BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

Not only is Representative Joe Wilson (R-SC) an offensive boor, but also he's stupid!!! "On a 2002 live broadcast of the C-SPAN talk show Washington Journal, guests Wilson and Democratic congressman Bob Filner were discussing Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. When Filner stated that the U.S. 'gave' Iraq 'chemical and biological weapons' in the 1980s, Wilson accused Filner that the idea was 'made up' and commented to Filner 'This hatred of America by some people is just outrageous. And you need to get over that.' Wilson apologized for his remarks in statements to the press." It has been common knowledge for some time now, that indeed America did support Iraq during the Iraq/Iran war! "Support from the U.S. for Iraq was not a secret and was frequently discussed in open session of the Senate and House of Representatives, although the public and news media paid little attention. On June 9, 1992, Ted Koppel reported on ABC's Nightline, 'It is becoming increasingly clear that George Bush, operating largely behind the scenes throughout the 1980s, initiated and supported much of the financing, intelligence, and military help that built Saddam's Iraq into' the power it became', and 'Reagan/Bush administrations permitted -- and frequently encouraged -- the flow of money, agricultural credits, dual-use technology, chemicals, and weapons to Iraq.'"

"Obama said he remains ready to listen to all ideas but added in a clear reference to Republicans, "I will not waste time with those who have made the calculation that it's better politics to kill this plan than to improve it." Sorry to tell you Mr. President but the Repuglicans just want to see you fail, they want to "break you"! Unfortunately, for all their rhetoric, for all their feigned patriotism, the Repuglicans really don't care about America or the American people, they only care about power and the money they can gain from that power! There are NO statesmen in the Repuglican Party anymore, there are only greedy, power-hungry pathetic bullies!

For God's sake, "'I was incredibly disappointed in the tone of his speech,' said Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).' At times, I found his tone to be overly combative and believe he behaved in a manner beneath the dignity of the office. I fear his speech tonight has made it more difficult -- not less -- to find common ground. He appeared to be angry at his critics and disappointed the American people were not buying the proposals he has been selling. ... If the Obama administration and congressional Democrats go down this path and push a bill on the American people they do not want, it could be the beginning of the end of the Obama presidency.'" This is one guy who doesn't have any room to talk about "dignity." Graham is just a "slick tongued" Repuglican attempting to project Repuglican behavior on to the President! The only anger I've seen thus far are those radical right-wing nuts that includes the entire Repuglican Party! Repuglicans are nothing more than a bunch of pathetic bullies with a personal agenda. They don't give a rat's a*s about the American people! Can't help but remember this is the same Lindsey Graham who bragged about buying rugs for $5 at the market in Iraq, when accompanied by a whole bunch of heavily armed American soldiers!!!

"Wilson's outburst was designed by the GOP corporate PR fronts to distract media coverage following Obama's cogent and compelling remarks to Congress." Of course it was planned, there is no "liberal" mainstream corporate media anymore! There's only a group of corporations protecting the money-making commercials and ads that contribute to their "bottom line"! It's legal blackmail and it's been around for a long long time! They've propagated and perpetrated the myth of a "liberal" media in order to scam the American people, it's nothing more than a psychological scam! America needs to wake up, these guys are doing their very best to eliminate the middle-class in this country, they're doing their very best to silence the voice of Democracy! Their goal is to destroy Democracy in the U.S. and thus begin their quest to rule the world! If the Repuglicans and the corporations are allowed to continue, it ain't gonna be America anymore!

"Subject: Death Panels" One of the best mailbag letters of all time! This guy has got the foolishness of the radical right down pat and he did it with humor! Thanks to Brian from Toronto for the belly laugh! In fact I'm still laughing and find the day much brighter after re-reading Brian's post!
