Three Unarguable Reasons to Fire Congressional Republicans and the Real Reason for Bill-O's Homophobia -- Barbara's Daily Buzz

BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

The deficit blame game:

Republicans appeared to make the elementary mistake of believing their own ... um, propaganda...

House Republicans shouldn't have allowed the encounter to be televised. But then believing their own disinformation is basically what makes them Republicans.

That and thinking they're smarter than President Obama!  Now that we all know they aren't anywhere near as smart as they think they are, don'tcha think we should fire them, the whole lot?  After all they've spent the entire year on their behinds doing absolutely nothing but whining and complaining and saying NO! There isn't an employer in these United States that would put up with employees who don't do anything productive, who come to work to just stir up trouble, instigate strife and tell lies! Come to think of it, this bunch of Repuglicans are the laziest bunch of do-nothings ever in Washington, D.C.! Fire them!

Some more info from Gene Lyons that bears repeating over and over again, info we should never forget. We cannot afford to repeat these mistakes:

"...in 2000, when there was a budget surplus of $200 billion, you had a Republican administration and a Republican Congress, and we had two tax cuts that weren't paid for, you had a prescription drug plan -- the biggest entitlement plan... in several decades -- that was passed, without it being paid for, you had two wars that were done through supplementals [i.e., off-budget appropriations] and then you had $3 trillion projected because of the lost revenue of this recession."

...those are the facts. Two weeks before Obama was inaugurated, the Congressional Budget Office projected the 2009 deficit at $1.2 trillion, adding that due to the economic crisis the new administration also inherited, "collections from corporate income taxes are anticipated to decline by 27 percent and individual income taxes by 8 percent; in normal economic conditions, they would both grow." Mandated spending on unemployment insurance, food stamps, etc., increased...

A December 2009 analysis by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities concluded that the Bush administration's fiscal legacy "explain(s) virtually the entire deficit over the next 10 years."

Lest we forget, these are the same "...Republicans who stayed focused on Bill Clinton's zipper"!  Fire them!

Got Homophobia? Bill O'Reilly Doesn’t Want Gays In The Military To Be "Coming Out"

Honestly after a while it gets downright damned ridiculous -- all these really ugly homophobic men running around believing they are so attractive to every gay guy out there! Could it be, could it actually be these homophobes are the ones who are attracted to the gay guys? Methinks they doth protest too much: Bill, John, Saxby, Jeff, and on and on and on!

OMG, what was once a body of distinguished lawmakers, turns out to be nothing more than a bunch of legal blackmailers holding up the business of the country for their own personal gain

You've seen the reports that Sen. Richard Shelby (R) of Alabama has taken the perhaps unprecedented step of placing holds on ALL of President Obama's nominees until he gets the money for a couple of big earmarked pork barrel projects he feels entitled to back in his home state...

Gimme my money and I'll give you your Senate back!

Now that's some arrogance, certainly nothing to be proud of, but then it's Richard Shelby, Repuglican of Alabama, what more could be expected?  He may be able to get away with legal blackmail, but I'd say it's time for justice to be served: Fire him! And if the rest of the senators allow this kind of blackmail to continue, then I say, "Fire the whole lot of them, wipe the slate clean and begin anew!"

rethugs

Dems need to fight instead of bending over and grabbing their ankles.  With the newly release rethug budget plan to cut social security and medicare, now this, the dems need to make these their every day talking points and identify these rethugs by name.  Especially any time any rethug talks about earmarks and deficit sending.  McCain should be singled out since he likes the massses to think of him as against earmarks and pork spending the dems and the weak MSM need to call that old fool out and make him take a stand..for or against Sshelby.  But I doubt this will happen, the old boys club is too friendly to call another gangster out.  Dems grow some b*lls before the rethugs take over the senate and rule by reconciliation not the foolish 60 vote crap.  They ruled with 51 votes and told the dems to STFU and the dems cowarded in the corner.

New Dems

The more Democratic retirements, the better. Clears the way for new Dems* who, as primary challengers to entenched DINO'S, wouldn't have a chance against the party machine - and they'd stand a better-than-equal chance against Repub candidates for open seats.

We need new Dems who are unafraid to use the ammo at their very fingertips, which is - after all - only the truth. Repubs, by contrast, have only lies and paranoid conspiracy theories, or else more of the same tax-cuts-and-unregulated-free-market "solutions" that got us where we are.

Call your DINO today and urge their retirement (reminding them of the far more lucrative jobs no doubt awaiting them in the private sector).

*Uninfected with Democrats' Disease (clinically known as either "Spinus Minimitis" or "Meekus  Maximosis"), symptoms of which are an unreasonable fear of offending anyone but the base, leading to a tendency to cave.

Can we please clone 99 more Al Frankens?

In Addition

I'm willing to accept a few more Bernie Sanders as well.

fire the gop

Hi, Barbara!

Definitely, fire them all!!  Who says  "No" to everything?  Let me think - two-year-olds!  We should send the repugs home with a note from the teacher about their bad behavior and not let them back into government until they grow up!
