BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

"At a certain point, a president must own a presidency. For George W. Bush, that point came eight months in when 9/11 happened. From that point on, the presidency -- all his decisions, all the credit and blame for them -- was his." Actually his presidency belonged to him the day he ignored the August 6 PDB, and all the death and destruction that occurred after that was 100% his! The American people should have held him responsible for everything he did or didn't do leading up to 9-11 and thereafter! George Bush under the guidance of Dick Cheney created the biggest disasters we've ever had as a country! In 8 years, they destroyed every bit of morality that was once America, worse than Nixon, they created an atmosphere of fear and loathing such as never before in the American government! It will be a long time and a rather large miracle to undo the damage Bush/Cheney did! Unlike the foreign created "rubble" of 9-11, today's "rubble" is the direct result of the Bush/Cheney incompetence! So to all the conservatives who are attempting to shift the blame and revise history -- stuff it!

"...children without health insurance are far more likely to succumb to their illnesses than those with medical coverage." The biggest sin of all in a government who purposefully ignores the needs of its people in hopes of gaining political points is -- "Lack of Health Care Led to 17,000 US Child Deaths"! So much for that "America first" crowd. They apparently don't care when it comes to healthcare for America's children and America's poor! When political greed and buckets of cash surpass the basic needs of the American people, it becomes an outrageous abomination! Tell Joe Lieberman and the rest of his cronies to "stick it"! America's children before politician's greed!

"Louisiana psychologist and retired US Army Col. Dr. Larry C. James, a former high-ranking adviser on interrogations for the US military in Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghraib...publicly available information shows that while Dr. James was at Guantanamo, abuse in interrogations was widespread, and cruel and inhuman treatment was official policy." Sounds as though Larry C. James could use a little couch time himself! Ordering up torture and abuse is the act of a sadist, and one wonders what gratification those who ordered it up derived from such actions! Approving torture and abuse is not only morally and ethically wrong, but there is an element of criminal wrong doing if you believe in the international laws that help to guarantee some modicum of stability in an otherwise volatile world! America will bear the burden of this horror unless and until those who approved torture and abuse are held responsible!

If you think for one minute FOX is biased, just wait until the truth is stifled completely by the Repuglicans limiting the public's access to the real news on the Internet! Step back and imagine a FOX-styled Internet only worse!
