"It is a well-known fact in Washington that then Vice President Cheney proudly micro-managed all things Gitmo (authorizing torture and determining detainee releases).... let it be clearly understood that Al Qaeda's resurgence in Yemen can, in no small part, be traced back to Dick Cheney himself. In 2007, then Vice President Dick Cheney personally authorized the release of 11 Saudis from Guantanamo Bay...Two of the 11 former detainees took the express jihadi underground railroad to rejoin Al Qaeda in Yemen." It leaves one wondering was this a colossal Cheney "mistake" or was it by design in order to continue the Repuglican quest to "dominate the world"???

"The Republican Party is still unpopular." Well duh, could it be because the Repuglicans started this whole mess in the first place! It's called the Repuglican "trickle down" effect -- Reduce taxes on the very rich, stop the flow of governmental finances making it impossible for the states to balance their budgets, and thus begins the inevitable middle-class tax increases, from state income taxes to property taxes, to school taxes, hospital authority taxes, taxes on goods and services, even taxing the food we eat, we the middle-class will bear the burden of the Repuglican wrong headed "trickle down" ideology! An ideology designed to eliminate the middle-class and make a majority of the American people paupers, beholden to those who ultimately control the purse strings! It certainly didn't generate any jobs, tax cuts for the very rich was the beginning of the closest we've come to another great depression! And that's the Repuglican concept on how to control the masses and maintain power!

Hmm, every time Rudy Giuliani gets his mug on TV to pontificate on his "opinions," it is more and more evident that it's possible he's suffering these days from "early onset of dementia"! Forgetting about the worst terrorist attack ever on American soil, that day when he was all over all the television stations is indeed a symptom of memory loss! These kinds of gaffes should spell the end of any possibility of political office for Rudy, no matter his wife's ambitions! He would be doing himself and us a favor if he would just fade into the background never to be heard from again!

Repuglicans keep trying to revise history because their actual history isn't conducive to "re-election"! "In all the nonsense today about Trent Lott's forced resignation over the Strom Thurmond comments, one thing is getting missed. Whatever you think of Lott's comments, he didn't resign because of anything Democrats said. He resigned because President Bush and Karl Rove wanted him out and forced him out. He was never their preferred guy. And they used the opportunity of the brouhaha to force his exit." There you have it, the truth Rove and Bush didn't want Lott, so they forced his resignation, the Repuglican leadership got rid of the Repuglican leadership!
