BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

Ever wondered what it takes to shut a Repuglican up???  A Repuglican Senator whose sexual affair became public!  Nary a sound out of those usually blathering Repuglicans, not a peep, not an indignant retort, not a self-righteous holier than thou rant!!!   "The Sen. Ensign affair (pun intended) is reaching its second week, and the usual cries from the elephants over a politician sex scandal are missing."

Hmm, have to wonder why the Repuglicans are hell bent to nullify Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act! You have to know there's some hanky-panky going on when Repuglicans go to this much trouble to nullify Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act!  Take a long look around from Iran to Election 2000 and then tell me we don't need laws to guarantee the vote and the fair and just outcome of elections!  Don't let the Repuglican Party take away everyone's legal right to vote.

Given the horror that Ayatollah Khamenei has unleashed on the people of Iran, it would be logical to assume he is more like Osama bin Laden than anyone else in comparison!  Is there such a thing as legal terrorism, because what's happening to the protestors in Iran is certainly terrorism! It is amazing what power and the perceived loss of power can do to an individual, even a supposed religious individual!  It can actually turn them into the lying, cheating, killing devil incarnate!

Obviously when the Supreme Court is conservative top heavy, the law and justice will not be served, especially when the guilty parties are conservative! "The Supreme Court will not revive a lawsuit that former CIA operative Valerie Plame brought against former members of the Bush administration.  The court on Monday refused to hear an appeal from Plame and her husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson."  Unless and until the members of the Bush Administration, including Bush himself are held accountable for the crimes that they committed while in office there will never be closure and the United States of America will never be able to claim the high road in complex legal and moral issues that come up in this world of ours!  Remember it is supposed to be "no man is above the law," and that doesn't come with any exceptions!!!
