BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

There's something to be said for "forgive and forget", but some things must not be forgotten in order to be forgiven. I can think of two such things that should never be forgotten: Slave Trade and the Holocaust! While the sins of the Bush Administration may not reach the same levels, those in Iraq who believe it does since more than 1 million Iraqis were killed due to the Bush/Cheney unnecessary preemptive war. The fact that in America, it is believed no one is above the law, and since there is more than a hint that many crimes were committed during the eight long years of the Bush/Cheney reign, the latest being Dick Cheney's alleged edict to the CIA to keep info from Congressional leaders, if there is to be closure, it is imperative there be an investigation and prosecutions! We need some "tough love" right here at home!

Just can't let this one go -- "Palin, in my view, is the most exciting Republican figure to emerge in decades. She mesmerizes crowds in a way that no other Republican leader can come close to matching. She has what can't be taught -- real charisma." Yeah she can mesmerize a crowd with her charisma and stir up excitement almost as much as the pole dancer in the local strip club! Sounds like this is more a case of lust than respect for the author of this fairy tale! (No offense intended to pole dancers in local strip clubs.)

What is it they say about a "bad penny always turns up," well he's baaacccck and frankly it's his methods that helped drown the Repuglican Party, "Reed aims to rejuvenate Christian conservatives." Ralph Reed was once dubbed the right hand of God by Time magazine. Just in case America needs to be reminded how this "Christian Coalition golden boy of Repuglican politics, this Georgia GOP chairman who went to work on George W. Bush's campaign", does business -- "he famously warned enemies they wouldn't know what hit them 'until you're in a body bag.'" Not the kind of speech you'd expect from a man claiming to be a "Christian" -- frankly this is the Repuglican mindset of god-government not good government, and that's the mindset that brought America to a "no tanks in the streets warfare," a warfare based on greed and the need for power, a warfare that loses the goals of good government and the good of the American people.

"Reclaim 7 Mountains of Culture then outlines seven areas of influence for Christian fundamentalists to reclaim: The Mountain of Government, 'where evil is either restrained or endorsed'," and the results of those in the American government who blathered the loudest about "morals and values" those who claimed a hold on Christianity are the ones who "endorsed evil"! Theirs was to dominate the world starting with this country, extending to the world and along the way fatten their own coffers, after all as the Repuglicans so often told us, they were doing God's work -- and somewhere on that ill fated political journey, they left America and the American people behind. The sad part is that many of those same Repuglicans are now doing their damndest looking for ways to make new inroads into government so they can begin to wield power all over again! Their methods continue to be the same, lies, attacks, downright dirty politics, and a just say NO to anything that benefits the American people, the "evil" continues. And this dear friends is the very reason the founding fathers penned a "separation of church and state in the Constitution!

"David Brooks: A Republican senator put 'his hand on my inner thigh' for a 'whole' dinner party. " Seeing as how you apparently sat there for a whole dinner with the Senator's hand on your inner thigh, it seems you must have enjoyed it! Do not try and get attention by casting aspersions on an entire group people by refusing to name names, and by the way you remain "stuffy" and boring!
