BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

If ever you thought Sarah Palin and those who adore her were a bit loopy, bordering on crazzzy, guess what, she is and they are. "Palin comes from that world of hysterical paranoid delusion. It's her attraction to the people who like her. God has "raised her up for such a time as this" they believe.... The momentum toward what amounts to a broad Palin-loving subculture seceding from the union (in order to await "The End") and/or a time when the U.S. government quits taxing us, is irrevocably prying loose a chunk of the American population from both sanity and their fellow citizens. If you think Palin's fans are nuts; they are. If you think the teabaggers are odd; they are. The theology of the "End" is behind both..." Do you really want someone who believes that "The End" is here with her finger on the nuclear doomsday button???

Psychology tells us if children don't get positive favorable attention, they will go for the negative and there are those adults in this world who are so ugly inside and out that they will never get any positive attention, no matter what they do, so they go for the negative over and over again. The most descriptive and accurate phrase for Rush Limbaugh is "ugly is as ugly does," and he's got ugly down pat! It should be said for Limbaugh, "you will know him by the evil deeds he sows"!

Who says you can't change history -- Texas and the conservatives are proof positive you can change history and make of it whatever you want it to be! "...The social conservative bloc is pressing for the standards to turn Joseph McCarthy into an American hero,... A requirement to teach America's 'Christian or Biblical heritage' is one of the other clauses conservatives may try to get into the standards," And just in case you don't care what they do in Texas, "...the state represents one of two largest markets in the country, publishers tailor their books to the Texas standards. Those same textbooks are then sold in smaller states around the country." Ah yes, when the truth isn't what you want then revise history and make of it what you do want! And that's how they try to make the Repuglican Party look good!

"There is an obvious disconnect between President Obama and the White House, what they are doing to our economy and what they are doing in terms of not allowing Americans to feel as safe as we had felt," so says Sarah Palin. Palin is a prime example of "disconnected," disassociated, and brainless! She believes that whatever she says and does is dictated by God and so she too is divine! (An anecdote here: there was a time that I supervised a halfway house for the emotionally disturbed -- we had a patient who in the beginning believed with all her heart and soul she was married to Jesus Christ, boy was she disappointed when she finally came to the realization she was married to just plain old Fred!)

If ever you wondered why, why, why all you have to do is look at what, what, what we've done -- "How did Haiti get so poor? Despite a century of American colonialism, occupation, and propping up corrupt dictators? Even though the CIA staged coups d'état against every democratically elected president they ever had?" Granted that is past history, but look at what is happening today -- "American companies like Disney generously pay wages to their sweatshop workers of 28 cents an hour." Does anyone really want to go to Disney World???
