BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

With all this talk about what John McCain did or didn't know about Sarah Palin, I find it amazing that people are so quick to forget! Doesn't anyone remember that John McCain will do anything for a vote, he compromised his so-called "ideals" to acquire the votes he so desperately sought wherever he could find them! "McCain Courts Secret Radical Religious Conservative Group For Support In Presidential Bid"!!! John McCain picked Sarah Palin for Vice President of the United States of America because the far right, the ultra conservative so called "Christian" right promised their support of his candidacy if he chose Palin! "The members of the Council for National Policy are the hidden hand behind McCain's Palin pick." The only qualification that counted was her religious affiliation and McCain went for the vote and not for her "qualifications"! So much for statesmanship, so much for integrity, the good of the country was thrown to the wind so John McCain could acquire a vote!

Tucker Carlson's new Web site is officially named "The Daily Caller," but having remembered Carlson from his days on the old CNN's "Crossfire," it would be more apt if the site was named Repuglican Propaganda with the caveat, will say or do anything far to the right for money! All the talk about whether the site will be "right-leaning or centrist" is just a teaser to attract the unwitting and boost his log on numbers. Actually Tucker Carlson is boringly predictable and logging on will be nothing more than a waste of time! It would be wise to remember, "...last spring he told the right-wing site Human Events that he envisioned the site as providing a 'vital message, goal and crusade'"! Bingo -- "Repuglican Propaganda"!

Brit Hume missed his calling -- with all his recent proselytizing, it's obvious he should have become a missionary, a minister or a priest, or a monk, or a brother, something where his "good works" would really be appreciated! His Tiger Woods endeavors just goes to show the whole world he's much better at preaching than he has ever been at anchoring the news! "Yesterday, Brit Hume again reiterated that he stands by his statement that Tiger Woods should convert to Christianity if he wants 'redemption...'" It's time for a change, Brit, go and do what you do best, go and counsel those who need your advice!

The "Tea Party" movement will undoubtedly attract the gun carrying, rebel rousing anti-government fringe! It will also attract the fringe groups who are biased bigots, those who endorse intolerance to the nth degree. However, they will not be able to convince those people who have the brainpower to think beyond the ends of their noses, those people who believe in a strong government of the people, by the people and for the people! Terrorism is not limited to foreigners, unfortunately we can find them right here at home, people who will actually blow up federal buildings if given a chance, people who don't really care who gets killed in the process! Sad to say America is fraught with domestic terrorists willing to conduct murder and mayhem whenever and wherever they can!

In remembering the brouhaha about John Kerry and Botox and now after watching Mitch McConnell recently on several different television channels offering up his opinions on one thing and another it struck me that he has no wrinkles, and several places on his face don't move -- for instance his forehead, his upper lip, nothing really moves anywhere on his face! Is this what's called a "stiff upper lip" in the face of adversity? Is he so composed as to not have any emotional facial expression at all when he speaks? Is this a case of "only your plastic surgeon knows for sure," or could it really be "Botox anyone"???
