BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE
Ahhhh yes, I remember the America that I once knew, an America when there was a separation of church and state, a secular America where men and women could choose their own private way to worship. A secular America where everyone respected their neighbors religious choices, whether they be Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddist, and yes, even Atheist! It's a fact that the forefathers of America came here to escape the chaos and confusion, the murder and mayhem that religion was causing in their respective nations of birth, something similar to the hatred and hostility, the fear and loathing that religion is causing in today's America! The lies and slander, the actions and reactions coming from all the different factions is not the same kind of religious love and acceptance that was once the fabric of America. The far right has succeeded in blurring the line between church and state, they've made politics and religion one and the same, and if allowed to continue, we'll all be facing the horrors of another Inquisition!
"Billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch are the wealthiest, and perhaps most effective, opponents of President Obama's progressive agenda. They have been looming in the background of every major domestic policy dispute this year. Ranked as the 9th richest men in America, the Koch brothers sit at the helm of Koch Industries, a massive privately owned conglomerate of manufacturing, oil, gas, and timber interests... Over the years, millions of dollars in Koch money has flowed to various right-wing think tanks, front groups, and publications. At the dawn of the Obama presidency, Koch groups quickly maneuvered to try to stop his first piece of signature legislation: the stimulus. The Koch-funded group "No Stimulus" launched television and radio ads deriding the recovery package as simply "pork" spending. The Cato Institute -- founded by Charles -- as well as other Koch-funded think tanks such as the Heritage Foundation, produced a blizzard of reports distorting the stimulus and calling for a return to Bush-style tax cuts to combat the recession." Tax cuts to make these guys richer and poor people poorer, that's the radical right's ideology, their agenda, and their insatiable desire for power! This is how Dick Cheney can continue to receive applause for his lies, this is how the very rich can buy and sell politicans and how ding-bat Repuglicans get elected, this is how we the people are being fed a bunch of bull so that these people can destroy all that is good in America!
It's no wonder CNN is lagging behind in the ratings -- giving these two losers, these two war mongers, John McCain and Joe Liberman all the time in the world to pontificate on their wrong headed opinions is such a waste, they are so uninteresting that to listen longer than 2 minutes is the folly of even the brain dead in this country! Here you have McCain promoting war, war, and more war, along with his side kick LIEberman as though their opinions have some validity, it is the biggest waste of time ever for the American people and CNN should be ashamed of such foolishness! All I can think is these are two egotestical Mutts with no Jeff, they are perfect examples of "short man's syndrome"!
They say if something is said often enough, after a while it is accepted as fact, whether true or not! Over the years, there has been a lot of talk about "reducing taxes on small business in order to create jobs," and "small business in America is where the jobs are." While there is some truth in this concept, have you ever wondered why these guys in Washington say it over and over again, have you ever wondered why these same politicians don't talk about industrial jobs, or jobs produced by big business, ever thought about why we are no longer the industrial leaders in the world that we were at one time? Could it be that the Repuglicans made moving jobs to countries that provide cheap labor a dream come true for Corporate America??? Could it be that doing so has made us less safe than we were at one time? If you're really interested in who and what has made this country vulnerable and less safe -- take a long look at the Repuglican Party and see what they've really done to the infrastructure that once made America strong. Tough talk is cheap, and it does nothing for the actual strength we once had, talk doesn't bring back railroads, the production of steel, or the auto industry, or the textile industry, or, or, or! In trying to make America dependent on the Repuglican ideology and fatten the bank accounts of the very rich, the Repuglicans have actually managed to weaken and destroy all that made this the greatest country in the world -- the strength of a nation is its people, and we the people must stop the Repuglican calculated assult on the American people, by voting them out, by getting rid of them in Washington, D.C.!
