BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

Warning if you don't like some off-color references, don't read any further! One more thing that can be said for Walter Cronkite that cannot be said for any of today's celebrity Pete and RePete teleprompter reading news anchors, Walter Cronkite certainly had some balls -- he told the truth no matter what, he was an honest man with a truckload of integrity! He didn't care who and/or what he exposed with the truth -- We have been too often disappointed by the optimism of the American leaders, both in Vietnam and Washington, to have faith any longer in the silver linings they find in the darkest clouds. . . . "For it seems now more certain than ever that the bloody experience of Vietnam is to end in a stalemate. . . . To say that we are closer to victory today is to believe, in the face of the evidence, the optimists who have been wrong in the past" -- Walter Cronkite, CBS Evening News, February 27, 1968." If only cloning were legal, because America could really use a whole lot of Walter Cronkites!

"Poll: Great hopes for Obama fade to reality" It looks like the lemmings have again fallen for the Repuglican negativity and the Repuglican psychologically based attacks on President Obama and his intention to improve conditions for the American people. We see mainstream corporate media aiding and abetting the Repuglican contrived effort to "break" President Obama and thus screw the public! Wake up America the same bunch of power hungry greedy Repuglicans that created the chaos and the madness in the first place are now telling you they want to do it all over again!

My God when will the killing, just because someone is different, stop? When will the hate stop? "If ever there were more of an urgent time to repeal 'Don't Ask Don't Tell,' the social cadence of its protest has never been more haunting than now. At 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday July 1, 29-year-old Navy Seaman August Provost III was found murdered in a shack located in California's Camp Pendleton. Reportedly, Provost -- both a racial minority and sexual minority had complained to members of his family about being repeatedly harassed because of his sexual orientation. Nevertheless, Provost was inhibited from complaining formally to his superiors due to 'Don't Ask Don't Tell.'" Terrorism is not limited to foreign entities, it happens within the citizenry right here at home.

"An independent investigator has found evidence that Gov. Sarah Palin may have violated ethics laws by accepting private donations to pay her legal debts." This comes as no surprise, since Repuglicans really do believe they're above the law!
