BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

Hmmm -- "KING: Is our commander-in-chief dithering? HATCH: Well, I would never want to call my president dithering." But since your question has given me an opening to do so, "HATCH -- why not follow the advice of all of his generals and especially General McChrystal...we're exposing our young men and women over there -- a number of them have been killed, I'm not blaming the president for that, but we're exposing them without the proper help that they've just got to have." Why oh why wasn't HATCH as concerned when Bush/Cheney opted to leave Afghanistan, and not finish what they started in order to invade Iraq, just think of the hundreds of thousands of lives that could have been saved had the Repuglicans spoken up back then! The Repuglicans are slime balls, whining now, and never admitting they started this whole mess because they actually wanted to rule the Earth!!!

Representative Alan Grayson (D-FL) nails it again!!! "'I have trouble listening to what [Cheney] says sometimes because of the blood that drips from his teeth while he's talking,' the Florida Democrat said on MSNBC's Hardball Friday night. 'But my response is this: he's just angry because the president doesn't shoot old men in the face. But by the way, when he was done speaking, did he just then turn into a bat and fly away?'" Hooray for Rep. Grayson, he knows exactly how to describe these despicable Repuglicans!!! It's time to seriously look at the war crimes that were committed during the Bush/Cheney years and I opt for Representative Grayson to chair an investigative panel, that way we'll know we're getting the truth!

Although all of this may be unbelievable -- it is happening everyday down in Texas; "You need to understand that while so many Texans...are fighting the good fight in the Judge Justice tradition, others believe in the law only when it sides with them. They long for the good old days of Judge Roy Bean, the saloonkeeper whose barroom court was known in the frontier days as 'the law west of the Pecos.' His judicial philosophy was simple: 'Hang 'em first, try 'em later.' The present governor of Texas seems to be channeling Judge Bean. During his nine years in office, Rick Perry has presided over more than 200 executions, dwarfing the previous record of 152 set by his predecessor in the Governor's Mansion, George W. Bush." And even more horrific than his legacy of death by lethal injection is the latest to come out of Texas -- Gov. Perry may have sent an innocent man to die and then tried his damnedest to cover it up!!!

* * *

In keeping with the Texas "hang 'em first, try 'em later" theme, there's also another good example why a separation of church and state is an absolute necessity! "Lethal injection is practically a religious ritual in Texas. In fact, before their sentencing verdict that will send Khristian Oliver to die in just a couple of weeks -- on November 5, to be exact -- jurors in the East Texas town of Nacogdoches consulted the Bible and found what they were looking for in the Book of Numbers, where it reads, 'The murderer shall surely be put to death,' and, 'The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer.' Although it was noted that referencing holy writ was an inappropriate 'external influence,' two appeals courts upheld the jury's sentence and the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear the case." It is an abomination that the overly religious, overly conservative Supreme Court of the United States refused to hear this case! THEOCRACY here comes the United States of America!!!

Memo to Minnesotans -- Gov. Pawlenty wants to continue the healthcare status quo -- bankruptcy due to medical bills your insurance won't cover, death to those who can't afford insurance, seniors in the "doughnut hole" who must choose between medicine or food or dying, etc. Pawlenty of plenty is not cognizant of what it means not to have insurance, obviously he has health insurance, the question becomes 'is insurance provided by the state, as part of the Governors benefit package'??? Does he have a similar taxpayer provided insurance as does members of the United States Congress who seem to have no trouble "dithering" around with healthcare reform, while people are dying in America??? Enquiring minds would like to know since, it's easy for the Repuglicans to deny services for others, when their healthcare services are provided by the taxpayers!
