BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

Beginning to wonder if there's an honest man, besides Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) left in Washington??? Always thought Evan Bayh was one of the good guys, but -- "Sen. Evan Bayh joined his colleague Joe Lieberman in suggesting that he may oppose health-care reform, citing concerns about the deficit." But whose "deficit" is he talking about hmm, "is his stance...affected by the fact that his wife has reportedly earned at least $2 million over the last six years as a member of the board of a major health insurer? Susan Bayh's affiliation with Indianapolis-based WellPoint isn't news...a new report on TheStreet .... finds that last year, Susan Bayh sat on four other corporate boards, in addition to WellPoint's. She received over $656,0000 in cash and stock for all her board work, around half of which came from WellPoint. As the site puts it: 'Susan Bayh's corporate directorships provide a significant chunk of the Bayh family income.'" So much for the "good guys"!!!

"Congress Expands Hate Crime Bill Despite Right-Wing Opposition..... Republicans cited the illegality of violent attacks, regardless of motive, as reason not to pass what they considered superfluous legislation. Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) called the new law 'Orwellian' and a step toward 'thought crime,' as prosecution for attack would require ascribing a motive to the attacker..." "Me-thinks he doth protest too much" So just exactly what is DeMint thinking, what's on his mind??? It's about time this nation recognizes hate in all its forms and when hate motivates criminal acts of violence! The political environment is full of hate filled speech that borders on incitement, are the Repuglicans hoping that spreading hate will help them regain power??? Do the Repuglicans realize their brand of politics could in some circles be considered "terrorism"? By definition -- "terrorism-noun -- 1. the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes. 2. the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization. 3. a terroristic method of governing or of resisting a government." Ring any bells, remind you of any of the hate being pedaled as "freedom of speech" lately??? Just exactly what is America doing about terrorists and terrorism these days????

"Vice President George H. W. Bush confided in Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev that he believed Ronald Reagan was an 'extreme conservative' supported by 'blockheads and dummies'." While Reagan was an "extreme conservative," his advisers were even more to the right-wing extremists! They used the early stages of Reagan's illness to promote their own agenda, as evidenced by his most infamous speech to the American people, regarding the Iran/Contra scandal! George H. W. Bush was one of those who used Reagan for his own political purposes, and G.H.W. Bush is a couple of light bulbs less than normal himself, where do you think G.W. came from, like father, like son! And yes both Reagan, Bush one and Bush two were surrounded by and supported by "blockheads and dummies," otherwise known as the Repuglican base! The irony in all this is the Repuglican leadership today including those in the House, the Senate, the Governors; as well as the Rogue and Maverick Repuglicans who've infiltrated every aspect of government and society are the same "blockheads and dummies" as their base! To G.H.W. it's safe to say "it takes one to know one"!

And Yes Jon Stewart is the most trusted television personality in America! Diplomacy certainly outweighs war and destruction any day!

FOX NEWS a major conglomeration of "blockheads and dummies" supporting the Repuglican Party! Take the pledge, boycott FOX, turn off the propaganda! Certainly the "Freedom of Speech" clause in the Constitution does not mean the freedom to lie, lie, lie, and lie some more! It's time for the truth, and the truth is FOX is nothing more than opinionated right-wing propaganda!
