BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

"TVNewser has learned that Dobbs' outside publicists pitched The O'Reilly Factor producers for the CNN host to appear on Fox News." Walter Cronkite they aren't -- the "news" has become 24/7 trash talk!

"CNN president tells a whopper in his defense of Dobbs" Not surprising since CNN has been Repuglican biased for sometime now. It certainly ain't the CNN it was when Ted Turner was in charge and that's really not a good thing at all! No longer is there a "liberal" media in America, it can't even be said there's an objective media, what we have is a rear end backside kissing mainstream corporate media by conservatives, for conservatives, and of conservatives!

"Boston police officer Justin Barrett, 36-years-old, has been put on administrative leave after he used offensive language when referring to Harvard professor Henry Gates in an e-mail" Finally proof positive that racism can be found everywhere in these United States -- including police departments! Where did you think "racial profiling" started!

The Washington Post doing what they've been doing best -- continuing their love affair with and covering up for George W. Bush and his minions! "The Washington Post endorses Abu Ghraib scapegoating for torture" Conservatives have such convoluted loyalties -- they will always protect their monied friends and to hell with the little guy (obviously that includes the military grunts and some CIA agents who were only following orders)! Investigate and prosecute the little guy at the bottom of the chain and let the ones who dreamed up the horror of anti-Constitution torture go free! Frankly the "good faith belief" excuse doesn't excuse ordering up torture! Justice can only be achieved when there is a frogmarch!

The Repuglicans don't give a tinker's damn about the American people -- all they want is power! Repuglicans will try and kill the health care bill because they see it as a conduit to return to power and continue their goal of annihilating the middle-class! Repuglicans don't want the middle class to thrive, they want to control the people in order to further their own ambitions to dominate the world!

should be "try TO kill." The former is ungrammatical kids' phraseology, the mark of childish writing. Really, I've had it with your exclamation-point abusive, juvenile essays (essayer: in French, to try) and will be skipping them from this point on, since frankly they depress me and are not worthy of this otherwise top-notch publication. (I can't resist speculating:Are you related to someone at Buzzflash? a kid sister? maybe an intern?) Finally, before I go, I recommend Salon's Glenn Greenwald's top (later) entry for today, an example of superb, persuasive rhetoric for your inspiration. Note: I said "inspiration," not "aspiration," since it is neither possible nor advisable to copy the style of another. As you read him, linger on his precise language, the absolutely correct words to express his arguments, which are so precise and so correct as to render utterly pointless but the bare minimum punctuation. He knows, as apparently you do as well, that underlying excessive punctuation is the fear that the words themselves are not strong enough, convincing enough to suffice, which is why he never resorts to them and you constantly do. In fact, were you to drop simply that habit, to rely on the words alone for emphasis, the quality of your endeavors would improve significantly, and you would be free to concentrate on the other faulty components of your body of work. Anyway, goodbye to you and please do consider growing up, as stagnation is a very sad thing.
