BARBARA'S DAILY BUZZFLASH MINUTE

"Supreme Leader Calls Iran Election Fair." Errr, yeah, sure. It was about as "fair" as election 2000 right here in the good ole USA!  Seems the "Supremes" in both countries have the final word and democracy is just an illusion!

I once worked with a nurse who came to the U.S. from England.  She was an excellent nurse, very advanced for the small town hospital where we worked.  She was familiar with ICU care, which was just beginning in our small hospital and she had worked in a hospice facility in England which was a concept that America was only just starting to consider. Out of curiousity I asked if she liked the U.S. and if she planned on becoming a citizen, to my surprise she said, yes she liked it here but NO she wasn't going to become a citizen.  Of course I had to ask WHY, and she told me that she wasn't about to give up the medical benefits she could get in England if ever she needed them, which should tell everyone the real truth about "universal" healthcare in the U.K.!

The moron speaks out -- and the hypocrisy continues.  How many lies does he think we'll believe?  Would someone just tell him the weather in Paraguay is tolerable!

"WSJ/NBC POLL: IS OBAMA TAKING ON TOO MUCH?" The people, and that includes all the meathead Repuglicans, who continue to ask this ridiculous question are incapable of multi-tasking!  They can't even grasp the concept.  They don't have the brains to conduct business.  They can't do more than one thing at a time and what they do manage to accomplish is always ineffective.

"Court Limits Access to DNA Evidence---Justices Rule That Inmates Lack Constitutional Right to Testing." Hmm, the Supreme Court of the United States is mimicking the Supreme Leader of Iran, in that this Conservative Court believes they have the final word on guilt and/or innocence.  Seems to me the Constitution guarantees a fair trial which would include DNA even if DNA was only recently discovered.  The Supreme Court should be about the business of protecting the innocent no matter what, but then this is a Repuglican appointed, majority conservative bunch of black robed ideologues!!!

Did anyone really think George Bush, Dick Cheney, and the Bush Administration would be forthcoming with their goings on?  This was the most secretive of any administration to date, this administration believed they were above the law, this administration  believed they could do anything they pleased, this administration obviously believed if the president and/or Dick Cheney does it, then it's legal, do you really think they would be accountable or responsible?? More than likely "shred it" was the motto for these guys!

"CNN correspondent refuses to confirm anchor’s assertions."  Christiane Amanpour is one of the few mainstream media reporters who reports the news as it actually happens.  She does not attempt to form opinion as most of the talking heads do these days, unlike the bobble heads, she doesn't "insinuate", "intimidate",  or "formulate" events, she just tells it like it is!
