BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

"A nationwide health insurance exchange that includes a Medicare-like government option could save $1.8 trillion more than if only private plans are offered, a prominent private U.S. health policy group said on Wednesday. ... an exchange with a Medicare-like plan will save nearly $3 trillion through 2020, saving consumers up to $2,200 per household, Commonwealth found." And there you have the reason why all the hullaballoo about healthcare reform from the Repuglicans and the insurance industry!  It's the same old same old, just say NO from the Repuglicans, because lives and quality of life do not matter to Repuglican lawmakers.  The bottom line, MONEY and PROFITS are the driving force for the guys and gals sitting on the right side of the aisle in Congress and for the modern day business of healthcare!

"Sen. Bob Corker (R TN) blew off his meeting with Sonia Sotomayor last week. Hobbling along with her leg in a cast, she was 10 minutes late and he said he didn't feel like waiting."  Surprising since this guy is from a "Southern" state, and everyone knows "Southern" mothers teach their sons the ins and outs of being polite, especially to women!  Rude is unacceptable, so one has to wonder what happened to his upbringing!

By the time these mainstream media conglomerates figure out the American people are no longer interested in the brand of tabloid infotainment we've been getting from them it will be too late and the media will go the way of several other businesses here in the United States, UNDER!

Commentary: Is Obama's honeymoon over? Repuglicans and mainstream corporate media have been trying to drive a stake into President Obama's popularity ever since he was elected!  It's a not so subtle psychological battle of suggestion and it stinks.  The Repuglicans can't stand the fact that America has an intelligent man capable of critical thinking in office!  The Repuglican approach to issues has been to dive in willy-nilly without thought of the outcome and lie, lie, lie no matter the damage!  While mainstream corporate media is sticking like glue to the money, big business commercial advertising profits!  The only problem with this alliance is that the Repuglicans have destroyed the middle class and the money spending public!

"Sanford says he was in Argentina, not on Appalachian Trail."  Contrary to popular belief, the Repuglicans have found their perfect candidate for President, Mark Sanford, Governor of South Carolina! Past history shows, for Repuglicans the crazier the guy the better the candidate, and this time they've got a really good one whose qualifications are unsurpassed!

Supposition is not productive, but WHAT IF -- Hossein Mousavi was arrested by the Iranian regime and is being secretly held in an undisclosed prison location, what if the internet messages supposedly sent by Mousavi were actually generated by the Iranian regime so that the protestors would believe Mousavi was still free?  Then, what if the "movement" lacking leadership fizzled out and died because there was no leadership to guide them?  What if this is the result the Iranian regime wanted, a movement that lost its impetus, because the protestors thought their leader abandoned them?  It's a certainty that if Mousavi was arrested and that arrest became public, there would be no end to the protests, there would be a definite overwhelming revolution!
