign to avoid running scenes like this with a title like "Who's REALLY going to be the President if you vote for McCrazy." That being said, I still have to say that I am very impressed by the way that Obama is campaigning on issues and doing his best to avoid the usual mud slinging.
Now if the Dems could only pull together, maybe we'd have something...
PS, The photo in this piece should be used in a Buzzflash caption contest, given McCrazy's hand position...
Remember the Supreme Court when you vote, now and in November!
McCain/Liberman or McCain/Hillary either is a possibility and either would mean the end of the world, as we remember it from just 7 years ago.
These people want to bring about the End Times. Just say NO! God will do that in His time. Not in these war loving people's time. We need to bring peace to this world and we will not get that with people who are tied to the Military Industrial Complex. Remember, President Eisenhower's warning on that!
Also, never forget, that all Americans must not put a Republican back in the White House. Why? Number one reason: Supreme Court. I am amazed that those old people have hung on for this long. They may not make it another four. Think what we would give up if a Republican or even Hillary got the Presidency.
Please, please people. Think about the remaining Rights that they would take away. Vote like your life depends on it! Vote like America depends on it! Because your vote counts on these issues!
YES YES YES and...
Given the long term damage that this would do to our freedoms, this would be a horrendous situation.
VOTE and PRAY...
Kick him out...
Ah...
