BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

"Subject: Why Chicago Lost the Olympics" It's all that and more -- actually mainstream corporate media from the time it was aired that President Obama was going to Copenhagen to put in his bid for the Olympics in Chicago, the media also aired that the people in Chicago didn't want the Olympics. There was negative publicity surrounding the whole deal -- "it wouldn't benefit the people of Chicago," "it would cost the Illinois taxpayers too much money"! Do you really think the Olympics would want to come where the media made clear (rightly or wrongly) the Olympics weren't wanted!

John McCain's time has come and gone! His choice of Sarah Palin for a running mate should tell the American people that he's really getting dotty in his old age. Retirement would be the kindest thing he could do for himself and for the American people. His opinion is certainly old news and without value any more! He's no Maverick, he's just another predictable Repuglican spoiler, which does nothing at all for the American people!

Have just been informed by a relative who recently had surgery for breast cancer that for the next six months, she will need a combination of chemo and radiation treatments. The chemo will be every 3 weeks for the entire 6 months, that's 8 chemo tx.! The eye opener and the real need for health care reform is -- the day after every chemo tx, she will need an injection, an injection that will not be covered by her insurance costing $4,000 for each injection, that's a total of $32,000! Just in case you're still wondering about healthcare reform, that's $32,000 just for post chemo injections; it doesn't include any of the other uncovered by insurance costs for treatment. As long as we are willing to accept the Repuglican status quo, it will remain the American pay the money or die healthcare system!

Obviously the Repuglicans are not going to wake up, obviously they're so tied into their negativity, they cannot come out of that fog and realize that America is fed up with the appalling Repuglican down and dirty politics. Americans are tired of the lies, the scandal, and the same strategies and tactics practiced by these Repuglicans over and over again! It's way past time for a change, and yes we can accomplish that change. History shows it always takes a Democrat to dig America out of the mud the Repuglicans created!

The negativity of the Repuglicans is soooo predictable, it's always the same ole same ole just say NO! Eric Cantor is just another "my way or the highway" Repuglican weenie! It's hard to take him seriously, he sounds more like a 6th grader always whining about not getting his way. You know what he's going to say before he says it and it's always negative. If only the Repuglicans would put all that negative energy into something positive and work with the Democrats for the good of the American people, then it could be said this Congress is doing the job they were hired to do!
