The GOP Needs a Heaping Helping of 'Positive Punishment' With a Side of Brains Sprinkled With Facts -- Barbara's Daily Buzz

From President Obama:
I am just an eternal optimist... And all I can do is just to keep on making the argument about what’s right for the country and assume that over time, people, regardless of party, regardless of their particular political positions, are going to gravitate towards the truth.
I'm inclined to agree that "people will gravitate to the truth," but frankly these are Repuglicans and even though they resemble humans, I'm more inclined to say that for them something in the evolution process was interrupted and Repuglicans are stuck somewhere in that missing link!
Behavior modification theory states that when behavior is detrimental to others, it requires some "tough love," some "positive punishment" which would include: fogettabout the Repuglicans and pass the healthcare reform bill with a simple majority vote. Because it boils down to NO Repuglican "bipartisanship," or going ahead with what's best for the American people!
And so it goes, the dumbing down of America:
Sen. Inhofe's Family Builds Igloo for Gore.
It takes a bit of a brain to understand climate change, obviously something Inhofe and the rest of the Repuglicans are lacking. It's too bad that in the end it's our children and their children who will suffer the consequences of the Repuglican intentional or unintentional lack of understanding!
Come on! The "evil doer" is just begging to be prosecuted:
Cheney pronounced himself “a big supporter of waterboarding,” a near-drowning technique that has been regarded as torture back to the Spanish Inquisition and that has long been treated by U.S. authorities as a serious war crime...
On Sunday, Cheney acknowledged that the White House had told the Justice Department lawyers what legal opinions to render... the opinions amounted to ordered-up lawyering to permit the administration to do whatever it wanted.
Unless and until this man is prosecuted, the whole world will know that yes, there are some in America who really are above the law, who can get away with murder if they want! It's disgusting that this criminal is still walking around free as a bird, while the grunts in the military are behind bars for doing that which was ordered up by the free-as-a-bird higher-ups!
Puleezzee someone tell the Repuglicans and the teabaggers and Sarah Palin and mainstream corporate media to put this in your pipe and smoke it:
Judging Stimulus by Job Data Reveals Success.
Again I realize it takes a brain to understand the complexities, the ins and outs, the successes that President Obama has accomplished, but positive he has accomplished:
Just look at the outside evaluations of the stimulus. Perhaps the best-known economic research firms are IHS Global Insight, Macroeconomic Advisers and Moody’s Economy.com. They all estimate that the bill has added 1.6 million to 1.8 million jobs so far and that its ultimate impact will be roughly 2.5 million jobs. The Congressional Budget Office, an independent agency, considers these estimates to be conservative...
The stimulus package, flaws and all, deserves a big heaping of credit. “It prevented things from getting much worse than they otherwise would have been,” Nariman Behravesh, Global Insight’s chief economist, says. “I think everyone would have to acknowledge that’s a good thing.”
...much to the chagrin of the Repuglicans and all their followers. Now I know the Repuglicans all want to acknowledge brains, talent, and skill, given what they've offered the American people. But believe me, after eight long years of Repuglican rule, the eight years that gave us the worst terrorist attack ever on American soil, war and illegal war, torture and abuse, as well as no jobs, bank failures, deficits, and general all around chaos, and lest we not forget anthrax attacks which have never been resolved, we now have a president who can do the job, a man who has what it takes for America!
