BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

If there is such a thing as the "anti-Christ," if one truly believes in an anti-Christ, then there must be thousands upon thousands of them, because it's obvious a whole lot of people claiming to be Christians in this country aren't practicing the edicts Jesus came and taught. Thinking about the Ten Commandments -- Thou shalt not lie, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods, etc. etc. etc.! All things that many who claim to be Christian including the Repuglicans have not paid any attention to whatsoever! In fact, the Repuglicans tell lies to steal elections, and along the way Repuglican aduterers, Repuglicans having an extra-marital affair protest the loudest regarding everyone else's extra-marital affairs. Correct me if I'm wrong the Repuglicans with their lies and all the back-biting fairy tale stories, they make up are certainly showing how much they covet the majority in Congress and the Presidency of the United States! Repuglicans act more like gang-lords fighting turf wars than Representatives of the people doing the people's business!

A true story -- regarding healthcare and the bottom line profits -- an RN friend back in the very late '80's was thinking of going into the "home health care" business. In the process of gathering the necessary literature, demographics, projections, the need, etc. for that business, she received a projection paper that said one cancer patient will generate $80 thousand a year in cancer related treatment, $80 thousand per person per year for treatment. Healthcare has become a business in these United States and a very expensive business for the consumer. The consumer's bottom line is pay for it or die!

"JOHN KING, CNN CHIEF NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT: Just before the inauguration, the president had a dinner in your honor. And he said you're an American hero and a guy who reached across the aisle. And that is the tone he wanted to set when he came to Washington. On this point has he failed the test he laid out at that dinner to be truly bipartisan? SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, (R) ARIZONA: I'm afraid they have..." "They have? They have?" It's the Repuglicans who have failed. The Repuglicans don't want change, they want to continue to rob the coffers of the United States taxpayers, to pay off their big business friends, they want it all for themselves, and if they can't have it they don't want anyone to, certainly not the American people! President Obama has extended a hand more than once, he has been congenial and open to these money grubbing, power hungry Repuglican dirty politicians since the get go! The best change for Washington and the American people would be to get rid of the Repuglican Party altogether, then the American people will finally see some things getting done in Washington, D.C.

"KING:...You have several Republicans, friends of yours, Chuck Grassley from Iowa, also in the room, in the Finance Committee negotiations. If they come out, the three or four Republicans in those negotiations come out say, "We have a deal that's acceptable to us," does that automatically make it acceptable to John McCain?" "Negotiations" my rear end, it's the Repuglican stall stall stall so they can kill kill kill the bill. We've seen it before and we'll certainly see it again, anything that's good for the people of the United States is bad for the Repuglicans in Washington, D.C. Don't let the Repuglicans do it again, don't let them kill the healthcare bill -- America desperately needs healthcare reform if the "status-quo" is allowed to continue those who don't have insurance will increase by the millions, healthcare will only be available to the very rich and then the Repuglicans will ultimately be responsible for the deaths of all the people who can't afford healthcare!

Yesterday while in the kitchen listening to the TV news shows coming from the living room and all the gobbledygook that was being said, I hollered to my husband, "since when do you have FOX NEWS on the tube"??? His reply -- "I don't, it's CNN." And yet some still think we have a "liberal" news media!
