BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

It's time to take the Doctor's advice -- "In his new book, Howard Dean's Prescription for Real Health Care Reform, the physician and former candidate explains what makes the American health care system the most expensive in the world but nowhere near the best. He calmly destroys the industry's arguments against substantial change and offers a plan to give everyone access to quality health care at a price that won't break the bank." Dr. Howard Dean knows what's best for the American people!

Stroll down memory lane -- "President George W. Bush signed into law Thursday the first major piece of legislation of his presidency, a $1.35 trillion tax cut over 10 years. Of the six senators begging President Obama to slow down health care reform, four of them -- Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Ben Nelson (D-NE), Olympia Snowe (R-ME), and Susan Collins (R-ME) -- voted for those huge Bush tax cuts." Hmm these guys weren't slowing down when they voted for George Bush's massive, gargantuan tax cuts, but they damn sure want to drag their feet, slow things down to a halt when it comes to providing health care for the American people.

On a confrence call, Rep. Jim DeMint (R-SC) told a group of his "tea party" supporters -- "'If we're able to stop Obama on this it will be his Waterloo. It will break him,' he said." Which goes to prove Repuglicans in general and Jim DeMint in particular are more interested in "breaking" President Obama than they are interested in the health and well being of the American people! Statements such as this show the whole world that Jim DeMint and his ilk are despicable, there is no wisdom in a white man who would say such a thing, there is a disconnect in the brain of a man who prefers to break our President rather than provide for the American people.

"If the government of this country tramples the faith and values of its citizens, history will hold those in power responsible for the violent convulsions that follow." -- Randall Terry." And the laws of this country will hold anyone who commits those "violent convulsions" responsible!

"The governor remains committed to repairing the damage he's done to his marriage... Spending personal time with his wife is a part of that process." If you believe that one, he'll surely come up with another one! It's more believable if he said, "committed to repairing the damage he's done to his" political career!
